We will never ever ever ever call again.

We used Holland for 7-8 years but we cancelled the last service request and will never use them again. Enough is enough.

Generally, the front office staff are great and the workers do very good and even excellent work but it really depends who you get. For example: a gutter cleaning that still resulted in huge overflow during the following rainstorm, same as before. They sent out a different fellow to have a look. We were home at the time and he admitted that whole section had not actually been cleared. Not good. He cleaned out copious muck. So it was fixed. Same with any glass that wasn't cleaned well, such as the harder to reach skylights--they always fixed it. Or they might send one of the more thorough workers for a job done right the first go-round. We felt lucky in those instances where we wouldn't need to call them back. So we kept on using the company.

Pricing is typically mid-range. We were told higher pricing was required sometimes because of the need for rope safety measures. However, not once did we ever see ropes or attachments being used.

But the last straw: they were a no-show. I called to ask if they were coming. The manager Rob said no, refusing to confirm his own employee's agreement that someone would arrive that week, saying it could be at least a few more days. This would mean more than the 10 business day window with still no date set. Very frustrating, after already clearing the patio, since we have learned over the years we can't rely on the office giving us the heads-up the day before. His manner was very aggressive. This was not the first time being subjected to his rudeness. I cancelled the service. Enough is enough.

Bottom line: work quality is inconsistent; scheduling is sometimes haphazard and slow; and being subjected to aggressive and disrespectful treatment when things go wrong is just plain wrong.

Unfortunately the owner is what makes this company to have an ugly face, he is rude, evades responsibility for damage done to my gutters and siding, if you want your house to get damaged, this is your chance, contact holland home service, after all if you are dutch your are not much.

After a long winter the amount of light flooding in through clean windows is a welcome sight.
Prompt estimate and quick service. The office scheduler, estimator and technician were all very pleasant to deal with. They even put a rush on our job, which we greatly appreciated. GREAT JOB.

Forget the bars and trendy new restaurants, reviewing home maintenance companies is where it's at! I'm probably unknowingly one step away from wearing Crocs and buying sunglasses at the gas station with reviews like this.

Anyway, referred by one of my neighbours to this 50 year old local company that does gutter, window, roofing cleaning and repairs along with some other services. I've had them out to my property a few times for both installations and cleanings, they're easy to work with and the work is always done with quality and care.

I first called them after dangling from my roof mid down poor (again) as new gutters had (again) become clogged and were now pouring over and I feared floods into my basement. I Thought to myself, "you're going to die one day doing this. Die for gutters. Surely there's a better way." Holland capped my gutters with aluminum mesh and I now have a 10 year no clog guarantee and I life free of falls and neck breaking.

I am alive and a fan.

Rude, curt, condescending woman answering the phones at Holland Home Services. This initial point of contact left me with a bad impression of this company. That said, I looked elsewhere for a more reputable, peasant, helpful, courteous, customer-service oriented business to pressure -wash my house. Get a new receptionist and you will likely get more business!

I agree with Yvette...the woman I spoke with on the phone was very unpleasant to deal with. I asked for them to come out for an estimate and that I would appreciate it if they made contact with me on site regarding the quote. She said, "no, we don't do that". They did come by and put a quote in my mailbox. In my opinion, it was very overpriced for removing moss and applying some product afterwards. I have since hired a company that did the job yesterday for half the price and was extremely pleasant to deal with. I probably would have gone ahead and hired Holland if I hadn't been so put off with the receptionist.

I dont like cleaning my own gutters but I can get up on a ladder. I checked the work after completion and it wasnt completely done. They didnt do the highest side of my house (the part thats scary). The company would not return my calls. Thanks a yahoo!

These people are pros who get the job done, at good rates. Our house has some hard-to-access gutters for which ropes and gymnastics are needed. They removed roof moss, cleaned the gutters, repaired some broken gutter sections, and cleaned mildewed siding. You get a detailed invoice that shows exactly what was done.
