I'm not sure why all the sub par reviews for this place, but I absolutely loved my time in here. What's not to love? Free Drinks + free food (including desserts) + a self serve alcohol cart that includes hard liquor?? I've been in airport lounges before but not ones where you can pour your own drinks. For this alone, this place deserves 5 stars.

Let's talk about the food spread first:

Minestrone Soup, Dahl soup, Pasta with Meatballs, roasted veggies, chopped baguette bread, whole croissants, sandwiches (both vegetarian option and turkey on focaccia bread with pesto sauce), tomato salad, greens salad, and a cold cut platter with assorted cheese. I didn't get to try all of this but I did have the meatballs + marinara sauce (no pasta). It was surprisingly good and I don't normally gravitate toward Italian food. The Meatball was huge and tasty, not overly salted. The Turkey Focaccia sandwich with pesto was right up my alley- nicely portioned because it was bigger than bite sized yet small enough where you could eat it all and not get stuffed.

      Dessert/ Fruit station:

Green and Red Apples, Oranges, Quarter sliced Blueberry + Poppyseed muffins, small Chocolate Chip cookies, Cheesecake Brownie bars.... These were all set up on top of a table. Right underneath this table was a glass door fridget that housed the Yogurt cups with sliced berries on top, Fresh Fruit cups, Sprite, Diet Coke, and Coke cans. Also on top of the table were canisters full of Yogurt toppings (Granola + Raisins). Next to the Yogurt toppings were Chex Mix and Nuts. I shared a piece of the Brownie Bar and it was decent.

Alcohol Station: White wine, Red wine, Sparking wine + Bottles of Hard Liquor. I was only able to make out the Tito's Vodka because while I don't drink, one of us in our party made a beeline for that that since it's her drink of choice. They also had a mini bucket of ice + tongs + cups set out for you to serve yourself.

With all of this, there were bussers coming around to clear your tables as you finished off your plates. The lounge was clean and our private bathrooms passed my standards. Pair that with some strong wifi and I couldn't complain.

While this lounge keeps with the rest of the SFO theme in appearance (outdated, a bit messy at times) the food and service here are a bit better than one would have guessed.

Having priority pass, this lounge is convenient for any folks flying out of the A terminal being that it sits at the very beginning of that sector of the airport. When entering, the I'd and boarding passes will be verified.

Once you're in, all food and drink items here are self service. We went to the anti pasti bar and found the items pretty tasty. The wine selection was also relatively well stocked with a good selection of entry level wines hailing mostly from the old world. Charging stations here can be quite tough to get a hold of especially if you're competing with the neighboring table, so people looking to charge or work on your laptops take note. Overall this place provides a convenient location for most travelers that has adequate lounge service without the inconvenience of the Amex lounge location.

Your PP Priority Pass Lounge is basically useless at this PP Lounge at SFO.

They are located on the 4th floor, immediately on the left after security check.

We arrived on a Friday evening at 9:30PM, hoping to relax and grab a drink before our red eye international flight. Our excitement was quickly left with utter disappointment as we were told "we do not take PP after 6PM". There was no warning about this on the PP app.

Upon calling PP to inquire, I was told that there is a fine print for Golden Gate Lounge stating that "GG Lounge can refuse service if the lounge is full"... well, this is pretty much a catch-all phrase to turn down service anytime they want!

What I do not appreciate is their attitude. Upon entering , they looked at us, and by the way - the patrons before and right after us --- "are you guys Priority Pass"? Then proceeded to state, before we even replied "we do not the PP after 6pm". There was no explanation that they are full and there's no rhymes or reasons given for "after 6pm". My party, the party in front and behind me (total of 8pp) were all turned away and the agents were not friendly at all. Not happy.

All I can is - don't join Priority Pass if you're unwilling to serve.

It's good in a pinch but if I had other lounge options I would choose those first. These lounges are smallish given the deluge of people now utilizing lounges. There are waiting lines to get in and food trays near empty. The food they have is found is some other lounges (Air France). The food will keep you from starving but not a reason to skip a better option and wait to go.

