If I'm sitting outside, can I bring my dogs? It's been too hot here in Silicon Valley and I know there's a great dog park nearby. Hee

      A:

Yes! I brought my dog there and sat outside- it was a bit on the tight side! My dog is small and had a carrier- I was lucky and had a corner table that brought some shade (-along with the propped umbrella- he was comfy- Hope that helps!

An amazing dining experience! The food was delicious, and the ambiance was delightful. We brought our family visiting from Sacramento to Hula for brunch. They loved the food immensely. My nephew raved about the ube pancake. Cheryl and her staff were very attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this restaurant, their food has always been consistent.

Plenty of parking but you definitely need a reservation cuz it gets hella busy. Tiki bar vibes and the staff was super nice and attentive. Given that they were short staffed she was always checking up on us

The food is sooo bomb af. Every thing we had and drank was so good. The coffee old fashioned was dangerous cuz it didn't even taste like alcohol. Highlights were the short rib and Kim chee fried rice, homemade longanisa looking like red jimmy deans, and the mochiko loco moco

Definitely coming back to eat sample everything else they gots to offer

My friends and I ate here last night (8/23) and overall had a great time. Unfortunately, it appears my boyfriend got food poisoning from his meal here.

Towards the end of our dinner, my boyfriend starting feeling "anxious". We attributed that to him just being ready to leave, but as soon as we got to the car he told me he felt extremely queasy. By the time we got home he was experiencing diarrhea, headache, blurry vision, dizziness, the works.

His symptoms exactly matched that of scombroid poisoning, which is a foodborne illness derived from certain types of spoiled fish.

His meal that night? The Ahi Ahi Tuna tacos.

Symptoms can start literally within minutes of eating the fish, so this is the most likely culprit considering he didn't eat anything else suspicious that day.

The rest of our party is fine, but they all ate fully cooked dishes. We've never experienced anything like this during our other visits, but again, we don't typically eat the seafood meals offered.

My boyfriend will recover, but I would strongly advise anyone eating here to be mindful of any of the raw fish dishes, and I would urge the Hula Hoops team to review their food storage practices so that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Found this place due to Instagram. Made reservations and SO glad I did because there isn't a lot of seating. We got there as soon as it opened and wow, the place was packed in no time. And they did a lot of To-Go orders.

Upon walking in you're greeted with the cool island decor. Our waitress Lena was super nice and helpful when answering our questions.
Oh how I wanted to order everything but knew that the 2 of us could only eat so much.

We started with the mini acai bowl with all the fruit options. That was pretty good, but it can be filling.

We also ordered the ube waffle. Wow. That was good. It came with fruit, a citrus like flavor to the whipped cream and an ube drizzel. That waffle definitely made me a bit full.

Then we ordered what I like to call, the sampler. Garlic rice, an egg and all 3 meat options. Sisig, pork bbq and longonisa.

Everything was oh so good. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

We visited during the last hour of the night, and it appears that staff is clearly in a rush to get you outta there during that time. Even if they seemed friendly, it didn't feel very welcoming. The employee at the front didn't even greet us when we entered, his first words were an explanation of last call at 8:30pm (on a Sunday), which was fine, as it was only 8:15 and we mainly just wanted food.

But then even later during our visit, other staff members gave us the same vibe, they even asked us to pay the bill while we were still eating, this was before closing time. I totally understand places that wanna clean up early, but this just rubbed me the wrong way. They never said the words "hurry up" or "please leave" but we felt rushed the entire time we were there. And it wouldn't matter that much if the food was outstanding... but it wasn't.

The bbq pork dish was delicious, tasted like your standard filipino pork bbq skewer, but the serving size was on the smaller side. And in the beef loco moco, both the eggs and meat were overcooked and a bit dry. The flavor was decent though. We also tried the luzon chiller from the drink menu, and it was pretty good. The decor here is lovely, but if you come within an hour of closing time, just beware that the staff may treat you a little differently.

Always a great experience, assuming you made a reservation or don't mind the looooong wait if you come right at brunch/lunch time. Definitely one of the best Hawaiian places around. The food transports me straight back to the islands.

They have a large and delicious looking cocktail menu, as well as a few mocktails. I always just go for the coffee because, well, brunch. They also have a large vegan menu, which is appreciated as I'm vegetarian from time to time!

Honestly just pick whatever you feel like because the food is solid here. Not as mindblowing as some of places in Hawaii proper, but pretty damn close. I tend to go with the ube stuff as the flavour comes through, and while I really like lilikoi the flavour is so delicate it can get buried in the rest of the dish.

The only nit I have here is the service. We are always unlucky and get served after other tables even if they get seated way after us. Never get our coffee without nagging. Not once, but multiple times. ‍

This was great for a large group! We had a group of 9 and were accommodated super easily.

      Good:
      - Super friendly staff, were efficient at bringing out food too
      - Prices were great for the value and portions
      - The place is has a fun theme - it's tiki bar themed and the staff dress like them
      - The loco moco was so tasty - good amount of rice and meat - and I liked
      the gravy it came with.
      - The Combo sisig bowl was also good, I liked that it came with 2 different meats - the sisig was my favorite.
      - The ube pancake was better than the lilikoi pancake since it had more sweetness
      - Cornbread was like mochi + cornbread!

      Bad:
      - The ube latte wasn't very good, was a bit bland honestly
      - The mac salad portions were pretty small

If you're looking for a place that's perfect for a large group and has little wait time, look no further!

Food was great, service was great and ambiance is always awesome.

Came with my son, husband, and two friends.
My friends got the eggs Benedict and the loco moco and they enjoyed it. Husband got the sisig nachos (which is his go-to when we're here). But the best part was the braised short ribs with the kimchi fried rice.
My son loved the Ube pancakes.
We also had the spam fries and poke nachos for appetizer and it was awesome.
TRY THE BIBINKA CORNBREAD! It's sooooooooooooo so good.
I'll always come back here because the food is to die for and the service is great. Thanks sooo much.

Cool vibes, friendly staff. A large fun cocktail menu and the poke orders were good. Flower with the order was a nice touch. Live music Thursday evening!
