If you're a Harry Potter fan, this store is a must visit for merch and nostalgic feelings. The store is designed to include some of the series' most memorable attractions and moments. After you've browsed and purchased a ton of souvenirs make sure to check our their cafe that serves HP themed snacks and of course, butter beer. I did not get butter beer on tap from the cafe, however I purchased a bottle of the take home butter beer, and it is not the same as the butter beer you would get from Universal Studios so temper expectations if you do purchase a bottle to take home! If you're a Harry Potter fan and looking to experience some magic in NYC, check out the Harry Potter store!

If you are a Harry Potter fan you will enjoy this. I won't cap myself a BIG fan but I like the movies, admittedly I have not read any of the books.

      So...here's my review, with tips...

The show is lllloooonnngggg so buckle in and be ready. Do not go if you're tired, if you go to bed early on your daily take in the early show not the 7pm.

The actors did a great job, but remember this show is more about Harry's son, not Harry...he's there but this is his son's story. Again the acting is great but in this show I have to applaud the behind the scenes lighting and effects show. Do you like Magic? Yes you say? Well you've got it. AMAZING!!

The hunt in the show is okay..there were some laugh out loud moments but not as many to me compared to the remainder of the audience.

If you're tall buy an end seat, the seats like most old theater is tight. Your knees will thank you. The good is talk to the staff and they will move your seat to a more comfortable location if the show isn't sold out. If you're bringing kids some may get scared at times, but they will likely think it is fun. Remember to get the short ones a booster, they are free, comfortable and you can find them right outside the exit signs mid-theater
      On the orchestra level.

Tax a taxi if you can, if you're not walking distance of course. If not there is parking in Time Square just remember it's Time Square so you will need to be patient with traffic and people.

Overall, very good show, very long show, over three hours. Would I go again...hmm...no. Seen it once so I'm good. I do recommend the show.

Okay, confession time: I'm not the biggest Harry Potter fan. Seriously, I don't even know why I'm reviewing this, but boy, was this place cool to visit.

As a proud Slytherin (team green all the way!), I ventured into this magical emporium for the first time over break with some friends. They're hardcore Potterheads, so naturally, they were losing their minds while I was just there for the ride.

We spent quite a while exploring the store, and I have to admit, it was pretty awesome. Wandering through the aisles of wands, robes, and all things Hogwarts made me think, "Hey! I'm team green, and I belong!"

Oh, and did I mention they sold Butterbeer (both in-store and in the cafe right next to the exit)? It was like a fizzy dream come true. So, if you're a Harry Potter fan or just someone who enjoys magical beverages, this place is a must-visit. Even if you're not casting spells in your spare time, it's worth it for the Butterbeer alone. Cheers to team Slytherin and the magical world of impulse buys!

This was so great! This store is HUGE and they have a ton of variety

They also have a small cafe that sells Harry Potter themed desserts and butterbeer which you know you gotta get. Or at least a butterbeer ice cream!
I will say this is nowhere near as good as the butterbeer in universal but it's still worth trying. It comes with a frothy marshmallow topping and was very sweet but I'm glad we tried it. the ice cream is surprisingly tasty though! And the pastries looked sooo cute!

They have statues of hagrid, buckbeak and more and multiple floors so check them all out. They have a ton of unique merch and actually have sales. We ended up getting a Hedwig Christmas tree skirt!

Definitely a must stop for any Harry Potter fan in NYC

      Updated review

Opened in April 2021, this establishment is located on Broadway next to the Flatiron Building and is certainly not an amusement park attraction. This is definitely a store entirely dedicated to the sale of Harry Potter-related merchandise. After several years, my partner finally got to see the interiors yesterday. Gone are the days upon arrival to register for the virtual queue, except during the holidays. Harry Potter New York is comprised of two floors stuffed to the gills with clothes, wands, books, and memorabilia. They brought to life things from the book that weren't in the movies. If you're a Harry Potter fan, this store is a must-visit. Even if you're not looking to spend any money, you can have plenty of fun here!

This place is REALLY cool! Lots of fun things to check out. It's a store and almost like a museum as well lol! When you visit, you have to get the Butter Beer! They have the option to upgrade to a souvenir cup, which we did, and when you're done, they have a really cool cleaning station so you can clean and dry the cup and store it in your bag for safe keeping. Highly recommend visiting this place for the Harry Potter fan!

If you are a Harry Potter fan, I'd say this is a MUST VISIT while you're in Manhattan ! I'd recommend coming on a weekday vs weekend. Apparently sometimes they get so busy, you need to join a queue to enter.

On my recent visit to NY, we had came on a Wednesday afternoon and pretty much walked straight in.

The store is very well stocked, probably better than any Universal Studio store I've been in. Lots of Hogwart house merch, wands, books, cards, passport holders, notebooks, stickers, washi tape, clothing, candy, BOTTLED BUTTERBEER for you fanatics, etc

Very well decorated and 2 leveled (theres a basement aspect of the store too that has books, jewelry, etc)

Even if you AREN'T a huge fan of Harry Potter, still nice to see.

This flagship store leaves nothing to be desired. It was a great time for my kids as they had stuff that you cannot buy elsewhere. They are both into the books and the highlight was the large Hippogriff that is perched above the center. The store itself is two stories and also includes a cafe that serves butterbeer, although we did not eat or drink there.

We spent about an hour there, and went back a second time during our trip to NYC. The kids ended up landing on a few items after much debate. The line to checkout was not long and all of the staff were friendly. There is something for everyone who is a Harry Potter fan and was one of the highlights of our trip.

This is such a fun store! We've been here on both of our recent trips to the city and it's a must-do for any Harry Potter fan. There's 2 levels here and lots and lots of merch to buy including clothing, wands, and lots of tchotchkes. The real highlight though is the butterbeer and the butterbeer soft serve and that ice cream is seriously some of my favorite in the world! Definitely stop in if you're in the Flatiron district and love HP!

If you're a Harry Potter fan, this retailer is a must visit. I tagged along with my oldest daughter because she wanted to get some gifts for herself and I needed the walking exercise. Prices were at the extortion level, but my oldest daughter didn't mind. She brought a couple of gifts for herself and was extremely happy.
