I am a business person who respects other business people who have a high standard of workmanship, integrity, honesty and do what they say they are going to do and more. Nikolay, Shy and their experienced crew, more than met this standard and made a very difficult landscaping project on a sloped hill, a reality without stress and unnecessary hassles. They completed a 150 foot stone swale on a hillside with no equipment access that required excavation, stone and concrete work, irrigation system, and major drainage concerns which have plagued me for many years. I interviewed several landscape contractors before choosing Iris, and Iris was the only contractor (Nikolay and Shy know their stuff!) who could explain with confidence and experience how to get the job done to my engineer"s and my expectation. Their crew was extremely hardworking, and very respectful of my property. They rolled out the "red carpet" everyday on my stairs (a covering which they removed each evening) to make sure not to get mud or debris on my walkway and be sure I wasn't inconvenienced. Another great asset to this Company is the honesty they have in telling you what you need to do outside of the scope of the job to enhance the overall work they do, e.g. looking ahead to the maintenance you need to do, the care of your plants and watering.

I can't say enough but that they are genuinely passionate and meticulous in their detail about their work. I would have them back again in a millisecond to do their magic. Thanks for an excellent job professionally done from start to finish that made me extremely happy I choice IRIS for the job!

Nikolay listened well, was respectful of our budget and offered creative solutions that turned out both beautiful and practical. His team was always on time, polite and hardworking. The job was finished on time and turned out better than we had imagined.
For reference, we asked Nikolay to update the front yard landscaping and redesign and install a new walk up.

Nikolay brought his wealth of knowledge and experience to help us define a vision and transform an embarrassing mess of a front yard to a cohesive ensemble. Iris Landscaping just completed an extensive exterior project for us which included a complete re-do of our backyard as well as the front of our house. We are beyond pleased with the results and had a great experience working with Nikolay, Shy and their team. The attention to detail, their professionalism, their artistic and architectural ideas - all top notch. When we initially met with Nikolay to discuss the project, we had some specific requests which I would call lifestyle requests that we wanted to be incorporated and might have taken away from an architect's vision for a project like ours. Not only did Nikolay incorporate these asks but he made them look like they belonged and we are super happy with the results. While we had a plan for how the finish result would look, Nikolay asked that we be open to making changes along the way because sometimes in the middle of a project, he seems better ways to do things. And periodically this did happen and his recommendations were great and so enhanced the final product. While we originally hired Nikolay and his partner Shy for the exterior project, we met at the beginning of the project and Shy pointed at a large stucco exterior wall which backs up to our family room and said - a huge picture window would look great here and would really connect the new exterior to the house. Boy was he right! I highly recommend Iris Landscaping, and Nikolay and Shy.

Nikolay and his team were amazing to work with from start to finish. When my wife and I set out to update our backyard, we knew nothing other than we wanted a good entertaining space, room for our son to play and a good indoor/outdoor space that would be low maintenance. Nikolay took the time to understand what was important to us how we planned to use our backyard, he took the time to check the foundation and drainage around the home to ensure the final product would last for a long time and enhance our home value. He was in constant communication with us throughout the project to ensure we felt good about the direction and was always giving us different options to enhance our project but also stay in budget. The entire Iris team was professional, prompt, polite and efficient. No detail was too small, from the plants, to the angle of the lights, to the automated smart watering system he installed with an app on my phone. Iris is not the route to go if you are looking for the cheapest provider, but if you want a partner who will ensure your satisfaction and make your project uniquely beautiful, do yourself a favor and choose Iris.

Nikolay and his team did a great job on a complete renovation of our front and back yards. It included a drainage system, stone retaining wall, concrete retaining wall, stone patio, carpentry, lighting, and irrigation in addition to (of course) plantings. They did a great job on every single component.

Nikolay is trustworthy and communicative, and has great design sense as well as very high standards of quality. His team was hardworking, polite and professional. We were very happy with the process and are thrilled with the result!

In the last few months we now have multiple gopher holes in spots where we paid Iris thousands of dollars to install gopher wire

We had a great experience with Nikolay and the crew from Iris Landscaping. We had a large hillside in San Anselmo which required a thoughtful combination of drought and deer resistant planting. We also needed to replace an old irrigation system with a modern larger one.

Nikolay presented a number of alternative solutions and made very creative design suggestions for different plant layouts. He provided a detailed estimate of the work with no "surprise" extras at the end. This despite the extra labor involved in drilling into the hardened hillside to provide adequate room for the new plants.

His crew was extremely conscientious that the staging area in our driveway was clean and usable each day despite deliveries of hundreds of plants and truckloads of mulch materials. I have never seen a harder working crew as they moved up and down our steep hillside.

Iris Landscaping is small local group of artisans who can be overwhelmed at times by the number of projects in which they are engaged. Your patience will be rewarded if you allow them to fit you into their schedule. We look forward to working with them again.

The new hot tub project was finished 4 days ago and we are absolutely in love! A true masterpiece! Thank you, Nikolay! Brilliant design and execution!
