      I am a very satisfied kia Sportage Hybrid 2024 buyer at Hilltop Kia/Ford in Richmond, CA. I had a truly excellent experience with the sales manager Mohammed "Moe" Safeel. I highly recommend seeing him if you are in the market for a new or used car. There is no hard sell at Hilltop, Moe is extremely considerate, respectful and a delight to deal with. Hilltop also had the best price with no dealer mark-up. Of course, I will be sure to recommend Hilltop and Moe to all my friends and I rarely write reviews but I really wanted the public to know what a good experience I had. Sincerely, Jeremy Meltzer

      Although we did not end up buying a car from Hilltop Kia, I wanted to leave a review because my experience with them was so positive. As the primary driver, I was the one doing the initial test-driving and car shopping - but I am a woman. I went to a bunch of different dealerships to try different cars, and at every other place I was treated both with indifference and outright rudeness. My husband accompanied me one time, and the salesman would only speak to him.

      I am happy to say that was not AT ALL the case with Hilltop Kia. Both Phil and his team took me seriously and treated me with respect. They asked when it would be appropriate to follow up and then actually followed through. When I asked to see some numbers, the accountant guy gave me a quick rundown. Phil treated me as if I was the actual car buyer (which I am) and not just as an obstacle to getting to my husband. I would 100% have bought a car from him if I hadn't found a fantastic deal on a used car that I couldn't pass up.

      Getting my dad's car serviced. Today the waiting room only had water and peanuts but there are plenty of outlets, usb chargers and seating. You can sit at high top counters if you want to get some work done and a view outside. Or sit in comfy chairs to watch TV. Luckily TV was at a low volume and the mellow music mostly drowned it out. Pretty relaxing waiting room.

      Service here has always been friendly and affordable.

      I was really disappointed for a second time with the service department from Hilltop Kia and Ford. I was working with Tony and James and the communication and responsiveness was embarrassing. After the initial text that my car arrived I got zero communication from them about my car. Then they charged me for things we did not agree to. Here are the details:

      When I called on Monday I was told that my car could not be looked at until Tuesday.

      My car was dropped off by a Tow truck on Monday afternoon and I was told I would be communicated to when it arrived. I did get a text that day.

      The next time I called on Wednesday afternoon to check on the car I was told it was not looked at yet. I asked that they text or call me once they know if the issue is covered by the warranty or not. I asked if they could also do a 70,000 service, fix a recall, and fix the issue why the car was towed there. They quoted me around ~$270 for the service. I asked for no tire alignment or rotation and it dropped to ~$225 or something near there.

      I got no text on Wednesday
      I called again on Thursday and asked for status and a text. I got no text on Thursday
      I called again on Friday and was told the car is still being looked at and they don't know what's up with it. I asked for a text once they know. I got no text. I called back 3 hours later to learn the car was fixed and ready for pick up.
      They sent a Lyft to pick me up - that was nice.
      When I got there I was told they wished I had not picked it up because they wanted to observe the car and see if the battery was working. Wtf? Why tell me I can pick it up when you think it might need more service. Tell me that on the phone.

      Then I got the bill for $434. The bill says I approved a charge of an additional $165 an hour before I arrived. I never approved any charges outside of the 70k service. They did align my tires which I asked to be deducted and never checked in about cost or the warranty. After complaining they gave me a $70 discount, but in the end I paid $140 more than I expected. I felt scammed and without other options. I will avoid going back here as much as possible and recommend you do the same or get super clear on cost and communication.

      Called them today and Moe the manager salesman helped us and went there today around 11:30am we made a deal and moe made it happened and his team. 5 stars Customer service and 5 stars on everything. Definitely will recommend moe and his team. We love our new 2025 Carnival Kia.

      I would prefer to leave a 5 star, but now forced to do a 1 because I can't leave a 0. I have been trying now to get a call back to setup a service appointment for over 3 months. Still waiting for a call back. Online. Phone. Email. Phone app. Nothing. They sold em a car and now when I need service and help, no response at all. From sales to service. I am pretty disappointed and have been steering people away when they asked me about my car and where I got it.
