Holy Land Auto Repair

Took my car in today thinking I knew what was wrong. Even gave him the part to fix it. Joe called me inside of an hour to let me know it was actually rats that had chewed through the wires! That's what I get for parking on Warren Street for weeks on end.
Only charged me 50 bucks extra even though he had to take the front of the car apart and rewire everything. What a gent.
Now my go to auto guru.

I had a slow leak in my coolant but no traces of leakage. I took my car in. They said it was the coolant reservoir. I was doubtful but he seemed sure.
Charged me 400 (!!!) for a new reservoir.
A few days later it was still leaking at the same rate with no traces.
Took it to another shop. Bad water pump and a cracked head gasket between cylinder 1 & 2.
Repaired, now the car is running perfectly and holding its coolant.
The head gasket was a big bill, but it was necessary.
The reservoir these guys bilked me for was rip off. They lie and overcharge. Never going back.

Fast, affordable work.

We brought in an old Ford, and the brakes were shot. We needed new pads, calipers, the works. The price Joe quoted me was literally $500 cheaper than the dealership, and instead of the three days the dealership said it would take, they had it done in a few hours.

I'm not sure I can ask for much more than that. I guess if you want me to complain about things, I can always do that:

1. The sign out front says "Holly" Land Auto Repair, but I was able to figure out that it was the right place. I'm pretty smart.

2. They left my windows open on a nice fall day, and some leaves got in. I got over it though.

I'll definitely be back.

I have been going there a for a few years and every time I had the car inspected the owner wanted to "fix" something in order for my car to pass the inspection. I have an older car, so I thought maybe it does need the "fixing." I decided not to go there ever again was when I needed brighter headlights. I was quoted one price at the beginning, but the next time I was quoted a price that was extra $60. I questioned the mechanic about the difference of the price quoted by him, and he said everything was getting expensive. In ONE WEEK? For the same bulbs and same service he raised the price $60 extra. That's dishonest and I will never trust them again.

My car broke down while visiting my daughter in Brooklyn. The guys at Holy Land were terrific. They recommended a towing company and then fixed my car in time to leave when I had originally planned. Their prices are fair and the communication good. So glad I found them!

Great service, attentive, trustworthy, great people! One of the most important qualities you look for in a mechanic is being able to trust them. I feel like I'm in good hands every time I bring my car here.

Took my car here due to a weird vibration that the clueless guys at Pep Boys couldn't figure out (but still charged me for). It did take two tries but the owner took it upon himself to figure things out and actually didn't charge me for the first attempt.

A breath of fresh air and a smooth ride once again!

Oh, starter went about a year after they said they replaced it. It was the original starter that came with the car. They charged me for a new starter and labor and they didn't replace anything. Super messed up.

I paid more than $800.oo dollars to repair a misfire on the engine. Very weird but I paid. They said I will have 6 warranty months about it, but 15 days later I still have the same trouble.
I went yesterday and the owner "Joe" said: Oh, I'm sorry: Go to another mechanic because I'm not specialist in this kind of brands, So...

Where are the 6 months Warranty?
What they did with my $800.oo dollars?
