This lady is wonderful. She is obviously a very skilled seamstress, and very kind as well. She did extra alterations on my middle schooler's graduation dress to keep the lines of the dress beautiful. Didn't charge extra, just did the job right when she saw how it could be done better. Will definitely be back next time we have an alteration job!

Was looking for a tailor near my office and saw this place had great reviews. I stopped in after work to have a bridesmaid jumpsuit tailored. It was $50 to take off some length and pull in the top to be a bit smaller. I was able to pick up my jumpsuit in 2 weeks (I wasn't in a rush, but I'm sure it could've been done sooner if asked) and it turned out perfectly. Would go back again if I need more clothes tailored!

Versatile! Talented! She made a special costume for my friend based on a photo. The costume was a Peppermill waitress uniform, from the chain of coffee shops that closed over 20 years ago....and I could not find an authentic one for her so Socorro was glad to help me out and made something even better than the original using only my freind's measurements. Also, for another job She did alterations and repairs on my business suit. So she is not all about glamour and weddings, she does it all for men too! I adore her, she is the sweetest lady and she did a good job for me and I wish her much success!

Marcella and team are artisan seamstresses. I needed several dresses and one jacket hemmed. The new hemlines were so concise that they were indistinguishable from the original hem. Extraordinary service delivered with kindness and warmth at an affordable price. I will never go anywhere else. This shop, and its owner are remarkable.

With just one fitting, my wedding dress was PERFECT! Everything was seamless and well measured. I couldn't be more pleased with the service, great price, and quality she put into my dress. Will be going back for future alterations.

My brother and SIL had a grooms woman dress made for me in China in preparation for their wedding. They mailed it to me, and I couldn't zip up the top, and I wasn't even sure that it could be altered with the unique style. I was leaving on vacation 2 days later on the way to the wedding. Boy, was I panicked. I found this seamstress here on Yelp, and I had nothing to lose.

She and her assistant/intern acknowledged my predicament of being pressed for time and evaluated how they could reconstruct the bodice of the dress into a new style. I liked the plan, and they agreed that they could be ready in 36 hrs for a second fitting.

I arrived around 9am a couple of days later and the dress was nearly perfect with a new elegant style that fit and was better than the original dress! She completed the second fitting and told me to come back in an hour, and it would be complete. The magic was in the service and the dressmaker's expert experience. I left for my trip an hour later, very satisfied, and thinking about what else I could bring her to alter for a new look.

Marcella was absolutely amazing and gave us the best service! We had an emergency alteration of a matron of honor dress that was 2 sizes too small and she was able to come up with an alternate style that looked and fit even better than the original style and it came out beautifully. Thank you, Marcella for staying late to finish the dress and going out of your way to help...you're the best!

The lady at Fancy Alterations in the Redwood City area quoted me $600 for a bustle and I reiterated that I can lose weight pretty easily and that I WILL lose at least 10lbs before the wedding. So when I went back for the first alteration appt, she said it looked fine and to take it home because I didn't lost the weight yet. I took it home and it was FALLING off my chest and the straps were cut too short and when I call her she tells me she can't fix it with days noticed. I was so upset and scared because my dress was STRAPLESS. I was thinking who's going to help me out this last minute? And not charge me another dress?! Thankfully I found this gem on yelp and the little Hispanic lady is soooo sweet! I had to buy her and her husband some lunch because she made me feel at ease. I didnt get my hopes up because it was last minute, but she delivered what she said she would! I picked up the dress a few days before our wedding and it fit. Thank you for saving me!

Excellent service and quality of work. I would return here confidently for any tailoring necessary. I did not even need an appointment! I just walked in with my gown and was promptly serviced. I was shown a few dresses/gowns that were being custom made and they were beautiful.

I loved her so much! i got my dress on a friday and she was able to fix it next thursday. I was a day late to picking it up but it was still ready for me. she was so helpful and I just needed a hem but she noticed i also needed to take in the strap and i'm so thankful for her. my prom was supposed to happen on saturday and she was able
to hem my dress under a week! super helpful when i called over the phone and no appointment was needed.
