Holy smokes

A quaint hot dog truck located somewhere around the granville and broadway area, usually in-front of the chapters. Ran by a nice gentleman of european decent, slightly leaning to the Caucasus region but nevertheless, he was a charming old man. His cart, blasting hip radio music and the sizzling and fragrance of tube meat and onions made it an enticing sight, as well as the 5$ price tag for the popular smokie.

5$ for a smokie, cant really complain. Have no cash? He takes card! now thats how service should be done! Finished paying, he'll be quick to put your tube meat on the grill and sizzle up some onions which i might he offered me for free. FREE CARAMELIZED ONIONS FOLKS. While im not sure if its always free, or he was just trying to get the stuff off the pan to close up, thats a very nice gesture and service. The bun was just your everyday bun bought from the supermarket, and the tube meat...well, it was a piping hot meat in a bun. Very juicy, hot, and THICK! not sure what brand he used but it was well worth the 5$ even if it was your everyday, run of the mill ingredients and condiments.

Its hard to run a food business in Vancouver, and I do applaud this man and his food cart for trying to make it work. He deserves all the business he can take, because at 5$ for a smokie is a pretty good deal, compared that some other places in downtown or UBC, you're paying an arm and a leg for something as simple as a skinny tube meat in a bun, not a big thick smokie :p

Holy smoke at the corner of Granville and West Broadway had a very tasty and one of the best dogs ever..jus sayin.... made and prepared by Gregory it was a work of love as I told him to make me a dog the way he would make for himself!!!!!ha..ha!!!!!!!!!Food prices are good and had all the fixings I would ever need, but sticking true to form I didn`t add much to his creation for himself. Have to admit it was a very tasty dog with lots of onions and lots of fun and conversation.
