I wish I had done this sooner! I've been wearing contacts for 10 years now, glasses a few years on top of that and so I finally pulled the trigger on getting lasik eye surgery! I went in for a consult which was quick and easy. Tommy recommended me to get SMILE! It's only been a week since my surgery and I have 20/16 vision already.

The procedure day itself you need a driver, but the process was really straightforward. Each eye only goes under the laser for 23 seconds and then the doctor starts reshaping which is only a minute per eye. Your vision goes really blurry so you don't see anything happening. The aftercare you need to do medicated eye drops for 1.5 weeks 4 times a day. Dryness is one of the side effects I have already but one drop of artificial tears in the morning does it! It should go away in the upcoming weeks.

Definitely worth the money to invest in your eyes, they have a lifetime guarantee so why not! I've recommended 5 other people to get their eyes done here, no regrets by anyone.

I went last week for my Evo ICL surgery with Dr. Robert Lin. I was certainly pretty nervous about the procedure but Dr. Lin and his team were fantastic. From my initial consult to my pre op and the surgery itself, everyone on staff was helpful, professional, and courteous. I was really happy to meet Dr. Lin during my initial consult too, and the discussion I had with him and the information he told me, gave me confidence and reassurance that he would be the best one to do this surgery and that evo ICL is the best option for me due to my higher degree of nearsightedness. He and the team were amazing the day of surgery and everything went according to what he had told me. I believe Joel who was one of the OR assistants I talked to before and after the surgery also helped me feel more comfortable and less nervous about it all.

My patient coordinator Charlotte was very helpful in answering questions I had leading up to the surgery. The technicians who helped take measurements such as Helen and Jorge made sure everything went smoothly, and the optometrists like Dr. Wu were very thorough in their examinations.

As for my recovery, my vision was already better day 0 of surgery and for the first day post op visit the optometrist said I was already seeing 20/20. I'm glad they are continuing to monitor my eye pressure and having me utilize anti biotic drops because the recovery after surgery was another thing I am worried about. My eyes got less sensitive to the light and sun as inflammation improved and I'm hoping that some eye dryness and halos will continue to improve and be minimal.

From the initial consultation to surgery to post-op appointments, I've been thoroughly impressed by the IQ Laser Vision staff! I came in hesitant but hopeful, in search of freedom from my -8.5 vision with high astigmatism. Last year, my eyes started rejecting contacts--every time I wore them I was faced with redness, inflammation, and unbearable dryness. I was on rounds of steroid and antibiotic drops and was stuck in glasses for 8+ months. With such a high prescription, it was a pain to continue with my normal activities as glasses are heavy and my vision was warped.

After my consultation with one of their doctors, they determined ICL would be best. I decided to meet with Dr. Lin on Zoom beforehand and he was very knowledgable and gave me confidence that the surgery would go well despite my unique circumstances. I had gone to another clinic as well, but in the end chose IQ Laser Vision because of Dr. Lin's experience and because they use the latest technology with the ArcScan--getting the most precise measurements for the lens to fit the eyes. This ended up being crucial for me since my left eye was slightly smaller than my right and they used different size lenses to accommodate them.

The surgery itself felt quicker than I had thought it would be. Dr. Lin was calm, kind, and reassuring. It was painless and recovery has been so easy. I'm on day 4 post-surgery and am already seeing 20/20. It's incredible and so life changing as someone who's been in glasses since I was 5 years old. My husband was able to watch the surgery and was impressed by Dr. Lin's steady hands. I am so glad I chose IQ Laser Vision and Dr. Lin!

Waited 2 years to finally submit a review...
I had the smile procedure done at their Stevens Creek blvd location. What a mistake! I should have never messed with something as important as my vision, but I did and now I regret it. I was not given a full explanation to as the potential outcome by the optometrist. She gave me a passing opinion and moved forward with the procedure. I should have been more diligent, but I wasn't and instead trusted IQ's sales pitch. Long story short, I spent $8000 to have severely dry eyes for the first 6 months and to wear glasses for the rest of my life. My eye-sight is ruined.

