I went to the dealership knowing the exact model I wanted - I had made a decision and started making appointments with different dealerships all at once and made sure they were interested in my trade-in, etc.

When I met with Henry at this dealership, he gave me the respect of listening to exactly what I wanted, understanding I had done my research and was talking to anyone I could work with, and not trying to give me anything other than what I asked for. Hyundai of San Bruno also had the ability to back him up by having the mechanisms to make the deal happen quickly and smoothly. I am very happy with my 2024 Tucson plug-in hybrid, and with the experience!

I had a fantastic experience leasing my IONIQ 5. Hameed and Aemal were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. They treated me very well, provided a great price, and gave me all the information I needed. I couldn't be happier with their service and the deal I got. Highly recommend this dealership.

Three and a half rating? What are some people even crying about. Does the average person not understand how difficult it can be to run a car business - let alone a business in general?

Anyway my hat goes off to everyone that works here, but a full send would have to go to Nick 'MF' Chin. I was/am so so so close to sealing a deal but the main takeaway is that there was never any pressure or awkwardness throughout the process.

Other 'ships - take note please. Don't ignore your potential customers because they don't appear to your standard and, most importantly, be transparent whenever it comes to $$$

I've visited a lot of dealerships before (far too much for any normal person) and I can easily say this place is in my top 5.

There will always be those pool of clientele who will always find some dumb sh*t to complain about so take some of the not-so-stellar reviews with Costco package of salt.

I'd come back here to just hang out if I could but that would be really weird.

I recently purchased a Hyundai IONIQ 5 from CardinaleWay Hyundai of San Bruno. While the initial buying process was satisfactory, my post-purchase experience has been nothing short of disappointing and unprofessional.

After completing a customer satisfaction survey, I received a hostile and accusatory message from one of the salespeople, who accused me of lying on the survey and claimed that I had "screwed" them over. This kind of unprofessional conduct is unacceptable, especially after making such a significant purchase.

In response to this disturbing interaction, I reached out to both Hyundai Corporate and the General Manager of the dealership to report the hostile treatment. Given the severity of the issue, I expected an immediate response, but disappointingly, I have yet to hear back from either party.

This experience starkly contrasts with the dealership's stated commitment to developing "outstanding relationships where everybody wins." According to their website, they prioritize building long-lasting relationships with their customers and ensuring that "everybody wins." Unfortunately, my experience suggests otherwise.

The dealership emphasizes their dedication to knowing their product well, listening, caring, and understanding their customers' needs to foster trust and satisfaction. However, my recent interactions indicate a significant gap between these promises and the actual customer service provided.

For a dealership that prides itself on helping customers find the right car, it is crucial to maintain professionalism and respect throughout the entire customer journey. My encounter with the salesperson and the subsequent lack of response from the management have made me seriously reconsider any future business with this dealership and even with Hyundai as a brand. It also makes alternatives like Tesla, which avoid the dealership model entirely, much more appealing.

We were left in the dark with no updates to our car and promises that we would get an update. It only took multiple calls a day for weeks for us to get something. It's extremely frustrating to be paying thousands of dollars to get one of the worst service experience I have gone through. Even when we were in the store to finally pick up our car another customer came in exclaiming how upset he was that no one was picking up his call.

They promise us that they would call us back but we get nothing. They redirect our calls to staff that have full voicemail inboxes -- how are we supposed to leave a voicemail if it literally cannot take anymore messages?

The staff here are friendly but it is extremely understaffed and maybe that is why they are unable to provide decent service. We service our car here because there is no other place near us that will work on it. If we could, we would choose to go elsewhere. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else if you can.

      Updated review

I wrote my initial review in May for an appointment on April 30th, 2024. I was hoping to post a better review, but alas, nothing has changed. I had scheduled an appointment to diagnose and fix my cruise control, which has never worked properly. After they performed their diagnosis (which took much longer than they advised) and "verified my concern," they listed a "faulty clutch switch" and "recommended replace clutch switch and recheck." My San Bruno Rep that day said she would follow up with more information to fix the issue. They charged me in full, which was supposed to pay for the diagnosis and repair - as per my San Bruno Hyundai representative who scheduled the appointment. Fittingly, he no longer works at San Bruno Hyundai. My rep on April 30th said she would have me covered for the repair. She followed up once on April 30th, after I left the dealership, and then never again. I have called and texted and left repeated messages. I am extremely disappointed they charged me in full even though they failed to complete the service. At the end of May, I finally got ahold of someone on the phone and he started looking into my issue; he was extremely nice, but he also never followed back up with me. It's been FOUR months and no one at San Bruno Hyudai has ever provided details for fixing my car. Why does going to this dealership feel like you are just getting scammed out of your money? Beyond frustrated with their service.

I went in for a manufacturer's recall software update on the charging port on my Ioniq-5. When I made my appointment five days ago, I told them I'd be waiting because I live pretty far away.

I arrived 5 minutes early so they wouldn't have to wait for me. I then waited 45 minutes for the service rep to review my reasons for the servicing, and was then informed that the car would be ready at 4:00 pm, about 7 hours later! I reminded the rep that I told the scheduler on the phone that I would be waiting. The rep said he was just "updating" me on the time! I told him what I thought he should do, then reclaimed my key and left.

The last two times I went there they showed the same lack of punctuality, poor organization and don't-care attitude, and I've heard of other people with the same experiences. So it's a chronic problem. Could this auto service department have any less respect for their customers, and do they deserve repeat business? No. I'm going elsewhere for service unless it's an emergency.

First time coming here and so glad there's it's closer to SF than the Fremont location. Kinda difficult to find the service dept. I hope they will have bigger & clearer signage in the future but until then, just follow the signs to the Genesis maintenance and it's right next to the century theatre carpark. Park the car and go through the glass doors under the word "Service" to check in.

My appointment was at 8 am and after an hour I am still waiting. Surprisingly, they have no records of my previous service maintenance at another location because Hyundais are not affiliated with one another, so I was told (not true). After explaining what needed to be fixed, I was referred to Darren, the service manager, who advised me as to what I should do, so nothing was done but I am still glad this branch is closer to SF.

Had a great experience at this dealership over Memorial Day weekend. It's beautiful and spacious and being connected to a shopping center was convenient with the kids.

We had a really pleasant experience with Brian Betty who made the process really transparent and productive. He went out of his way to be helpful and helped us pick a great car (Ioniq 5). Overall we were very happy and felt good about our pick as well as the pricing that was offered.
