      Do merchants accept Apple Pay?

      A:

Don't know, most of the merchants are independent businesses so there would not be and answer that would cover them all.

I'm really conflicted on writing this review. The market itself is so very cool. You have a true fish monger in here. A true butcher. A great spice vendor. Chocolatier. Prepared food ready to go. Candy. Cheese and Charcuterie. Fruits and veggies. A whole variety of almost anything that you could want.

So, why am I conflicted????? OMG, look at the prices in the pictures. If you are not worried about money, then it won't matter. But if you have any sort of a budget or make less than 250K+ a year, it might matter to you.

Avocados at $5 each, that I complain about if I have to spend more than $1 each at home. Limes at $1.79 each, and I just picked them up locally for 15 cents each. Pineapples at $10 each where I just got them for $1.25 locally. Clementines, $15 for a 3-pound bag, I paid $4 for the same brand at home. Just WOW! I do understand the rent, weather, transport, all those other things, but I live in one of the top 5 most expensive places in the USA as well.

The market itself is great, wonderful to walk through and peruse all the goods. Maybe if you are looking for something special, unique, out of the ordinary. But there are much less expensive options throughout the city.

      $5 Avocados...OUCH!
      $15 Clementines...

There is a nice variety of loose tea leaves and spices,

Maybe take a pass on their fruit.

I bought cut up mangoes and watermelons, fresh blueberries, raspberries from Eli Zabars Farm to Market.

All of the fruit was good except for the raspberries. Half of the packet was molded, green and black mold on the batch. Gross.

A wonderful feast for the senses here in the market. No matter what you are seeking, you can find it here. In a pinch to bring a treat home or to a party? Come on by for fresh seafood, cheeses, fruit, veggies, sweets, pasta, salads, it's all here!

I picked up a crisp local apple that was delicious! Crisp and juicy. Next is a black and white cookie from Eli Zabar.

While all of the black and white cookies look the same, there are differences in preparation and taste. This cookie has a hint of lemon and then is a bit dry for me. Having had the cookie from Willam Greenberg, anyone elses cookie doesn't compare for now. I'll suck it up and keep looking.

Be sure to walk through this great market before lunch time because it can be crowded.

This place reminded me of a mini chelsea market vibes.

Located inside the Grand Central Station.

Array of different food booths and even carried a CAVIAR booth. Now thats classy!

One booth had samples and it was the gourmet deli meat and cheese area.

They had a fruit stand booth, deli meat and cheeses, caviar, fresh seafood, breads and bakery aisle, Aromatics seasonings that is freshly grounded, Produce booth, Hummus section, Japanese sushi booth.

Opted for a fruit bowl since I was craving fresh fruits due to the heat and humidity.

The fruit bowl consisted of orange, canteloupe, honeydew, strawberries, grapes, pineapples and watermelon. It was refreshing however some of the fruits were not ripe enough.

They carried cookies that are shaped of the taxi cab, a metro card LOL excellent souvenir gifts for the foodies.

This place is def a foodie vibes place to buy excellent gifts to love ones. I would recommended it since I am a true foodie gal!

Kind of reminds me of Pikes Place... A narrow market with some expensive prices, but you can find bread, cheese, fish, creamed spinach, spices, chocolate, pre-packaged salads, and desserts here.

Large speciality marketplace with lots of nice items to choose from. Always a convenient "go to" in Grand Central when looking for something quick to eat as well as a great place to pick up something last minute before leaving town.

I'm a bustling hub where vendors unite,
In the city that never sleeps, I shine so bright.
Underneath this celestial ceiling so vast,
Guess where I am, where time moves fast?

Amidst the transit, a market grand,
Where flavors converge, a foodie's dreamland.
Tracks above, a symphony of trains,
Can you name this place, where commerce reigns?

There are so many great places to purchase from. I was downtown the other day and something just told me to take a walk thru so I did. I met so many of the owners they gave me a lot of samples. Especially the manager of the Chocolate shop
