Grizzly Moving & Storage

This is a rare review in which I wish I could give more than 5 stars for a non-food related business.

To preface this, my boyfriend and I have been in dire need of leaving our current apartment and finding our new home was just a portion of that mission- finding great movers was a critical factor to our move as well.

I looked through Yelp in search for a reputable movers. At first, I was interested in another moving company. However, after I reached out to Grizzly, their quick and accommodating response won me over, along with their sublime quote (you pay a little bit less if you pay with cash).

Below are the reasons to my 5-star review.

Response Time: 5/5
Like I mentioned above, they responded the fastest between them and the other moving company I inquired with. Any customer will be happy with that.

(Pre-move) Booking/Screening Process: 5/5
They provided me with a questionnaire so they can better prepare their movers! It was rather lengthy but I provided them with LOTS of details and even photos of the origin destination (place we're moving FROM) and indicated where they can park and any other special instructions such as entrance/exit location. Do the questionnaire and fill it out as much as you can and provide photos! You will set up the movers for success and efficiency.

(During the move) Moving Process:
We worked with VUGAR and RUSSEL. This is our first time having movers and they were both kind, hardworking, and honest. When they arrived, a few things took place first: what exactly are we moving/leaving behind and paperwork/contract. I left for a bit after they started and when I returned, they basically had most of the boxes moved into the truck and all that was left were the big items and furniture. Overall, the process was 4 hours. Take note, though, that movers charge DOUBLE TIME for driving TO THE ORIGIN DESTINATION and from the origin destination TO THE FINAL DESTINATION/YOUR NEW HOME. It was impressive and their hard work was truly appreciated.

This goes hand-in-hand with their response time during my initial inquiry and throughout the whole moving process.

Customer Service- For Jing, Vugar, and Russell: 5/5
Jing was the representative that answered my initial questions about quotes, the process, and the booking/screening.

As for Vugar and Russel- don't let the company name fool you! These guys were teddy bears! As in- they were gentle and hardworking at the same time! They were soft spoken too and there were times that I had to really listen to what Vugar was telling me, haha.

Both of them worked their butts off and I helped them along the way with some bagels and coffee :)

The guys were extremely polite, thorough and careful. They asked us often where we wanted furniture to be put down, showed us the inside of their truck to make sure nothing was left behind, asked us if they can use the bathroom/have water every single time, etc. Their actual packing was impeccable as well and they used industry-standard packing materials and technique to ensure that our belongings were delivered to our new home as safely as possible. The biggest task was probably did was disassembling and re-assembling our queen size bed and they did a phenomenal job with that!

They also went as far as throwing away our old L-shaped couch. They had to walk all the way to the back of the alley to throw it. This goes to show how much they went beyond expectations for a customer.

I think I can go for awhile praising Grizzly, so I'll end this with.. don't look any further for your moving needs- choose Grizzly! They are also a smaller company so you would be supporting a local business. I hope our next move won't be for at least another 2 years but I will most definitely use them again in the future and ask for VUGAR and RUSSEL if possible.

I've used Grizzly moving services 2 times in the past. And they were ABSOLUTELY amazing with the quality of service rendered. Me and my husband moved from San Diego to Colorado a few springs ago, and for the Value in which we paid, we were impressed with the service. We had a 2 story house and was full of heavy furniture and 2 grand pianos which my son had in separate parts of the house! The estimator came, and was very polite, he asked before he entered in every room, he even vacuumed a room because it had "Top Ramen" noodles spilled on the carpet! He gave us our estimate, we loved the low price for such hard work, so we moved forward with this and the following week we had a few strong men show up as professional as can be!
They first covered the carpet and all furniture was wrapped for protection purposes! Next thing you know, we are in Colorado in our new house, everything was placed where it should be, and it was amazing how fast and courteous the employees were at Grizzly moving!! I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR LOW PRICING AND QUALITY OF SERVICE!

Showed up late. Was charged extra because THEY got lost! Damaged my brand new walls in a just built house, by banging my furniture against them. Dented my brand new washing machine, that had never even been used. Would NOT recommend if you want to keep your nice things nice, not get charged extra because of their faux pas and receive no apology for any of it.

2/17/2024 UPDATE: After receiving communication from the company to "make things right". There has been NO communication. They are truly deserving of NO STARS at this point. Horrible company, horrible communication, just horrible all around!

