The Hotel Nikko is our FAVORITE staycation destination as San Franciscan natives. It is one of the few hotels in SF with a heated indoor pool! The pool is beautiful with the natural light coming in from the rooftop, super clean, shallow (2ft-4ft, perfect for littles & short mamas like me), and has tables and chairs to for meals and snacks. Room service poolside is the best too! Eli loves the Mac and cheese and chicken tenders with fries. Chris and I love the fried Brussel sprouts and Korean fried broccoli. The hot tub with jets is great for relaxing in as well.

The rooms are beautiful and clean! I think they might have been recently renovated because everything looks very modern. It's reassuring that the rooms look just like the photos online.

The gym is fully stocked with everything you need - cardio machines, weights, trx bands, medicine balls, kettle bells, bosu balls. It's one of the biggest gyms I've seen at a hotel. Super clean, organized, and fully stocked with fresh towels and refrigerated ones too!

Beyond the pool, room, and all of the amenities the reason why we come back every year for Eli's birthday is because of the service. The Nikko staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. One person in particular that made our stay over the top was Seda (Director of Front Office Services). Seda is the epitome of kindness and hospitality - exactly who you want to lead your front desk staff because that's the first interaction you have at the hotel. She made us feel so special, went out of her way to accommodate us, and took the time to get to know our family and reason for coming. We've celebrated Eli's birthday 2 years in a row at the Nikko hotel and plan to make it a family tradition for years to come.

Thank you Nikko Hotel (especially Seda!) for making Eli's birthday celebrations so special. Will see you again soon!

This is the most gorgeous, clean and friendly hotel I have ever been too! The prices are also decent for such a quality hotel! I also love the location of Hotel Nikko, it wasn't even a 5 minute walk to Union Square. Its pet friendly and has an indoor pool! You can't ask for a better place to stay

Because of the friendly staff the hotel deserves an extra star. Upon check in at the front desk you are greeted and the guest service person makes you feel welcome. The rooms are clean but the one we had that was an upgrade was very small. You walk in and the bed is almost literally..right there with no room to move. The bathroom is spacious with a tub and a shower and probably could have been built smaller in favor of a larger room space.

The hotel boosts a nice work out room with weights, yoga space, rowing machines, bikes, ellipticals, treadmills and the list goes on. The work out room also has chilled water filled with lemons and cucumber.

There is also an indoor pool and hot tub. This area is quite popular at all hours of the day. If you do not mind oodles of kids then this is the place to hang out.

So..the most interesting part of the hotel experience is the box that looks like a clock. Always check to see if alarm is set! This innocuous machine was previously set at 4am..and when you are half asleep you push all the random buttons. One of which is the 911 which we hit while trying to turn it off at 4 in the morning. And quickly following is a knock from security. Exhausting and not fun experience.

Valet parking is expensive at almost $75/day. There's no self parking but at least you know your car is safe. The valet drivers are not the friendliest unless you tip them.

The concierge guy is nice and friendly.

San Francisco has changed and not the safest or nicest. I feel Niko is a nice oasis from the elements of the city.

      Alarm clock or phone???

The hotel staff was amazing and helped us out with 6am luggage check-in, a bathroom key card to freshen up, extra towels, etc. The concierge at the front desk even let us check in a couple hours earlier free of charge. I didn't realize I booked the imperial club which came with free breakfast + snacks and drinks all day. I loved how attentive they were to detail with their turn down service, high quality amenities, and gift shop downstairs. I paid $508 for the 2 nights my friend and I stayed, totally worth the money!

This was an awesome hotel. The service really made it stand out more than anything! There are great people working here! Also, it was very clean and welcoming. Free welcome waters.
The room service for breakfast was very timely and fresh. The egg white frittata with fruit was awesome! The bed was comfortable, shower very nice and clean as well. Also loved that our toilet had heat warmer and bidet options.
Only con of the room is that our wifi and phones would not connect to the chromecast as the TV is not a smart TV.
I would definitely stay here again & will recommend it.

The area around it is also very walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, parks, etc.
      - Very close to union square (~5 min walk)
      - Safe and quiet area
      - Awesome city views from the higher floors (we were on 15)

      6 check-ins

Hotel Nikko has easily become my favorite hotel in the city. Their guest experience is unparalleled. They take the business of hospitality very seriously. The staff was so professional, polite, and had great attitudes. The rooms are beautifully decorated and pristine. The provided bathrobes and slippers were a very nice touch that we don't find in SF hotels that frequently anymore. They have a beautiful indoor pool with a glass roof so you get all the sun without the windchill SF is known for. The pool temperature is perfect, as is the jacuzzi. The men and women's locker room have extra amenities, such as a sauna and steam room. The steam room could use some improvement, it wasn't as warm as I'm used to, but it wasn't a problem since it was more of a nice-to-have than a must-have for me.

