This is a very solid Chinese spot in the heart of San Leandro's downtown. Their menu variety is great. Nice restaurant clean and good seating with friendly service for both non-Chinese and Chinese speakers.

I've tried many of their clay pot dishes and the flavor is always good and never too salty. Recently had the lobster noodle and the lobster was meaty and noodles were great.

I really haven't had a bad dish here. It is a little on the pricier side but you can taste the quality, service, and atmosphere.

The food was amazing! everything was seasoned to perfection, the spicy green beans and fried rice were especially delicious. The food came out really quick and the service is efficient. I really loved the ambiance here, the interior design was sophisticated and added a lot to the atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back for more!!

Authentic Cantonese cuisine with reasonable portion sizes, variety of dishes and affordable prices in the heart of San Leandro. My husband and I had dinner here on a Sunday evening and the place was half empty when we got there but an hour later when we finished, it was fully packed.

Parking: huge parking lot shared among multiple businesses. There are plenty of spots so you shouldn't have to worry about parking.

Ambiance: modern and clean. It's a medium size restaurant with a good amount of large tables and medium size tables. The space is open and tables were spread apart. It's a prime spot for family dinners and celebrations.

Service: excellent for a cantonese restaurant. Ordering to food arrival time was quick and the wait staff was very attentive despite a full house and only 2 wait staff working. I'm impressed. Both waitresses were very friendly and kept a smile on their face at all times.

Food: 4/5 overall. We ordered the salt &pepper soft shelled crab, beef cubes & scallops with teriyaki sauce, fish cake with yam leaves in broth, dried scallops mushroom E-fu noodle, and house special clay pot. Our favorite was the beef cubes dish, the sauce was perfect and each beef cube was perfectly cooked, medium rare with a crust on the outside. The yam leaves were fresh and portion size was good. We checked in on Yelp, so our appetizer (soft shelled crab) was $10 off its original price which we agreed was an amazing deal. The only disappointment was the mushroom E-fu noodle, it was a bit saucy and I couldn't find any dried scallops. We will likely not order that again.

I think we found another go-to spot to satisfy our Cantonese food cravings. We will be back soon to try other stuff on their menu.

Unfortunately, dining in was a different experience. Service was not great. We (party of 4 walked in and the person we talked to just wave at a generic area gesturing for us to go. We went and sat down on one of the table for 4 with cushioned chairs. Then someone else came and told us not to sit there. She then changed us to a table with plastic chairs. Like, it's fine but if you wanted people to sit at a specific spot, maybe tell them.

Ordering was fine, but after 3 dishes were brought out, we waited a long time for the last dish. I'm talking about a 20-30 minute wait after the first 3 dishes came out. When we asked our waiter about it, he just responded with "I know".

Food was fine. It's better to just order take out though.

Tonight, we tried the appetizer platter: Fried calamari, fried fish filet, fried green beans, and fried shrimp in salt & pepper. The calamari and fish were tender. The fried shrimp was good also. Though, a tad salty on some pieces. Otherwise, this was very good.

The service was good as always. Especially from Ellie, who took care of us even though we arrived 40 minutes before closing.

I went this restaurant with a large group of friends after San Leandro's first ever LGBTQ Pride event. We were looking for a place that could accommodate large groups, and this place was perfect for that. We felt very comfortable at the large round table in this family style restaurant. Our waitress was fantastic. My group was being difficult and wanted to do separate checks and she totally accommodated this. She took the time to explain the menu and food came out quickly. My husband and I shared the salt and pepper, pork chops, the sautéed green beans, and the XO Seafood Noodles. Was it the best Cantonese food I've ever had? No, but it was damn good! Every dish was tasty and met the high standards of my husband and the other Asian friends we were with. Everything was tasty. I will say the prices are a little high, but for the level of service we got it was worth it.

I've passed this place so many times and finally got the chance to try it out!

First off the service was amazing and the food came out so quickly. The food comes out family style. The portions are great for large parties.

I had ordered the Beef Cubes & Scallops in Teriyaki Sauce, Honey Walnut Prawns & House Special Fried Rice. I feel like all the dishes needed more flavor but I really liked the variety of dishes.

The total of the three dishes came out around $70 before tip. After, I noticed that they upcharged me for the beef dish compared to the prices on the menu.

My family and I were in the area craving some Chinese food and Hong Kong Chef was conveniently nearby and we decided to try it. We went right at opening, so we were seated right away.

My family opted to share a few items:
      1) Salt and Pepper chicken wings - while these were nicely fried, it lacked flavor in my opinion. I was expecting more salt and pepper flavor, but it fell a little flat.
      2) Chicken and mushroom E-Fu noodles with truffle oil - there was a generous amount of mushrooms and noodles in this dish, which I really appreciate.
      3) Egg and Shrimp Fried Rice - the flavor of this fried rice was pleasant and the egg was silky. However, for me, the sauce to rice ratio was off. There was way too much rice and not enough of anything else.

Overall, my family enjoyed the casual atmosphere and the fast service. Perhaps, I'll try some other items next time I return to satisfy a craving!
