Golden Auto Muffler & Brake Center

Third time using them. First two times they did my tiny little repairs for $10 so I knew they would not take me for a ride. This time I had major brake and exhaust repairs on my '98 Toyota Truck. Dealership quoted a price of $3,500. although even they admitted a muffler shop could save a few hundred. Well, the $160 for the exhaust work and $260 for the brakes was a downright bargain. Came in on a Saturday at 9 AM and they were finished by 1 PM.

I can't recommend them enough. Mike called me at every step and even told me the rear drum brakes would hold until I had to redo the front discs again. If they did traditional repairs or sold tires, I would use them exclusively. Absolutely satisfied.

A friend referred me to Golden Auto so I called for information and Matt was super informative. I took my car in on a random Wednesday, no appointment, and was serviced immediately. The service I needed was going to take 2-3 hours so luckily there was a nearby coffee shop to wait around.

Coincidentally, I was reunited with a friend who worked there as well. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They will take care of you and your car, 100% satisfaction guarantee. Not hoping to return but if my car needs TLC, I'll be back.

I was having some rattling noise and odor from my exhaust system. A different shop told me my catalytic converter was worn out ($$$!). I called and spoke to Matt and he suggest it may just be the heat shield as my make/model car was known for this issue. I brought it in for a look and sure enough some simple spot welding fixed the issue for WAY less money and time than a catalytic converter replacement requires. Thank you Golden Auto!!

I had my catalytic converter stolen and the team at Golden Auto literally had my car all patched up, back up and running within a day. I was very worried that my car would be out of commission for weeks but Matt and the team turned it around in no time. I cannot say enough good things about them--they are incredible at what they do plus all seem like phenomenal people looking to help you out wherever they can. If I encounter more car issues in the future I will definitely be going back.

Joe Lin handled the transaction and he deserves the very highest marks for his customer service! The truck was finished when promised and Joe called me when truck was ready. I went to pick up the truck and he even put the truck on the lift to show me the completed shield installation. Beautiful work! I highly recommend this family owned business in San Francisco!

Great and speedy service! My car had a broken exhaust pipe and loose muffler. Joe was friendly and thorough in explaining what repairs were needed and providing an accurate quote. The crew got it fixed in under an hour and for a reasonable price.

DO NOT WAIT. IF YOUR CATALYTIC CONVERTER HAS BEEN STOLEN ONCE, YOUR CAR HAS BEEN MARKED AND THE THEIVES WILL COME BACK AGAIN. INSTALL A CAGE!
My Honda Element had its catalytic converter stolen 3 times! (Two times they successfully got the converter; the third time they sliced the pipes.) Luckily, my body-shop person suggested installing a cage over the catalytic converter and referred me to Golden Auto Muffler. The next day I went there without an appointment, just before they opened, and waited with two other customers. They asked for a couple hours to get it done... went to a coffee shop, hung out, and came back to a great cage installation. It only cost a couple hundred bucks... don't know if someone else could have been cheaper. But they were fast, got the job done... and I haven't had a theft problem since.

My RV exhaust pipe is rusted and broken. This place has the lift to raise my RV up to replace my muffler. Price is extremely reasonable. Got the job done, excellent. I will come to them for brake service too. Good honest people!

Great service. Great price. A different shop (in another city) quoted us over $800 to fix our muffler. Got it done here for under $180.

Took my 2019 Toyota Tacoma here to reroute a low hanging pipe. I had to get it rerouted so i can fit a skid (RCI) plate. They did it the way i wanted it done. Simple as that. Ask for Matt.

Got a custom X-pipe muffler delete done here on my Porsche 911 Carrera S. It sounded great and job was overall decent. The welds aren't great which caused an exhaust leak but I was able to come back and have it fixed at no cost.
