Hands down one of the best restaurants in Toronto. From start to finish, Grandma Loves You is really a one-of a-kind experience.

For starters, the staff makes Grandma Loves You such a wonderful experience. I had a hard time picking a sandwich from their huge menu, but the owner did a great job of walking me through the options and making fantastic recommendations. While we were there, the shop got really busy. The owner knew every single person who walked through the door and greeted everyone so warmly. I love how personal the experience is and how the staff takes the time to get to know its customers.

And of course, the sandwich itself was amazing. I was first drawn to this shop because of its creative menu and the sandwiches did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was so yummy, I only regret that we did not have room to try more. Looking forward to our next visit and trying more sandwiches!

Grandma Loves You has been a favorite of mine since its days in Rosedale, and the move to the new location at Yonge-St. Clair has only elevated my love for this charming eatery. The new spot is more spacious, offering more tables and a welcoming ambiance that perfectly captures the essence of a visit to Grandma's house.

This time around, we opted for the Chef's Choice hot sandwiches. The sandwiches were brimming with perfectly grilled chicken, crispy bacon, gooey mozzarella, and creamy avocado (and more). Every bite was a comforting hug for the taste buds. Their hotdogs are also worth mentioning; always a solid choice for anyone craving a classic done right.

The service here is as warm and inviting as the food. It feels like coming home every time we visit. I highly recommend Grandma Loves You to anyone looking for delicious comfort food served in a cozy, familial setting. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I was walking up Yonge Street and wanted to grab a quick lunch, so Grandma Loves You seemed like a perfect choice. (I'd been wanting to try their food for a while.)

I was tempted by a bunch of their offerings but I had to go with the Chefs Choice ("Grilled chicken strips, avocado, tomato, hot pepper, fresh onion, olives, crispy onion, pesto sauce and Grandma's homemade hot sauce").

(When in doubt, always go with something featuring the restaurant's name or the word chef in it.)

It was ready about 10 minutes after I ordered it and it's a solid sandwich. Though none of the individual components are anything too special (i.e. I'd be very surprised to learn that they cooked that chicken themselves), everything works quite well together. It's just a solid, flavorful sandwich.

(The doughy, chewy bread wasn't great, though, since it meant the components kept getting squished out of the sandwich. A soft roll would've been far more appropriate.)

      Chefs Choice sandwich.

10/10 sandwiches and all-grilled beef hot dogs. The owners are lovely people who are committed to serving fresh and delicious food. One of my fave spots in Toronto since 2020!

Made a visit with a friend yesterday (Saturday) evening at 5pm. There were 2 people ahead of us waiting on their orders. It's tucked in the inner corner of a plaza, steps away from what seems to be a brand new Starbucks. A block away from Rosedale Station. Inside there's very limited single person high seating, 4 bar-style stools if I recall correctly.

Came because of the hype and definitely felt grandma's love. I ordered the meatball & cheese, and end to end of the sub was a huge meatball? Meatloaf? It tasted great. I've been craving a meatball marinara sub from subway for a long, long time. Unfortunately, this was not a good replacement and did not hit the spot - this one was a bit salty with the vegetables not helping to balance the flavour. But, it was still good and a great portion. I don't really buy sandwiches so I think the portion:price ratio was good (I ordered the 6-inch).

Would LOVE to come back and try their hot dogs and other sandwiches.

Ordered the Persian dog. It was delicious. Lot of cheese, nice sausage, and the mix of toppings came together very well.

Will try adding some of those in my own hot dogs at home.

Place is small with 4 seats. Maybe there's tables outside during warmer seasons. Expect to take out

I saw a video about their French Hiot Dog and I made a special trip to try it. What a disappointment. It was supposed to be served in a fresh croissant but they were out of Croissants so they served it in a hot dog bun that must have been at least 3 days old. A terrible and expensive experience for a hot dog that would have tasted better on the corner.

Delicious and worth the hype. I did order no olives and got olives but other than that it was spectacular.

I love this place. When I first heard about it, the hype was insane and they'd sell out before you could even get hungry. But now that they have a few locations and some of the initial hype has come down a bit, you can order no problem. The quality never dropped. The sandwiches are so good. I've had the spicy ham which I never thought I'd like and I now think about it. The sandwiches are also massive. The woman who owns it is SO lovely. Every time I have gone in she has given me a few little brownies on the house. It's pretty much a walk in and order type of place so you take your sandwich to go. There's a park a block away from the Yonge location so I've always taken it there to eat but everyone who works there has been friendly and the ambiance is inviting (a little quick though!) highly recommend

      Insane Shrinkflation.

Have had several sandwiches from here over the years. Always get the 6inch Italian and has always been a big piece of bread and lots of toppings. Just ordered one and was literally half the size they used to be for same price. Size of a hotdog bun now. Pretty disappointing.

These subs are very similar to those from a chain called Cousins back in the old country (the US Midwest). Cousins makes the best subs in Murka, and by extension, Grandma subs are the best. The bread is crusty and chewy, but not enough to squeeze out all the stuffing. The meats are generously portioned and of excellent quality, better than Cousins, though I would personally like a tad more oregano and pepper shake and maybe a bit more oil and vinegar. Overall, I'm glad to have access to superior sub sandwiches again. The croissants are also very tasty - a nice touch.
