My boyfriend and I were looking to book a couple's massage, and Immersion Spa was able to give us a same day appointment on a Sunday. A lot of other day spas were not able to give us same day appointments on Memorial Day weekend, so we were excited.

Stepping through the front doors, the front desk greeted us immediately and didn't need us to fill out any paperwork before hand. This was a nice touch to begin our relaxation, but I would have liked the facility to take note on any areas I would like the masseuse to concentrate on, or the type of massage I would like.

My boyfriend and I parted ways into the "female only" and "male only" doors before meeting up for our massage at 3:00PM. We had arrived 30 minutes earlier, and I had a bit of time to check out women's facilities. This Korean spa has many facilities that I would like to back to enjoy. There is a Himalayan Salt Room, Dry Sauna, Steam Room, Jet Spa Jacuzzi, and Ice Bath. I didn't get a chance to use those amenities, but would like to next time.

After checking out the different amenities, I walked to our couple's massage room about 10 minutes early. Our masseuses told me to come back in 10 minutes as I was early. This is not my first time to a couple's massage, and I was expecting the masseuses to accommodate me a bit better. I went back to the women's facility room until 3:00PM and went back.

The 3 star review is really given to my masseuse. I was hoping for a relaxing 1 hour massage with my boyfriend, but my masseuse asked me questions throughout the first 15 minutes of the massage and would whisper/chat to the other masseuse in the room. I just wanted a peaceful 1 hour massage. For the price we paid for the massage, I was also hoping the massage room would be more comfortable. Maybe some aroma scents to relax us before the massage and some relaxing music. My masseuse was also very inconsistent, what she did on one side of my body was not always repeated on the other side. There were parts of the body that the massage felt great, but other parts felt like pinching as she did not hit the right areas. Also, it is typical for the masseuse to cover the body part that he/she was just massaging when he/she moves on to the other side. She did not always cover me back up, and there were times when it got a bit chilly. This was also the first massage where I felt that my bikini areas were not "protected". Many she would massage my butt or I could feel the wind in my girl areas. At the very end of the massage, she sat me up and pulled my arms behind me to stretch me, and the towel that was covering me fell down and I was very exposed. This should be something that should either be mentioned beforehand or consented.

Overall, I would return to Immersion Spa to use their facilities, but I would not go back for a massage.

Immersion Spa does a great job of taking traditional Korean sauna/spa (JjimJil Bang) and making it modern and approachable for those new to it, and to dip their toes into this spa culture! It is fully nude, if you are not comfortable with that please book a private spa/sauna room. It is a communal experience.

I opted for a scrub and a spa pass which includes the hot tub, cold plunge, dry sauna and steam room. The spa/sauna is on the small side but enjoyed the bright light within the pool area. The sitting area to wash up is plentiful and great if you decide to scrub yourself there if not choosing the service. The sauna is on the smaller side I would say maybe 3 people fit comfortable, but nice and hot. Steam room was infused with eucalyptus and wasn't too steamy and decent visibility. Salt room was warm enough, relaxing and quiet.

The scrub here at Immersion is probably one of the better scrubs I've had! For those unfamiliar, this service is not meant to be relaxing by any means. They are literally scrubbing every nook and cranny to exfoliate you from head to toe. Being scrubbed down, flipped around and getting water sloshed onto your body does feel like you're going through a human car wash ... but it's so worth it! The shampoo, head massage and face washing reminded me of core memories as a child and my mother figures. Yujin was very sweet and checked to make sure pressure was okay during the scrub and was very detailed. Instructions to reposition were short commands. It was enough to understand, but just language barrier things ig. I actually like the beds here as they aren't too slippery with just enough texture and soft enough.

I love that Immersion carries Aveda products and helped myself to their facial toner and hair products. There are other basics like brushes that you can sanitize, hair dryers and hair products. They also provide an herbal tea which was hot and a relaxing way to end my spa day.

I did think it was strange that they did not have a slipper option when not in shoes, but the floors were textured and did not seem slick at all. I also like that they provide simple robes, opposed to the bright and boxy uniform looking attire they usually provide at other Korean spas.

The spa/sauna is gender separated here. Typically, K spas have separated ares for just hot tubs and services. In communal areas, they are coed and family oriented. As well as a dining area. There are no communal areas for coed or dining here.

Please bring cash for tips for your services!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this spa and cannot recommend it. I took a day off in anticipation of a relaxing experience, only to find that my reservation for a package (massage + Korean scrub) was not made. Despite presenting the confirmation text I got after booking and proof of payment, the staff claimed there was no record of my booking.

Feeling frustrated but wanting to salvage the day, I opted to purchase a day pass for the sauna and jacuzzi. Unfortunately, when I left, I discovered that my flip flops were either mistakenly taken or stolen, so I had to walk barefoot to my car.

The overall experience was frustrating and disappointing. I urge potential visitors to reconsider; you may not receive the service you expect and might ruin your day.

      Confirmation text I received.

      Updated review

From the beginning of discovering this spa. I had originally given the spa a (4) stars. Yet after the last few experiences, the spa has shifted to a bathhouse for sexual perversion not appropriate for public spaces. I'm not a prude and do believe in safe spaces for such things to occur. Yet it's extremely uncomfortable to come to place to relax from the weeks works stress only to stumble upon men doing things I'm not allowed to share on this review.

