Recently I was walking my dog and saw an individual loading a van with tools. As I approached the van, I could see how the van was clean with tools going into drawers. When I saw the name of the business Goodfellow Plumbing, I asked him if he could look at a valve that needed to be replaced on one of our faucets at our house and that we had the part. Noel, the owner said he could and came right over. He replaced the part in 10 minutes. He was so efficient and friendly and I'm sure he had been packing up for the day when I first approached him. We will definitely use him for other things in our bathroom that need replacing in the future. I highly recommend him!

I have no idea why Goodfellow Plumbing does not even come in top 10-20 when I put the name here on YELP. I called 5-6 in the so-called top 10 and those that would give a quote were all higher and left it open with "what ifs" that would allow them to charger more. This was a very simple replacement of an outdoor PVC hose adapter and I knew from my own experiences that it would not take more than an hour.

Thankfully, I am one that will not take "NO" for an answer and continued to search more and finally got to 'Goodfellow' buried somewhere deep in Yelp San Mateo. THEY SHOULD BE NUMBER ONE based on my experience today and like others have noted, here are the reasons why:

1. Noel IMMEDIATELY called me back within minutes and told me he could have his partner, Dominic, here within 2 hours - say WHAT?

2. When I described the problem verbally over the phone, he estimated less than an hour, plus parts. I even texted him a photo to make sure he understood what I needed to replace.

3. When I called back to confirm the appointment, I told him I was retired and on fixed income and he offered Senior Discount at $100/hour, which is as low as any plumber has quoted me for other work over the last several years.

4. Dominic arrived at the early part of the 2 hour window and wasted no time - he had the simple PVC part with him and even recommended a more direct way to place it for future ease of use.

5. As estimated, he was done well within the hour and the part he used was only $10.

Bottom line, these guys are go getters with smart business heads to boot - they KNOW that plumbing issues usually are a priority and a panic for people when they happen and they are MOST responsive and MOST reasonable and MOST honest.

Hope they stay in business as long as I am around to need them!

Had a leaky toilet that needed to be fixed. Noel texted me back right away with their availability. Booked appointment over text. Dominic showed up promptly within the time window. He was courteous and efficient. Got everything fixed within one hour and also fixed another minor issue on another toilet. Their rates are in-line with other plumbers i called. Really liked their responsiveness and ability to take care of the problem quickly.

Our water heater was broken for many years. We had several plumbers come in and attempt to fix it.

After using three different plumbers who were unable to diagnose the problem, Noel came in and fixed our issue. He's extremely knowledgeable and most importantly, honest. He shared everything that was going on in the system and laid out my different options going forward.

I appreciated his honesty throughout the process; when parts weren't available or when parts were going to be late, he updated me and kept me in the loop.

I would highly recommend his services. We switched from a very complicated tankless system to a commercial grade tank system and he knew both systems well.

Excellent services from Goodfellow Plumbing. They did a great job on replacing the water heater for me a couple years ago. I recently got a leaky drain pipe in my crawlspace and I hired them again. Called several plumbers in the local area and Noel promptly returned my call (big plus!!!). Not only did he return my call, he was able to come out the following morning. He was able to fix my leaky, old faucet in no time. He was also available to assess an issue I had with the water backing up in my kitchen sink, however, it left him scratching his head as he headed out. I hope he'll be able to solve that mystery, but for now, he's fixed what I called him for and I am one happy person! Thank you Noel!

Noel has done a great job over the years with our 20-year home's plumbing. When our old SubZero fridge died, and the newer models required rerouting of the plumbing in our walls and floor, Noel was able to do it to perfection for the custom install. Water heater crapped out, Noel got us a new one in no time and we were back in business. The latest challenge was a separate shut off valve for our yard's irrigation system that required some detective work -- not a problem, Noel figured it out. Putting in our new kitchen faucet was just a piece of cake for him. Very responsive, patient, and knowledgeable-- highly recommended!
