We enjoyed the tan tan noodles. We've had the dish in numerous places, especially in the San Gabriel valley, but the hand made noodles were exceptional. We enjoyed the other dishes, but please try a noodle dish!
The place is small, but the service is friendly and efficient.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 12, 2024
We came here for dinner and loved the hole in the wall feel. It is very authtentic and we came in search of soup dumplings. And they were found. We were seated immediately, but the place was busy, with good energy. The menu had a ton of items, but we focused on out usuals for this kind of restaurant. Ordering was easy and the wifi was strong, with password on display. English was not an issue here.
We got the spicy tripe and it was not in a numbing sauce, which was great. The sauce was amazing! Next was the wontons, which were good, not great. The hot and sour soup was good, and we got the bowl, which was more than enough for the 4 of us. All the reviews said to try the beef roll so we did and did not think it was all that. The Tan Tan noodle sauce wa snot great, but the noodles were nice and thick (just the way I like them!) and were clearly hand pulled and fresh. Finally, the soup dumplings were great with tons of soup inside. They charge for to-go containers so beware, but otherwise, this was a solid choice!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jul 12, 2024
Visited the area and wanted something different. Found happy noodle house via Yelp of course.
Ordered:
- Chicken noodle soup. Soup was good. Came with a healthy portion of noodles. Was a relatively simple dish. Kids liked it.
- Lamb stew noodle. Similar to chicken noodle soup base. But it was filled with what seemed like bread cubes. Threw us off. Not a lot of lamb.
- Spicy beef tripe. Our favorite dish w tripe sliced in a different way. Also had numbing Sichuan peppers. An amazing cold appetizer.
- Lamb cumin chow mein. This was good. Definitely tasted spices and cumin. Good portion of lamb.
Dining area was a bit smaller and older. We had take out. Overall ok place 3.5Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 10, 2024
It was so fun to experience a local Chinese restaurant while visiting Vancouver! Their hand-pulled noodles are delicious and amazingly long, the Xiao long bao were also so tasty! We had great service, our water cups were always full and the dining room was small enough that they could always see if anyone needed anything. Despite being a smaller place, it wasn't too loud and filled up without having a crazy wait!
Overall, I really liked this place, but be forewarned that the spicy level is quite high on the tan-tan noodles. If I had known, I might have tried another noodle dish. Thanks!Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 1 - Apr 2, 2024
Super small spot but very choice. I hit it up for dinner and could barely get in. Had to sit at the little bar table by the door. People were packing it out trying to get in to stand and wait.
I ordered dim sum and pork buns oh and Kung pao chicken. The woman taking my order told me it was too much which I agreed and told her I was taking some home haha everything was super tasty. Chicken came out first so I could munch on that while I waited for my dim sum. The meat in the pork buns was a little small but super tasty. The dim sum was hot as hell and super fresh.
Like I said the place is small and there's only street parking that I could see. So get in while you can because people will be packing in at the door to get a taste.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Debbie M.Phoenix, AZ331111Aug 13, 2024

Popped in less than an hour to close and were greeted and sat immediately.
We ordered all the things and food started coming out immediately. Delicious.
We only regret not having a microwave in our hotel room so we could take it to go.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 15, 2023
Happy Noodle House is a no-frills and simple noodle shop that serves up a mean bowl of noodles. In this weather, there is nothing better than a warm bowl of soup with noodles so soft, chewy, and tender all at the same time. You have to appreciate the perfect execution of combining flour, water, and salt to create the perfect noodle. The owners are extremely friendly and I will definitely be back for more to try their other specialty items!
Lots of people were ordering the chow mein and these come in HUGE portions. So come hungry!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