I'm embarrassed to have recommended this place to coworker and friends only to hear them report back that they were sexually advanced on or walked into *rg*.

Won't be back and recommend owners do something about this happening in their space.

Great massage from Kim and Lyn, hands strong like bull. Feeling good. My girlfriend booked us a couples massage.

However, as it is a segregated spa, the men's area is a little strange. As soon as you walking in men are glaring at your meat and are on the hunt.

I walked in on two dude fiddling each other in the sauna. Pretty sure I stepped in bodily fluids. Men constantly sticking their heads out in the steam/sauna winking trying to get your attention while sitting bare ass naked on the surfaces. I looked into the jade room and there are 4 men wrestling. Skipped that one! There is probably a reason the jets are permanently turned off in the hot tub.

There were also a couple p3nis rings laying in the parking lot in front of the business! Classy.

If this is gonna happen all fair, but hint this on the website. Maybe say "lgtb" friendly. Apparently this spot is known as a "cruising" location where men seek other men. No problem with it but a heads up would be appreciated.

If you enjoy using the spa before a scheduled treatment, the price point to do so is excellent, and this spa is one of the cleanest! However, you must be comfortable roaming in the nude. No spa slippers or bathing suits are permitted when using the hot tub, ice bath, sauna, steam room or salt room. Don't forget cash for tips!

My gf and I had our scheduled massages for 11:30 and decided to arrive about 30 minutes early to indulge in the spa amenities. The friendly front desk girls will give you a couple towels, a robe and a locker key at the time of check-in. Once you enter the spa, shoes are to be removed at the door and items stored in your assigned locker. Turn your cell phone down and continue preserving the serenity in the atmosphere with little to no talking.

We disrobed and entered the hot tub. Then, we made our way to the ice bath for a minute which makes you feel amazing before entering the eucalyptus steam room. From the steam room, we spent our final moments before massage time soaking in the calming effects in the salt room.

As our appointment approached, we had some hot tea, sat in the tiny waiting area until the ladies called us by locker number. The deep tissue massage was extremely relaxing, loosened up my whole body (including my face/head) and really put the icing on the cake for the entire experience. These ladies have strong hands!

Once, our session was over, we returned to the shower area to remove the oils and wash our hair. The provision of Aveda products for hair and skin is very much appreciated! They have combs, blow dryer and after shower hair conditioning treatment also.

On our way out, we dropped our envelopes with cash tips for our masseuses and headed to lunch! This is a perfect way to start a Sunday. I've heard much about those phenomenal body scrubs and am looking forward to my next treatment here!

I always have a great time at this spa, they do a great job at providing authentic Korean suana/spa services. I've also had the best massage I've ever had here. Great experience, great service!

4 stars - scrub and facilities
      1 star - massage

First time doing a Korean scrub + spa! The scrub hurt a little bit at first but started to feel good after a while. I felt silky smooth afterwards. Would definitely recommend giving it a try. So much grossness comes off. It's amazing. The ajumma scrubbing me down communicated in nudges and grunts, which I did not mind. I requested to skip the shampoo and face wash and got extra massage time instead. The table is super slippery, so be careful!

I really enjoyed the sauna + cold bath combo and did several rounds. Steam room was not that steamy or hot. Salt room was relaxing. I think the lady next to me fell asleep. :) Did not try the dry sauna.

I also booked a deep tissue massage, and it was the strangest massage I've ever had in my life. It was definitely not a deep tissue. More like a mix of random, confusing styles. At one point, she was bending me shiatsu style. Lots of Swedish sweeps. I asked for more pressure, and the technician struggled to know when/where that was appropriate vs. not. Ended with intense head scratching that went on and on and left me with a slightly sensitive/bruised scalp for the next 24 hrs... :|

      Not a relaxing environment!
Read the reviews before choosing to go here.
And everyone is naked but they do a good job about communicating that.

So many questionable things happened during my time at this spa.

You have to take your shoes off as soon as you enter. There not much room to do it and they don't give you slippers. Talk about a fall risk.

The lockers and some amenities were decent. It's nice that they have lotion, shower stuff, blow dryers and water. But it's weird that they ask you to write your name on your water to conserve when they waste so much water on the body scrubs. I'll get to that.

The jacuzzi area is so bright, not relaxing at all. And the water was not very hot.

The steam room and salt room was nice. The steam room was not overwhelming and it had a nice eucalyptus smell.

The scrub and massage seemed so unprofessional.

The rooms are not private! You walk behind a curtain but all the rooms are open and only divided by a partial wall. There's no door and the rooms are bright. For the scrub I was on a table in the weirdest positions, butt facing the open hallway, while she scrubbed everywhere. The scrub was nice but very awkward. Nothing was covered minus the brief moment she threw, yes threw, a small hand towel on me. Then she took a bucket and collected water from a garbage can and threw it on me to rinse off the dead skin.
All the money we pay and they use a garbage can and throw buckets of water.

The massage was not relaxing. It was bright and there was no music or nice scents. Instead I could hear talking and people walking through the hallway. I was not asked about focus areas. And I wasn't told to move when needed, instead I was tapped when I was requested to move.

They also don't have towels in the locker area so you have to ask whenever you need one.

While they have signs to be quiet no one was. People were taking selfies and talking loudly. Because everything is open, including the showers you hear everything.

Definitely not the place to go to relax. But if you just want to enjoy the steam room and salt room than it's OK.