We were given drink vouchers for the hotel bars. We visited Kanpai which was a very chic space. The bartender was very warm and friendly and told us we could choose any of the drinks on the menu. Usually, drink vouchers in hotels will afford you the cheapest available options. Not Hotel Nikko. They really go out of their way to treat their guests very well.

The morning we checked out, we overslept 45 minutes past checkout time. When we called the front desk, they told us not to worry and they'd give us an extra hour at no charge to check out so we wouldn't feel rushed.

Love love love Hotel Nikko. I've never stayed at another hotel in SF that went through such great lengths to make me feel like a valued guest. I can't wait to come back for another weekend getaway!

The perfect indoor pool. Would have taken a wider angle, but wanted to respect the privacy of other guests.

      Quick Summary:
      - Comfortable bed
      - Despite it located near Tenderloin, it was safe
      - Dog friendly it appears (didn't utilize its amenities)
      - Quiet interior
      - Close to Powell Street

I stayed here two nights and three days with my family. We chose the room with two beds. The lobby is on the second floor, and as I was walking toward the building I noticed these cute looking garden dog figures. It took a second to realize that this hotel welcomes dogs.

The room is a comfortable and clean; didn't have the faintest hint that the room hosted dogs. There were multiple, dozens of outlets where we can charge our phones. There were two cabinets; one held the fridge and the other had a tray of tea and coffee. We used the coffee machine to have our morning coffee.

The room is very peaceful and quiet. We were able to have restful sleep in the two nights we were there. The bed was also very comfortable. It was semi-plush but also firm that we weren't sinking into the mattress. Since it wasn't plush, I wasn't overheated either and didn't need set the AC to a strong number.

In the morning and afternoon, it was a nice walk around the blocks and it didn't feel weird or unsafe. Around nighttime, as long as I was being careful with my surroundings and heading back to the hotel before midnight, it didn't feel that bad. I liked how the front door is locked after 6pm, and it is mandatory to have the card key to enter.

We booked directly through the hotel which saved us the $39 resort fee. It also guaranteed the best rate and included two breakfast buffets. The buffet was very nice! Literally two blocks from Union Square.

      Also super dog friendly!

      Can't wait to visit again!

The Motiwn Review and Brunch at Hotel Nikko in SF with the family is fantastic! You won't be let down by the amazing show. The mimosas are spot on! They also offer a full bar service if you're interested. The brunch included scrambled eggs, roasted baby red potatoes, crispy bacon, chicken apple sausage, Belgian waffles, assorted pastries, yogurt with fresh fruit, and granola. It's not extravagant, but definitely not ordinary. Valet parking is $45.

We came to SF for a birthday party celebration and booked through booking.com and had a wonderful stay overall. They were very helpful with check in and were able to help us with a booking confusion that was fixed within a few minutes. Valet was $65 and they had the sign clearly posted for pricing upon entering the hotel. Upon entering our room it was noticeably clean and even the window sill was properly dusted as well. There were outlets by both sides of the bed which was nice since we didn't have to scramble around the room trying to find places to charge our phones. The bed was nicely made with fresh linens and was fairly comfortable as well. We also noticed on the tray that they had a set breakfast menu that had a few options such as the breakfast plate (most customizable option), cereal, hot coffee, drinks, etc. I would highly recommend the breakfast since the menu itself is to be hung on the door by 1am and they give you time options for breakfast to be served so it was well worth it waking up to hot breakfast served directly to your room. The breakfast itself was wonderfully tasty and well seasoned as well. The eggs were cooked perfectly to our preference and the toast basket was loaded to the brim for two people. If you also wanted different food options, there are plenty restaurants/food spots walking distance away from the hotel as well. Only thing I thought was weird was the housekeeping was trying to come in and clean at 9am even when we had our do not disturb button on. We only opened the door since we thought it was breakfast at our door already but they were really nice and apologetic about disturbing us so we didn't mind too much since we were already up.

Overall, if you're looking for a great hotel for your stay in SF, I would highly recommend hotel nikko for your stay as I would be happy to come back anytime I'm spending the weekend in SF.
