Street parking can be hard but we were lucky to find one not too far away.

It was busy on a Saturday evening with what seems like a lot of regulars. We were a party of 5 and they sat us at a table for 4 and added a chair on the end. Once we ordered, they moved us to a big table. We ordered way too much for 5 people. Ending up taking a lot home.

Everything was very good. Except the veggie was a little too tough/mature. And the mixed mushroom with egg tofu was not mixed mushroom but only one type of mushroom. The egg tofu was very good with the broccoli.

The bbq pork with chicken appetizer was good too. The bbq pork was so juicy and flavorful.

Portions here are very big and prices are reasonable.

For starters, we came into this restaurant late at night just as they were about to close (8:30). We were quickly served with tea and water, but ordering our food was slow. We had to wave somebody done to take our order which we were displeased by.

The fried rice was solid, no complaints there. The curry was alright... nothing special in my opinion and tasted like curry from a package I can get from a store. The pan fried noodles, a classic favorite between my dad and I, was a bit bland for my taste. I would've liked more flavor in the gravy. Not shown in the pictures, we also got the string beans in some spicy pork sauce. It was good and I enjoyed the level of spice. Again, I would've like a bit more flavor.

      I love the food here!

The century egg and pork congee is always good, and a go-to. The sweet fried doughnut is also really good.

The giant clam (gwai fei pong) is one of my favorite dishes here, although sometimes it runs out. Lobster noodles are also delicious.

The service is also very good, and they pack your food to go for you. They're also very attentive & refill tea very fast.

good food but, the Chinese doughnuts always come out cold and we ask them to heat it up and the manager refuses to. Not very customer oriented! My dad ended up having to buy another one in order for it to be heated. If the food wasnt so good, I would not come back!
also the lady waitress with glasses is and is still rude!

My family ordered take outs to celebrate Chinese New Year, and Hing Lung did not disappoint. Their clay pot rice with lap cheung was delicious with its sweet soy sauce and burned rice at the bottom. The mushroom dish with tofu and bok choy was flavorful as well as the freshly cut chicken. I also recommend trying their sweet and sour pork. It is crispy even with the drizzled sauce.

I called in advance to place my order and with a total of 6 dishes, it took them less than 25 minutes even when they had a full house around 6pm. This is still my favorite cozy Chinese restaurant!

Really enjoyed the food there. The service was quick and the people were so kind.
This is not the most upscale place, but it had a homey diner feel.

I was so happy to have found this place for late night dinner, around 9 pm. Food came out hot.
I highly recommend the chow fun, salted fish fried rice, and any of the clay pots!

Love this place food and service is pretty consistent.

Food: I always go for the porridge/congee in the pot. Stays hot the entire duration of the meal, taste is on point and definitely hits the spot when you're feeling slightly sick during the cold winter season.

Their seafood noodle slightly bland but could be just a miss this time .

Their tofu appetizer & eggplant is good but on the pricier side for what it is.

Wonton noodles are all tasty. I recommend.

Service has always been pretty fast.

Parking is a hit or miss depending on timing but meter spots up front & only 1-2 spaces in the back.

All and all this is a frequent spot as somewhat a regular.

Hing lung is hands down one of the best places for porridge on the peninsula. Even though it is a bit of a drive for me, it's definitely a hit for authentic chinese comfort food. If you find yourself craving preserved egg and pork porridge or beef chow fun, this is your spot. I came on a weekday for lunch at noon and it was really busy. Luckily, it was a short wait since they turn over tables pretty fast. Tea comes to your table almost immediately after you get seated. Food comes out pretty fast as well, the porridge in particular. They have big portions for their prices, very worth the $. We also get takeout from here semi-often and it's usually quick and easy to call to order and pick up the food. Solid 5 stars for the hk comfort food!

Hing Lung never misses when it comes to cantonese dishes! Service is simple and to the point, and it's a large enough space for family meals.

Their congee is always consistent -- smooth and chunky with a generous portion of pork liver and meatballs. Ordering a side of youtiao to dunk into the congee is an absolute must!

I've been obsessed with L8: preserved veggie beef chow fun in gravy lately - it has a strong wok fire taste and the beef is so tender, the heaviness of the noodles pair so well with the pickled veggies. It tastes even better as leftovers the next day too!

I've also ordered R7. Braised Eggplant with Minced Pork in Pot a few times, and its always perfect. It has that savory and slightly tangy flavor, with some smokiness from the wok. It's also cooked with bamboo shoots & wood ear mushroom. I would recommend ordering a side of rice with this dish as it can get salty!

This place had good food and the customer service was fine. One thing to look out for is that they only accept cash.
Credit card may pay for 3% more.
