I'm a regular at the Elk Grove locations but I like to visit other locations. I visited the Natomas location and it was okay. I liked that it wasn't overly crowded during my visit (Tuesday, around 9 am) but that was about it.
The equipment was standard and with a good amount of each so you didn't have to wait around until someone finished.
My major gripe was the lack of cleanliness. The women's room appeared unkempt. (See pics)
Overall it wasn't a bad experience but this is on my least preferred location list.

I never leave reviews but every time I talk until this gym it upsets me. Half the cardio machines are broken and do not work. Not enough pins in the weight lighting machines so it cannot use half the machines which makes wait times longer. The bathroom was closed for 2 months and there weren't even enough repairs or upgrades to notice.

I've been coming to this location for almost 7 years, I'm finally going to cancel my membership. I'm absolutely not getting my money's worth. It's far too expensive for the condition of the gym and equipment.

Since becoming in shape their cleanliness has tanked.
Ants everywhere, mirrors dirty, no towels in the dispensers. The workout room by the pools is filthy.

Don't waste your money! I now have to drive 34 miles to actually have a gym. The Natomas location is terrible! Been waiting on management to contact me and nothing being resolved. They send i boit messages saying they are concerned but nobody ever gets back to you. They just keep sending emails that someone will be in touch. But nothing happens. You try to call corporate and its just a generic message saying to contact Gm of location with issues. But its the Gm that has not shown or made any changes. At least with cal-fit we could voice are issues with an actual person not this email process that never gets answered. Don't waste you money. There are other gyms un Sacramento that treat people right!

DIRTY. Extremely dirty and kept in poor condition. Quality and cleanliness of gym have been extremely disappointing as soon as they became In Shape. Majority of machines are broken, the staff at the kids club are not enthusiastic and make me feel uneasy leaving my kids with them, and staff does not seem to care when we voice our concerns to them. I've approached the staff several times about broken machines and they give me the same answer every time I do basically saying there's nothing they can do. Over the 6 years that I've been a member here, I've brought countless people over to this gym and I think it's time that we finally leave. I think if enough people start canceling memberships due to poor gym conditions, In Shape will then get the hint.

Definitely not worth it. These machines have been down over a week! Showers down, Spas down! Natomas Location is a joke!

The issue with this particular location is safety within its parking lot. They have a growing homeless population along the perimeter of their outdoor swimming pool and parking lot that is ever expanding. The homeless cruise the lot looking into cars at all hours, but especially during the evening and early morning. I'd advise to only park near the entrance to the gym. Be vigilant and stay safe.

Since one year I left my last review this gym has not changed for better. It is absolutely disgusting and overcrowded. They sign up people like no tomorrow with no space accommodating them. Also, the members here are inconsiderate and don't like sharing space. Today I tried working out in the stretching area and one guy was hoarding the whole space and told me he came first and I can't work out there as if I'm not a member like he is. No staff walking around and regulating anything people are loud and obnoxious here it's disgusting filthy and I'll take my money elsewhere because this place is over priced and overcrowded 24/7. Machines are mainly targeted for men and women can't even reach some of the counterparts. Basketball courts are full of pick up games and no one can even shoot around over there because the hoarders there tell you to leave. For the amount I'm paying I want to see quality but this gym is just greedy and dirty. Natomas needs to do better and open more gyms so this useless dump can go out of business.

I've worked out at the Alhambra location since 1994. Since rebranded "In Shape," this location has become an horrible place to workout. The machines take forever to fix, and the staff is not as friendly. The AC, or lack there of, has turned the entire gym into a swedish sauna. If you're serious about your exercise, this is not the place for you. for comparison, visit this club and almost any other In Shape location. Walk into the Laguna location and you darn need a sweatshirt. Alhambra members pay the same are being ripped off in my opinion.

The place is disgusting. Floors have never been mopped. I complained about them months ago but I go everyday and still floors aren't touched. I leave my shoes in the back yard of my house because I'm afraid of whatever funk is in that place. Toilets are so gross to where you don't want to use them. It has so much potential to be a nice club but it's just cheaply managed.
