Salem is without a doubt the most helpful, honest, knowledgeable, and downright selfless guy in the industry. I was in the market for a used car, and I contacted him after being completely fed up with the dealerships around San Francisco and down the Peninsula and their sales tactics. He was super prompt in responding to me, and then he made it clear that he was going to do his best to find the car I was looking for at auction. Being that I was in a rush to get a car for circumstantial reasons, I would send Salem other listings of cars I was finding online. Even though these weren't his cars, he'd text me honest feedback about the car sharing if it was a good value, if the warranty was worth it, etc. About two days into my text thread with Salem, I sent him a car that he said was a legit deal. He told me that if I could get the car down in price by around five hundred bucks, I should get it. Now this advice wasn't benefiting Salem in any way, but he was still giving it to me completely selflessly. The entire time I was at the dealership negotiating, Salem was one text away making sure I wasn't getting bait and switched when it came to warranties. He even was helping me negotiate a lower interest rate! This guy is absolute gold! If I ever buy another car or sell mine, he is the only one I will go to. Let's put it this way, I saved his contact in my phone, and no other car sales person will ever make it to that status. Thanks Salem for making a very rough process, so much more enjoyable. This review has been a long time coming. What can I say that everyone hasn't said already? Salem is the antithesis of your typical cars salesman. He is honest and has a ton of integrity. He truly wants to do what's best for you (the customer), going above and beyond all the time.

I first encountered Salem when Ion cars about 7 years ago when it was located in San Francisco. I wanted to see if he would purchase my Volkswagon Passat. He offered a price (a fair one and more than I could get on a trade in), but also said I would probably end up getting a better price selling it privately. I did end up going that route but didn't forget Salem. I really appreciated his straight talk and service to the customer.

A few years back, I did sell him a Honda CRV. I came to the dealership with a number in mind. He offered me a bit more than anticipated, and I took the offer on the spot. He ensured everything with the car and we had a deal.

Last year, I approached Salem about trying to find a Prius C at a certain price point, year, and mileage. He checked out various sites over the next month or so until he found something that met the criteria. He gave me a call and let me know the total cost before preceding. I gave him the green light to get the car. A few weeks later the car was ready for pick up, as described (looking new).

Salem is the very best. He is not only handsome, but very nice and pleasant. I appreciate his honesty. Very happy to hear his compliment on my car, since I loved driving my BMW. He is responsive and fair. The whole process took about 30 min. It's sad to bid goodbye to my car, but i know that it's in good hands now. Thumbs up and up!
