Guru Electronics Car Audio

I was looking for complete stereo for my new promoter van and these guys said no we do not have anything compatible to your van . Granted it was not what I wanted hear but with some detective work they are 100% correct.
There is nothing out there at this point in time !
They did not BS me to make a quick sale but gave sound advise this speaks volumens for the honest work ethic . I will buy an amp, speakers, sub and when a compatible head receiver unit is out I will also pick one from these guys.

Got a radar detector installed and it went flawless wires hidden and all on my RAM. Turnaround time was quick too. Really appreciate the help from the employees as well.

Easy dashcam install for my car and they were able to integrate an iPhone charging cable into the trim so I could mount my phone on the windshield without messy cords.
Very good service-- I was able to get a same-day installation after calling to setup earlier in the week. Even so, expect to arrive early because they get busy at opening time!!
note: I bought a compatible dashcam elsewhere, online and brought it in for installation

July 2024: Guru is in the Industrial area of San Jose just North of the 101 off the 13th/Oakland Rd exit. My son called ahead to talk about adding a front dash and rear camera to the car. He ordered off Amazon the VIOFO A229 camera online along with the VIOFO HK4 Hardwire Kit that is needed to hide the cords and to run off the battery when the car is off.

Guru electronics charged $170 for the install and did a great job of hiding the wires and wiring the fuse box.

We paid an additional $100 for an extra 12v adaptor hidden under the driver side that connects a USB-C cord to a windshield mounted phone holder to reduce cord clutter. The adapter makes it easy to swap out phone cords in the future.

Have to say I'm impressed with the speed (just a couple of hours) and the quality of the install. I appreciate them taking their time to explain how they did the install and the settings they used to minimize battery drain. Would highly recommend.

Golf cart
has BOOM!

I spoke with guru last week about putting a sub in the golf cart. Today, I brought it in, and got the install done. Install went smooth and done well. Their install crew is nice guys and do good work!!

Sunny knew exactly what needed to be done on my 2018 Highlander and knew exactly which parts I needed. Super quick responses and was on top of everything.

The day I ask a quote for my dash cam to be installed Sunny did a great job telling me the quote. I made appointment for Saturday 3/30/24 and I came a little bit earlier then the time of my appointment and they told me to bring in my dash cam. Sunny came to talk to me and walk through how they going install my dash cam. They told me two hours and they did finish in two hours which a plus.

Overall they have excellent customer service. I will definitely come back.

I called Guru Electronics to get a quote for carplay in my old honda and was greeted by a very experienced and pleasant person who explained me the process and estimated cost including everything i.e. parts, installation, etc.
When I arrived at the shop, sunny was kind enough to explain me my options and what kind of carplay would be best suited for my needs and budget.
Not only the installation took lesser time than what I expected (~2 hours), they actually delivered more than what was promised. They even managed to remap my steering controls to work with carplay (remapping doesn't work in every car, which is why they don't promise all this before). And just few hours later, I am ordering google assistant to navigate and and tell me about the weather, haha
They even have a nice waiting room with wifi.

I came here 15 minutes after opening and was able to get help right away when I walked in. They are great at communicating, especially when you request a quote through Yelp, which was extremely helpful!

Sunny is beyond a guru when it comes to car audio. He was checking the settings in my car before suggesting me the right audio that would fit best with my preferences. Sunny and his team were able to finish installing my subwoofers under an hour, since I was the first customer to walk in. By the time they were almost finished, a lot of people began coming in to get installations and it became so busy.

I'm beyond satisfied with their services and before even coming here, I came in with high expectations for this place because of all the satisfied reviews I've read. I'm definitely coming back to upgrade my car play system when I'm more available.
