Henry and his crew were 'on time', polite and professional! The work provided was excellent and built to last! I was very pleased with my new gate and "tear down" and complete rebuild of deck, steps and banister off my garage. Excellent work and craftsmanship! If you want a job well done-call Henry!

I'm very happy with my experience with Henry at HM Fence who I found though Yelp. I had a broken side gate and asked him to come take a look and provide an estimate. After calling five fence companies and comparing the estimates, comparing online reviews, I decided to go with Henry. I asked for Henry's opinion on what needed to be done to fix the gate. What really stood out was Henry's honesty about what actually needed fixing. Unlike other companies that suggested replacing the entire gate (the most expensive option), Henry focused on the necessary repairs. Even after I asked if a full replacement was needed as other suggested. His pricing was fair and competitive, and his communication was excellent throughout the process. I also really appreciate the quality of work and very happy with the craftsmanship.

Henry was responsive and easy to communicate with, taking the time to walk me through the job and estimate. Overall I would recommend Henry and would not hesitate to refer him to my neighbors and friends for fence/gate work!

Henry from HM Fence was really easy to work with. He explained everything that he was going to do, did not rush my appointment, and there was no complicated paperwork.
His team of five came in, taped clear plastic on our floor to keep everything clean, they brought in all the redwood and equipment and got to work. They were professional and polite, they worked really hard, and they built our fence in one day. They also cleaned up really well. I was also really impressed because Henry was very responsive to my texts and phone calls from the start of my project to the end.

Rebuilding a home from the ground up and inside out is a long involved process. It's expensive. It's frustrating and slow. It's difficult to convey our vision to the contractors doing the work. It's difficult to find people that care and do a decent Job. And it's really stressful. Now I'm not just whining in a review. I'm setting the stage for Henry of HM Fence to enter the scene.

We were sitting in our almost finished home when we decided it was time to talk fences. I looked at my wife and said. "We need a fence. Now what ?" lol turns out that fences and fence builders are as varied and different as basically every other aspect of this process.

We used Yelp. Referrals. Google. And asked neighbors. I was leaving voicemails with fencing contractors and they'd call back 3-4 DAYS later. We'd meet people who would look at what we had going on and we'd tell them what we wanted. Some seemed to listen. Then they'd quote some insane number. Others would tell us what we wanted was impossible or they'd refuse to repair an existing fence and insist it needed replacing.

NOT HENRY! Not this guy. Nope. Henry called me back and offered to drop what he was doing and meet me on my time. When he came to my home he was on time and polite. He listened he checked out my project and he kinda ... wiggled my wiggly fences and he looked at me and said that not only what I was asking for was reasonable and practical. But it was a good way to keep costs down and fences up.

I needed two new fences and I needed 3 existing fences shored up with helper posts in concrete. Henry was literally 50% of the next closest bid. I checked yelps and saw examples of Henry's work. Looked fine. So my wife and I asked henry to meet us one more time. To iron out the details. He did so graciously.

Today Henry showed up on time (8 am sharp!) and he had 3 -4 dudes with him. He called me. Asked some clarifying questions and then he just got down and started working. In one day HM Fence built me two custom fences and custom oversized gates with helper wheels. He shored up my wiggly wobbly fences. And !! AND !!! He did so in a super elegant and skillful way. Way WAY more professional than what I was proposing. I suggested just ramming 4x4s in concrete and bolting them to the existing fences. That wasn't how Henry did it. They actually replaced broken posts and seamlessly integrated the new posts into the fences. So since the old saggy waggle fences were already painted. Now all we hafta do is pressure wash the fences and repaint them. Now ? Now we basically have all 5 fences solid as rocks. For a super reasonable price. The work they did is proper and straight and smooth. There are no gaps in the fence. Everything looks killer and I feel like I got WAY MORE than I paid for.


They even swept up their sawdust.

Super classy guys. Super clean work. Super reasonable price. Timely. Clean. Professional and courteous.

Lastly. Henry is a nice young man that treated his crew with courtesy and respect. You can tell he takes pride in what he does and what he builds. Humble hard working people are the backbone of this nation and I'm proud of what Henry and HM Fence did for my home.

Henry and his team did absolutely great work. They specialize in fences and really know the best practices and don't take shortcuts. Henry is always smiling and friendly as is his team. He's easy to work with, responsive to questions, offers you options, and is a collaborative problem solver.

We had his team build a fence on the property line while maintaining the previous fence that our backyard neighbor wanted to keep in place.

We also worked with our next-door neighbor to have his team rebuild a retaining wall and fence between our yards and add a swinging gate so we can go back and forth. The gate was well designed to blend in with the rest of the fence.

He's offered to come back and help with any issues that may arise and I appreciate that. I'm doubtful well need him back as the quality of work in the first place was great.

Our yard looks so much better now!

Our project is to connect two buildings with a cover pergola and with a deck in between, after several quotes, we decided to choose HM Fence, Henry is a very down-to-earth and responsible person, their teams showed up on time and finished on time, and we had a couple of things not satisfied and his team came back to fix them, overall we are happy about the job and recommend his teams!

Henry and the team were great. Communication was great from the initial consult to final product. They finished our fence install in a day, including staining. The end product looked fantastic. They were very flexible when we changed the design slightly day of, and accommodated everything. I would recommend!

Henry and company is fantastic. He made brace supports for my 3 year old fence and made it stronger. No more wabbles. He dug down deep with support beams at several locations and then filled the holes with cement and shaped it like a cone above the soil. Moisture won't attack this fence. He also cemented the other posts he did not install with cement shaped like a cone with each support posts. He freely did the same with another neighbors fence that we had installed a few weeks. Again each supporting post was dug down filled with cement and coned off above the soil. The coning effect will drain water away from the support posts. Thank you Henry, for your service.

Henry and his team were very professional, thorough, and accommodating. My neighbor and I got three quotes to replace the 30yo fence and two gates between our homes and HM Fence definitely seemed to offer the best value.

The company is relatively new, but Henry and his team have years of experience installing fences and such. I wish I had known about HM Fence last year when I had another section of fence repaired.

My neighbor had a trellis of climbing jasmine attached to the fence on her side, and Henry's team took the time and effort to detach the jasmine as best they could before tearing down the old fence, and then re-attaching once the new fence was up. The neighbor was very happy.

On my side, I had an additional small gate I had him quote in order to hide our waste and recycling bins. My wife was thrilled with how that turned out. I highly recommend HM Fence.
