We driving there from VA, is there parking near by?

Depending on the day you go you could get lucky, but it's street parking so you may have to drive around a bit until you get a spot.

This was my Must Do, being that I'm still waiting for my acceptance letter to Hogwarts. :-) lots of things to see and great props for that HP fan to take pictures. I loved seeing the books dangling from the ceiling. I took pictures wearing Hagrid's shoes. The slytherin snake coming out of the ceiling was a great touch to the Slytherin section of the store. It is creatively divided into sections depending on which Hogwarts house you want your souvenirs from. They have a small section where you can purchase your butterbeer. I've had it at Universal. This had a much better flavor!

Our kids were introduced to the Harry Potter Movies and now they're obsessed. We stumbled across the shop during a side trip to see the Flat Iron building and we couldn't skip going in. Just walking around the store is entrancing. They have props from the movie(s) on display, a lot of life like displays, and just about anything you'd want to buy to fulfill your dreams of being a character; brooms, wands, robes, hats, books, etc.

Downstairs is a green screen photo opportunity. It's free to do, but it's kind of hard to walk away after you see the proofs. We caved LOL.

Five stars for displays, staff and products for sale. Very cool experience for the fans.

Wow!!! We definitely went on a perfect day. It wasn't as busy as I thought it would be so we were able to enjoy the store. Employees were helpful and the store was very organized.

I love that they serve butterbeer & cute decorated Harry Potter themed desserts. I just wish they sold frozen butterbeer like the ones served at Universal Studios. If you're into Harry Potter, you'll definitely love this store!

Okay, confession time: I'm not the biggest Harry Potter fan. Seriously, I don't even know why I'm reviewing this, but boy, was this place cool to visit.

As a proud Slytherin (team green all the way!), I ventured into this magical emporium for the first time over break with some friends. They're hardcore Potterheads, so naturally, they were losing their minds while I was just there for the ride.

We spent quite a while exploring the store, and I have to admit, it was pretty awesome. Wandering through the aisles of wands, robes, and all things Hogwarts made me think, "Hey! I'm team green, and I belong!"

Oh, and did I mention they sold Butterbeer (both in-store and in the cafe right next to the exit)? It was like a fizzy dream come true. So, if you're a Harry Potter fan or just someone who enjoys magical beverages, this place is a must-visit. Even if you're not casting spells in your spare time, it's worth it for the Butterbeer alone. Cheers to team Slytherin and the magical world of impulse buys!

Flagship NY Harry Potter store with heavy franchise merchandise. Two levels and cafe. I visited this location usually for the specialty butter beer drinks. Today was the free sample of butter beer ice cream.
The butter beer ice cream was decent but had a heavy dairy taste. I prefer the frosted butter beer drink. The rest of the store has great hp retail from Candy to wands. Pricey but authentic items. If you're a fan of the Wizard world of hp this place opens nostalgia.

We didn't know this store was in the general area where we were staying in NYC; I would have thought it would be closer to Times Square. Popped in and soaked in the varied merchandise although we didn't buy anything. We did cave in and get a butterbeer drink and ice cream (both overpriced, but what the heck). The drink comes in a "commemorative" glass that we did not keep. I suppose they can charge you more instead of just giving you butterbeer in a regular glass or cop. Definitely a destination for Harry Potter fans and we're glad we stopped in, more just to see it than to buy anything. I actually think I misplaced my digital camera in the store but when I went back the next day, management did not have it. Oh well.

This is indeed a Harry Potter merchandise store. But, I enjoyed exploring this store since the vibe was iconic of HP. Some cool things to do in the store include:

      - Taking pictures of yourself in comparison to Hagrid's shoes and height
      - Looking up to the basilisk embedded into the ceiling or looking afar at the intimidating spider, Aragog
      - Marveling at different wands on the shelves belonging to different HP characters
      - Examining items of significance from the HP books on display
      - Contemplating whether to purchase a pretty impressive HP briefcase. Lol.
      - Looking at wanted posters of HP and other notable characters
      - Taking pictures inside a London telephone booth
      - Admiring the everything flavor jelly beans and chocolate covered frogs on display shelves
      - Appreciating the hippogrith statue and winding spiral staircase, and, of course,
      - Drinking their iconic Butterbeer drink (tastes like butterscotch and apple cider - delicious and tasted like Fall). Of note, it was pricey at $13.50 for a small drink, but you do get to keep the souvenir cup. Plus, there's a cup cleaning station designed to clean Butterbeer cups with jets of water after you've finished your drink. Nice.

Overall, I definitely enjoyed visiting this store as a lover of the HP franchise.

Pros: really well done. When I walked in, I thought it looked just as good as Harry Potter world at Universal Studios. I don't know what my friend thought but she seemed to like it.

      Cons: price. Crowds.

Potterhead, you must visit here if you're in New York! Too many Harry Potter merchandise to choose from! The store is very cute! There are 3 floors to explore with wands, clothing, books, toys, etc. They can personalize the robe/shirt at the lower floor. There's a candy section at the top floor.

There is a little cafe after the cashier with butterbeer & other cakes. The butterbeer with collectible mugs is $12.50 (pretty expensive) but I got one since my kid never had butterbeer before. There's a washing station near the door so you can rinse the mug.

If you love Harry Potter and you're staying near Manhattan area, you really need to visit this place. Prepare to spend some serious dough. Only thing that I didn't like was that they overcharge you for a tiny amount of butter beer. It's still good but you're definitely getting ripped off. All other Potter related merch are within reasonable range. Found everything my kids love Potter related and wished they were able to walk it with me since it was a solo biz trip.
