Wow!! This is a very traditional, delicious restaurant. The building is very old but the inside decorations are beautiful. There are hand-drawn people on the walls and new chairs and tables. The server was very friendly, helpful, and nice. We ordered laksha mee, pad Thai, and green curry. The pad Thai was very yummy and you could taste the eggs which were beautifully seasoned. Their pad Thai is the top 2 pad Thai dishes I have ever had. The green curry was kind of spicy and flavorful. I'm glad the green curry is actually spicy. Some restaurants have no spicy green curry. The laksha mee was honestly too oily but the noodles, meats and vegetables were delicious. Okra was very tender. I would come back again if I pass by Burlingame and milbrae.

Fantastic Malaysian food. HIGHLY recommend the Malaysian Iced Tea which tasted similar to HK-style milk tea since it wasn't overly sweet. The spicy dishes were not as spicy as I had thought but there was good flavor in their dishes!

Their Roti Canai is one of my favorite appetizers and their aromatic chicken is a great entree. However, I also enjoy their mango-based dishes, such as their mango fish and mango chicken, which are equally great. Their spicy dishes aren't too spicy, so don't be afraid of the red chili pepper sign.

The staff are incredibly warm-hearted, patient, and attentive. There is usually plenty of seating on a weeknight.

They prefer you pay in cash to keep costs low, but they also accept Visa and Mastercard payments.

Parking is relatively easy on the street next to it or in the small lot behind.

Very very yum! I didn't realize I loved Malaysian food this much until I enjoyed the food at Ipoh Garden!

Pre-ordered a few dishes for takeout and happy to see it was ready when we arrived about 15-20 minutes later.

Dining area is cute and upbeat. Food delicious! Impressed that the dining area had two nice spaces for dining patrons with one section completely filled when we got there about 11am.

Parking a little difficult since only street parking. We quickly parked in a non-space area in the back of restaurant while we did our quick pickup.

Would I return? Absolutely! Probably do takeout though with two persons in car during to lack of parking.

Never heard of this place until a friend of my boyfriend recommended and chose this restaurant for his(friend) birthday.

The service was great! Staff were very nice, professional and friendly.

The food we ordered were all amazing! We ordered Hainanese Chicken, Dry Curry Beef, Roti , Basil Tofu and Char Koay Teow. Love love love it.

Bathroom and the dining room were clean, quiet, comforting.

This is my first time here and will never be my last.

      A must visit!

Came here for Father's Day. This place takes reservations and it was close to where my Dad stays.

We had a large group and they were able to accommodate us which was great. Of course on this day the place was packed. We made our order and I was surprised that the food was really good. The calamari was really fresh and tasted great. All of the food we got was really good to.

      I would come back again.

Service is great. But the dishes are kind of too salty. Otherwise, it is good. Can't decide will come back or not yet.

It's always good to have more variety of cuisine. In this matter, South East Asian cuisine like Indonesian, Singapore, Malaysian cuisine. IPOH serves Malaysian style cuisine. I ordered Nasi Lemak. Takes awhile since I came right when they open for the day. They have quite big dining area, plenty of tables with Malaysian decor and ambiance. As far taste, it's not too bad. The content is different though. They give you deep fried chicken wing ? (chinese style), with curry chicken, veggies/acar, roasted peanut, egg, cucumber and off course coconut rice. Missing the sambal and true acar. Might order different item next time stop by.
NOTE: Cash preferred. Min $25 for Credit Card.

This place was a great little spot to go to right next to the BART station. The service is great. They came out really fast and got waters immediately once we sat down.

I really liked their rice noodles it was hot, had bouncy noodles and was flavorful. Their chicken with chicken rice had good taste but it didn't seem like it had the Hainanese flavoring and chicken oil. It wasn't super hot but at least the chicken was juicy, but I would say that the chicken was super fresh.

I also got the fried rice and it was a little bit lacking of flavor. I would rank them a 3.5/4.

We ordered several items to share. Some dishes are good, some not so much

I recommend getting the roti canai, skewers with satay sauce (sauce was awesome), and Char Koay Teow flat rice noodles. Mango fish was yummy too!

You can skip the fried rice, it was soggy and bland, same thing with the Hainanese chicken, was just okay.

Tasty food and friendly efficient service.

Laksa Mee noodle soup has a nice coconut flavor and mix of toppings. Comes with some chicken, tofu, eggplant, and green beans.

Char Koay Teow are a wok fired stir fry noodle with shrimp and squid pieces. Excellent charred wok hei flavor. Would definitely get this again.

You could see in the back kitchen window a male chef cooking these fresh as people ordered. The wok could really get going! Staff was attentive to keep refilling our water glasses which was appreciated.
Portions are fairly filling and an average value set

Tasty Malaysian/Singaporean Cuisine with friendly attentive service. Haven't tried this? Think Chinese food with strong Indian and SE Asian influences to kick the flavors up a notch or two!

Easy parking all around and excellent access by transit as Ipoh Garden is just across the street from the joint BART and Caltrain Station at Millbrae.

Step inside and you'll find a nicely kept, bright interior with whimsical artistic flourishes on the walls. Casual and relaxed is the atmosphere here.

      My favorites:
Roti - perfect crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy under the skin.

Hainanese Chicken Rice - on point. Tender and moist with all the fixins' - the red chilli sauce and the ginger scallion sauce.

Order up some veggies or fish for a balanced meal!

Yes, Ipoh Garden to us is definitely a good choice for S'porean/Malaysian cuisine..