EVO ICL Surgery Update!
I can see without contacts!!!

Day of I was nervous, but a gal in the lobby had the surgery earlier in the day and said it was a breeze. It's like looking at a kaleidoscope. That eased my nerves. The team came out checked my eye pressure, put in drops. Later I was brought to a room to connect with the surgeon, Dr. Lin, for final questions...then it was off to the surgery room!

More drops and something for my eye lashes, then securing my lids open and then Dr. Lin did his thing. I wouldn't say there is pain, but minor pressure during the procedure during placement of lense but that doesn't last too long. I was surprised how well I could see after the procedure- minor blurring...but I could easily walk on my own. My eyes also didn't seem to be too impacted by lights...very minor if any at all. More drops...waited about an hour or so, checked my eyes and I was off.

Once I got home I just slept. When I woke up I was really surprised I had no pressure as that was the thing they warned me about. I had what I found out was minor bruising (expected) but only during certain movements and it wasn't pain but they annoying bruise feeling. Ate dinner, more drops and then back to resting the rest of the night.

Next day was my check-up, how fun driving knowing I don't have glasses/contact on! The right eye seemed smudged, but honestly it's been worse with my contacts. Minor star/halo effect when I did see it it was kind of pretty...maybe bc it's Christmas time. 5 days since my surgery (Xmas Eve) and I couldn't have asked for a better gift to myself. This is such a game changer. Hardest part of the whole thing? Not sleeping on my side.

If you are on the fence, please take it from me it is SO worth it. For a person that would sleep in contacts I had such a high chance of getting an eye infection that could have damaged my eyes. The thought of not SEEING my new nephew grow up was scary and pushed me to make a change.

I've always wanted to get lasik but my eye doctor said I am not eligible. But after years of wearing glasses and contacts and also reading too many articles about how technology has gotten better now-- i decided to do my own research. This is how i found IQ laser vision and how good they have been rated. So I did my initial consultation, met with Dr Lin and then got the recommendation. I decided to get EVO ICL since I have a thinning cornea. And it's been 3 weeks now since my eye surgery and I couldn't be happier. The eye care team (optometrist, opticians, medical assistant, techs and office assistants) is phenomenal especially Dr Sandy Wu. She was very patient with me while measuring my eyes. And Dr Lin is just the best. Extremely responsive, helpful and very accommodating. It's like they customize the service just for you.
I can't say enough good words. I would definitely recommend them if you are thinking of any eye procedure. They make sure to recommend what is best for you and not what is best for them.

Had a wonderful experience getting Lasik done here! Was very fast and my eyes healed really quickly! I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area that is thinking about doing it as well.

The doctor and staff were amazing and my overall experience was great! The clinic made sure I was comfortable every step of the way and answered all of my questions in a calm and professional manner. The entire procedure was short and painless and I was in and out in a few hours. I got the EVO ICL procedure and I am free of glasses and contact lens. I got my procedure done about year ago and just had my last checkup. From the consultation to the surgery to the monthly check ups post surgery my experience here has been great. Each person that works here is so kind, friendly, and helpful. I have been wanting Lasik for the longest time and was super nervous so just kept delaying it. However staff members like Amber, Ricky, and Dr. Tran were really comforting and helped calm my nerves throughout the whole process. I got the SMILE procedure and it literally took 10 minutes. I was shocked and mad at myself for waiting so long to do this. Other than the first few months of some blurriness due to my eyes adjusting I had no issues and my vision is now better than 20/20. This review is long overdue, but I had ICL surgery with Dr. Lin last year, and it was the best decision I made for my eyes. He and his team are super professional and thorough. They discovered a hole in my retina prior to the procedure that I ended up seeing a retinal specialist to fix. After over 30 years of wearing corrective lenses at a very high prescription, this has been life-changing.