I arrived at 1:20pm on a Friday with a Qatar business class ticket. If you tried to enter with your priority pass, forget about it. The lounge was about 50% full but by the time I left at 2pm, there was a long line forming. This lounge is small with only 2 gender neutral bathrooms.

Food and drinks were self serve with a few exceptions. For food they had:

      Minestrone soup
      2 types of penne pasta
Meatballs with mushroom in marinara sauce
Roasted green beans, carrots and potatoes
      Veggie sliders
      Turkey sandwiches
      Tomato salad
      Garden salad
      Cheese and deli meats
      1/2 sliced croissants and bread

They also had a few selections of desserts that included cakes, yogurt with fruits and mini cupcakes. Not my favorite lounge especially for a business class ticket holder but we had no other option.

As a Delta medallion member traveling in business class with Aeromexico, I was told that the Golden Gate Lounge was where I had lounge access to. With a 1:30pm flight to Mexico, I got to the Golden Gate Lounge at 12pm, and it was mostly empty. This was most welcomed - to seek refuge in a quiet lounge right before my flight. I suppose this is because not many flights depart from the international terminal at lunch time. Note, this is also a priority pass lounge, so I am sure it can get busy during peak hours (lunch time not being one of them). There is limited seating, but during off hours there's enough for everyone.

For lunch they had a variety of standard American lounge fare including vegetarian and meat sandwiches, pasta salad, garden salad, charcuterie spreads, and for beverages - wine, soft drinks, water. Food was nothing remarkable, but provided good sustenance prior to my flight!

Overall I would give this lounge a solid 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 for dishing out reliable food and drink options and a quiet space to chill. While I haven't had the chance to come here when it is extremely crowded or busy... I can say (at least) if you're here during lunch time, you'll likely have a more pleasant experience like I did. Cheers!

Golden Gate Lounge is located in the international terminal and, overall, is an okay lounge. It's not glamorous and the seats are worn down and a bit dirty, but it's still a lounge nonetheless and more comfortable than sitting at the gate. We arrived at the lounge just as it was opening, which was nice because the food was fresh and the lounge wasn't to crazy.

For food, the lounge features a buffet. Since it was the morning, there were eggs, sausage patties, sausages, salad, Costco croissants, yogurt, fruit, veggies. Drinks consisted of tea, coffee, soft drinks, and alcohol. I recommend the sausage links, which were tasty. Eggs were okay, kinda weird texture like an instant egg? Fruit was good except for the green grapes, which were sour. Yogurt was good. They have a selection of assorted tea but the hot water option was not working on the water dispenser. Staff seemed nice but didn;t interact too much with guests in the lounge.

Golden Gate Lounge located in the international gate section is a solid lounge. I've seen much better but I also have seen way worse lounges. This is a small lounge with limited restroom access, small seating area, a only a few charging ports. But the food and drink selection is decent. Not bad but great. It's enough to for a light meal or snack. Quality of food was ok.

Would I go to this lounge again. Yes, I would.

Golden Gate Lounge is located on the fourth floor in the international terminal so it's a little out of the way if you're not leaving from there. However, you can take the air train to/from all the other terminals to the international terminal but you'll have to go through security multiple times.

When you get through security, go to the left and you'll come across a bunch of TVs with all the lounges listed. The lounge itself is small but it works. They also have free wifi separate from the airport wifi. The food was surprisingly good and they had self-serve alcohol. They also have vegetarian options and other snacks and drinks that you can grab and go.

I like that this lounge is open throughout the day and also doesn't limit its hours for Priority Pass members (unlike another lounge I tried going to first). I had a pretty good experience here and the staff was friendly.

There are a lot of people with certain expectations in these reviews. I had a great experience coming here. The people at the front desk were very nice and friendly with the baby. Everything is poured in a cup with some bottles beverages. Plenty of food and a great cheese board with some meats and cheese. It's a small space so I imagine it can be full on a busy day. Though there are 2 other lounges to choose from for priority pass members. The workers are friendly and it was nice to have some milk to give to our baby.
