Grandview Tire & Auto Centre

I brought my car in last week for an oil change and general tune up/ a few small repairs, and really had just just such a refreshing experience. I would definitely recommend Grandview Tire -- excellent service.

As someone very critical, I generally avoid taking my car in to get fixed because I hate the feeling that I am going to be ripped off/taken advantage of for the combo of being female and only having average knowledge about my car. At Grandview Tire, I didn't feel like this at all -- I felt like they were extremely fair with their pricing and gave honest feedback about the state of my car (which is getting up there in age!). I can honestly say that I didn't feel like they used 'scare tactics' about any future work -- very clear and straightforward about what should be more of a priority, what and would just be generally beneficial, but not crucial right now/but something to look at soon. Their prices were very reasonable, and they were extremely professional and friendly. I can't emphasize how nice it is to feel as though I was given good service, good prices, and was not being overquoted/taken advantage of. I wish other garages would recognize how detrimental it really is to their business to overquote, or exaggerate the necessity of certain repairs that could probably wait (I can't say how many places I've never gone back to due to overquoting, or pushing unnecessary repairs). I will definitely go back to Grandview tire in the future, and would recommend them to anyone.

Firstly, I am a woman. This is important because there have been times when I have felt spoken down too perhaps with the assumption that I know nothing about cars. In fact, I do know a moderate amount. I prefer not to announce this upon my arrival so that I can see if the person behind the counter is trying to take me for a ride or if they are being straight forward and honest.

I have been coming to this shop for years now. Ed, Corey and Jordan take all the applause and the koodos but there are several people working there whom I have never met.

I have never been talked down to or had anything pointed out or suggested to me that hasn't been reasonable.

I love this shop because they give me the option to prevent big problems and keep my vehicle well maintained or to let them go and face the consequences with no judgement. Sometimes I just can't afford to do the little finicky things even though I know I'll pay later.

I DID have an issue once. I was SO angry! When I cooled down enough I called Ed and explained my frustration. He was amazing. He listened (thank you for that by the way Ed!). He heard me AND he offered a solution that made me feel really good. I really appreciated that.

In the end, when I take my vehicle(s) there I feel safe and that my vehicle will get the attention it needs.

The fact that they are nice and welcoming is icing on the cake!
Now if I could just get ED to FINALLY give me a Benz instead of the Caravan I dropped off!

I have a "modern" car with no spare tire, so when I discovered a flat tire last week I did a temporary repair with the on-board compressor and sealant kit and drove it for a few days before I was able to get it repaired. I found Grandview Tire in the same space as Lee's Transmissions, between Gourmet Warehouse and No-Frills. I pulled in and Brad asked if I'd driven on the flat tire. When I said no he said likely an easy fix, give me 30 minutes. He was as good as his word as well as courteous, competent and efficient, and he charged me a reasonable price.

Absolutely fantastic service. I was in the automotive business for four decades before retiring In 2014. I recognize good service.
Thpeople at Grandview Automotive are friendly, professional and explain everything in detail so you can understand ctly what work is to be do

I bought used Honda fit from Jay park, he helped me find great car that fits in my budget. I am glad he helped me out and the management was also very friendly. I will definitely come back here for my next car purchase

Incredible service, Edward is very friendly and helped pick right rims and a style that looks so good on my vehicle. I shopped for price and checked with many companies in the Vancouver and Burnaby area, Grandview Tires prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend you to come here for a hassle free experience.

Great service. They were quick to reply with an estimate and were able to get in the next day for service. We also saved $400 compared to the Audi dealership for the same tires and more rapid service. Highly recommend!

I've had service done on my Subaru here a couple of times over the years. It always felt like I was getting great service and valuable feedback.

**Amended previous review**

I had previously written a lower rated review based on the prices for bearing work on my 06 tacoma. I was contacted by Grandview on observing the review, and we went through them together. There was some mis-communication on the verbally quoted hours and the actual hours billed, which was cleared up. They also explained the difference in bearing quality that they had used, warranting a higher cost.

The place is welcoming, the staff courteous, and the work is professional. I have used them multiple times, and would use them again. I would also add, that I was impressed by their manager contacting me on reading my previous review. It's a huge +++ when a company show's they are aware and in contact with their customer base.

Grandview Tire continues to amaze me. They kept my 25 year old Ford in superb running condition, and I just purchased a new to me Nissan from one of their customers.

I still had the pre-sale inspection done, even though they had done the work on the car for years. Bought the car, took a week long road trip with no problems.

I'm now driving a luxury couch on wheels vehicle! OMG.

Bonus - GT is a diverse, totally accepting shop. You know what I mean.

We've been going to this mechanic for years and find them to be very trustworthy and helpful. Special thanks to Ed, who is always full of good advice! We never feel we have to worry about being taken advantage of - very honest and quick-working team.