I hate moving. So much. But Grizzly made our recent move out of our 3-bed 2 story home so delightful.

We booked them just about a week prior to the move and they still had availability. We asked for "partial packing" where we packed most things but they helped pack any remaining items or things we found to be too big for boxes.

They came at 8:30am and were done by 1:30. They got our boxes and furniture and got the rest of the items packed up in just over an hour, and took about 2 hours to unload. We were doing a local move. They put moving boxes and wrap around our furniture that 99% of our items were in the same condition we had them picked up in, with the exception of small wheels on some furniture falling off in transit.

They were really transparent with pricing and there werent any unexpected costs in the end. They included a few boxes, moving blankets and wraps as part of the price. When they were packing our stuff, they needed a few extra boxes and asked us first if we wanted to purchase them. We declined and decided that the items were small enough that we could personally move them after.

Overall, would 100% hire grizzly again if I was moving. It was definitely a bit pricier than self moves, but the reduced stress and speed made it So worth it.

Great company to hire for your move. Crew showed up at 8 am and didn't stop for the next 11 hours( we had a massive place to move). Disassembled all the furniture, wrapped everything securely, helped to pack some last minute things. Moved to our new place, put things in order. They were really pleasant and made sure that we are happy with the overall furniture arrangement before they left. Nothing got broken or even scratched. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs moving services.

I'm so happy to be a customer of this company again. I have already used the services of these guys and just decided to contact them again. Anton, Ilya and Alex were really professional. They were pretty organized and behaved friendly. I asked for 3 movers and one truck.
On moving day the guys arrived right on time and they were really polite and fast.
They took the time to wrap all of our items in blankets and protective wrap. I had a lot of big pieces of furniture and guys had to take huge items all the way to the third floor. They were so pleasant and friendly during the entire move.

I had a different experience with another moving company, it was really bad. I highly recommend you Grizzly moving and Storage company. Seriously guys, you are the best!

My movers were Demian and I forgot the other's name but they were both awesome. Very efficient.

Grizzly Moving is a very well run business. We needed our furniture moved out of our house for a remodel and every part of the move was handled beautifully. They picked up our furniture, wrapped and packed our kitchen and stored everything for six months. Today they came on time worked diligently, asked questions as needed and were extremely helpful. I was very impressed! I would hire them again in a minute!

Erinque and his crew from Grizzly were outstanding. They were on time, fast, careful, and knowledgeable. They dealt with some bulky, oddly-shaped furniture and my 10 tons of books on a steep staircase with a short landing and sharp turn - proving themselves to be skilled, experienced, and strong! They were very careful of my properties and belongings, and were fun and friendly to boot! I highly recommend them!

So my experience with them would have been pleasant up until they damaged my bed frame and tried to blame it on me, they have told me that it was like that when they have disassembled , but I was there- the bed was fine, it must have been broken in the truck , but they did not was to take the responsibility . driver have told me that he can deduct $40 from the bill , and another $50 for a 5 star review. No , thank you, I need my bed fixed

On February 9th 2024, Harris the new manager of Grizzly Moving personally contacted my family after reading a negative review we posted from a awful experience. Back in June 7th 2021 it took 8 plus hours for the movers to move out my storage unit, and previous residence, to move into a third location; my new apartment. All the boxes were pre-packed, and sensitive items wrapped before the movers arrived. This was to cut down on the amount of hours moving and subsequent extra fees by being ready to just load, and then unload the boxes from the truck to its final destination.

Harris the new manager voluntarily inherited this past issue to make things right for me the customer. The fact that he took accountability for the company, and responsibility to the customer speaks volumes of his good character. The bad moving experience happened under different management and I could not fault him for something when he never was with Grizzly Moving at the time. I was pleasantly surprised by him wanting to refund the extra 3 hours beyond the 4-5 hours that was originally planned.

I told Harris, back then or any time a good review would have been written if the overall experience was good. But it wasn't, and that is why a negative review was written. Literally 2 days after Harris and I talked, he had a refund check in my hand, and I promised to provide a positive review and update our yelp members that my situation was completely resolved in a caring, professional, and helpful way.

Because of Harris, Grizzly Moving has won back my trust, and future business. Because if what Harris wanted to do for me and all the other customers who had past unresolved issues. Grizzly Moving is in good hands with Harris as the new manager.
