BEST of the BEST playgrounds in bay area!

The location is ideal, surrounded by best food spots and gorgeous view from the park.

I love coming here with my daughter, as this playground is the biggest in the city and has so many fun and FREE attractions. Slides there have enormous size and even adult will have fun sliding down. They have different sizes of slides for all ages.

They have so many more things. Wonderful sand box, all types of swings and even climbing walls. They have huge xylophon and your kids can learn play it right there!

I always bring some snacks and sandwiches and while my kid is enjoying the playground, you can enjoy wonderful view from Dolores Park and lay on grass!

Not to mention they have bi-rite ice-cream right next to the park and nice day at the park could end with the best ice cream in the city!

great playground for kids inside the park. Clean bathrooms and great environment. 1 star for the parking and people hounding me to buy pre rolled blunts though. Still give it a 5 star since they do have a little class and only harass you when you leave the kids playground

Rarely does an adult use the word "epic" to describe a playground, and I'm not even sure if that's the thing a parent most hopes to find in a playground, but it's the word that comes to mind.

It is in the middle of Dolores Park, a simple but breathtaking park in one of my favorite neighborhoods in one of my favorite cities, and it takes a cue from the local topography. There are giant hills for toddlers to try to clamber or climb, as well as stairs and a couple of gigantic slides. There is a deep sand pit, there are shallower slides, steps, ridges, and a lot of different ways to move around here.

Even thinking about this playground four days later I am struck by its beauty, supplemented by the steep background of the city. If I had any complaint, it might be that the playground has too many wonderful things in one place. Good luck keeping your small child from going down those immense slides, which will lure him up the many many stairs like an attractive nuisance. Dolores Park is also full of romping dogs, another distraction in my son's case, but it was fortunate to have something distracting him from the tallest slide.

Favorite Playground in my Favorite Park in my Favorite City. Hands Down.

The best part about Dolores Park is Helen Diller Playground offering awesome slides, unique play structures for all ages, and spectacular views of the gorgeous City skyline.

Great place to enjoy your Bi Rite Creamery deliciousness.

It's just as fun here at night as it is during the day, with or without the kiddies in tow.

Took the family here for the first time. And we love the atmosphere. Our kids enjoyed the playground. The dogs that showed up were a bonus as we love dogs anyway. We also had a picnic at the park; perfect park if you need to relax yet enjoy the city life.

One of my favorite places in San Francisco; great view on SF downtown, beautiful surrounding of the park and typical SF houses and the playground is very good and has a cool vibe

This was such a FUN playground! Yes I'm 30+. Yes I will go on slides.

Especially when the slide is a tall wavy one!

Even though the slide took off skin from my ankle as I ZOOMED down it, it was still fun nonetheless!

Apologies to the kids that we kinda, maybe, sorta cut in front of.

There's also another giant slide, rock climbing, net climbing, swings, ropes, and all are on the rubber material ground.

Bring a picnic, sunblock, and bring out your inner child here! :) Also, walking distance to Bi-Rite Creamery is a PLUS.

This was fun especially for my 20 year old and my 6 year old!!! The slides were the best part they said!! And my 20 year old said he loved getting piggy back rides from my 6 year old!! ( strong) anyway I recommend this park 10/10!!!! Especially fun when the weather in San Fran is quite dandy!!! And very fun if after you go, there's ice cream involved!!! Only vegan kind because, you know 6 year olds, always gotta have the gourmet. My kids will always jump up and down saying "WEEE!!!" When there's vegan ice cream involved. GO TO THIS PARK. IT LIT FOR THE WHOLE FAM.

This is one of the newest playgrounds in the city.
The old playground was good, but the equipment was definitely questionable and needed a make-over.
Ever since they made the investment with the improvements, this place has been a hot spot (tons of kids now flocking to this playground).

Centrally located in Dolores Park has it's benefits and disadvantages.
The benefits are obviously the view and the weather.
The disadvantages range from the above average drug use causing an overwhelming aroma, an increase in the homeless population and sometimes questionable characters exhibiting behaviors which might be inappropriate for children.

Some of the things this playground has which makes it unique/distinct are a rock-climbing wall, very large swings and a wide variety of slide.
