excellent quality work and very honest people. I have brought two vehicles here and have been very happy with the quality of the work, the accurate estimate of when things would be finished, and with the bill.

On one occasion the dealership quoted me a large amount to repair something. I brought the truck here and the mechanic found it was some minor issue and saved me about $1200. I believe many other shops would've tried to increase the bill with unnecessary work.

Terrible experience. Complete waste of time making the problem worse than when I brought it in.

As usual, I brought my Jetta in for it's scheduled maintenance and was pleasantly surprised. Not only is my car running much smoother, but Steve let me know that the expensive items I had to worry about could be deferred a bit longer (brakes). Less expensive than anticipated, and I scheduled a follow-up visit to do the brakes

These guys and gals are solid, honest, timely, and have excellent customer service. I recommend them without reservation.

I own a 1991 Suzuki Swift GTI. Black on black with the rally package etc. I love this little car. It is all heart. All 110 hp! In its day was a real screamer and handles like a go cart. Now 21 years old, there is some work to be done. I was very lucky to have met the guys at Granville and Avery. They are courteous, honest, very thoughtful and know their trade. Generally great guys.

For example: I had my transmission go which, basically for a car with a re-sell value of $2,200, means the car is done. A new transmission is $5,000 as the car has racing heritage (believe it or not) and red lines at 7000 rpm and the transmission has to be a tank. Well they bartered with their supplier and got a brand new one (last in Vancouver BC) for $1,500.

Other little things, I came by with a wind noise and was opting for a new seal trim for the driver's door. No worries said the mechanic and he took a hammer and deftly inserted and pushed and bent the door a bit and no wind noise and no charge too!

Lastly, I was coming back from Squamish doing my comfortable 150 kph and all of the sudden my engine went from that sweat tune to a bloody roar... took the car in and apparently I had bit a bump and the header had broken free from exhaust pipe so I was basically tracker pull, fully open exhaust. I was so loud people wouldn't let me merge on Stanley park bridge as I was one of 'those guys' :) They welded it up for no charge and fixed my console too! Mechanic waited for me so I didn't have to deliver the loaner first thing in the morning. I am not a morning person...

These guys are classic small business people. Doing it old school. Great service, fair and honest pricing and wiling to go the extra mile for their customers.

Steve was friendly on the phone. He let me know I could bring in my car today. They recharged my a/c and checked for leaks. Happy with the service and quality of work completed.

Went there for an out of province inspection. Booked on Thursday and received service next Tuesday. Inspection took 1 hour 45 minutes. Friendly, quick service, no-stress.

Avery auto repair shop is owned and operated by amazing staff who provide such honest service! They are by far one of the few inexpensive and reliable auto shops I have ever experienced! They take the time to explain exactly what they will do to repair or service your car. They break down the cost of parts and labour and answer any questions you may have without sounding rushed or in a hurry. Even though they are a very busy shop, they take care.

I called around to see how much it would cost to get the AC in my car fixed. The condenser was cracked and needed to be replaced. The total cost including tax and after the BCAA certified shop discount was approximately $530. Every other shop I called quoted around $700 plus taxes. I just trusted my gut feeling after reading various reviews and I'm totally happy! They did an amazing job and even provided me with a loaner car for the day! This is now my "go to" auto shop! Thank you Jerry, Steve, Mel, and the rest of the shop crew! :)

Very friendly, honest and experienced! Back in a few years, I got winter tires changed for my car at Canadian Tire ( 12th Ave.). Then my car made a horrible spin one day when I was heading to work. Thank God there were no cars on the other lane (which is impossible for it was a very busy road). I went back to Can Tire and they said it wasn't their fault. Then got a weird and annoying sound from my car since then. I tried Toyota, One-Stop Auto and spent a few hundred bucks, still couldn't got it fixed. Thank God again my roommate found this place and I took my car there. They fixed it in less than 30 mins and didn't even charge anything. Since then I always take my car there for service. They never charged me extra. And I found that out that the boss is a Christian too. He really lives out his belief by willing to go extra miles!
