This garage is conveniently located right along the waterfront as well as across the street from the Regal Jack London movie theater, and the theater offers validation for 3 hours of free parking (which I took advantage of this past weekend). The clearance seemed really low, even for driving a small car, it felt like I was gonna hit the ceiling. But I didn't, and it was a stress-free experience parking my car here on a Saturday evening (lots of spots available). I also felt more secure about my vehicle than I would have if I parked it on the street.

Probably one of the best places to park in the general area but still - I think its best to leave your car at home and not use parking anywhere in Oakland if at all possible.

Maybe your going to Plank to booze it up. Or Scotts for a good steak. Or Fat Lady for both of the above at the same time. Fun to go to Fat Lady anyway in October because of their efforts in Halloween decorations.

Bart in. Bus in. Uber in. Car break ins are common. Maybe your a tourist and my review prevents some headache and insurance claims... I hope so.

Still, if you must drive in - I think this is one of the best bets. Much better than parking in downtown.

For your rental car try to avoid SUVs or Teslas - where they attract trouble. Get some plain car with a normal back trunk - not a Pruis - so things are at least out of view.

I recently rented a car for a couple days while my car was in the shop. They gave me this 'free upgrade' to a small SUV. While at the moment that sounded great - there was this short moment after check out but before I left the hotel where all our luggage was in the back. Thats the big issue...

      2 check-ins

We had tickets to a Hiroshima concert at Yoshi's on a Friday and in light of potential car break-ins, we parked in the Jack London Square Garage for the first time, rather on the streets. Entering the garage on Washington St., the first two levels were full and we parked on the third floor by the elevator/stairway. We just walked down the stairs and the entrance to Yoshi's was just a short walk down the block.

Yoshi's validates parking for a discounted rate. So have your ticket validated at the box office counter.

You pay at one of the five ticket kiosks at the first floor next to the elevators and stairs. Scan your ticket's bar code and your fee is on the screen. Payment is only by credit or debit. For 2 hours and 48 minutes, the validated parking fee was $4.75. At the exit gate, scan your ticket's bar code for exit.

First time parking here and the overall experience was good. Will park here again when we come for our next concert at Yoshi's.

This is my go-to for parking when I'm headed to Jack London Square. Don't want to give my secret away, but just want to give a shout out to the business. If you take the ferry to SF, get your ferry ticket validated for free parking at this parking lot. I was surprised and VERY DELIGHTED that this whole setup even existed. THANK YOU WHOEVER SET THIS UP FOR US REGULAR PEOPLE!

Here's som info from the Ferry website - https://sanfranciscobayferry.com/terminals/oakland-ferry-terminal

"Riders receive up to 12 hours of free validated parking in the garage at 101 Washington Street near the ferry terminal. Riders will be charged for any time over 12 hours. Validate parking tickets at the ferry terminal.
(Note: There is no overnight parking permitted.)

Also, I think this parking lot has improved operations a lot over the past few years (gates and ticket machines were always 1/2 broken in the past).

I don't use this facility often, but the times that I've been - the place looked pretty clean. I also saw a security person on patrol, but I'm not sure if that's still a service they provide.

This parking garage is so convenient! Lots of spaces. We don't bother looking on the bottom floors because usually there never are any available. We go straight to the 4th/5th floors and park, near the elevators/stairs. And almost every time we find a space. Damn, i'm sad I just gave my secret away lol.

When we go to the movies right across from the garage it's super cool because they validate your parking up to 3 hours!! So you don't have to pay.

We use this garage when going to the Plank as well. Super convenient and inexpensive. Make sure you take the ticket with you as you have to pay at the pay station before leaving!

If you lose your ticket, you end up having to pay the full day, which sucks! So don't lose it.

Also, elevators take foreverrrrrrr! So I recommend just taking the stairs, but don't touch railing! Never know how often they sanitize! Also, hold your breath it can smell of pee sometimes. Gross I know. Other than that, love this garage.

Ohhhhh, there's also a Bank Of America ATM directly in front of the parking garage!

If you view a movie across the street, you can validate your parking up to 3 hours! I think this is a great option if you want to park your car in a safer (compared to the street) location for no cost.

I didn't interact with staff, or anyone for that matter. The garage was decently full, but empty of people. I parked on the back of the garage and had to walk to reach the elevators, leading me to the front entrance of the garage/across from the theater.

Their elevator system is a little confusing because not all of them will take you to the ground floor.

Parked here and went to have lunch at one of the restaurants on the water, at the end of our meal be validated our parking ticket

Paid at the kiosk and then when we get to the gate to leave it says we owe another four dollars. We push the button for a call to assist which goes nowhere of course as no one answer on repeated attempts.

What a joke. Unfortunately there's not a lot of other options for parking which is probably why they don't care when there are issues.

The validator on the ferry wasn't working. The gentleman said that we would be reimbursed.
When I called this morning, a Very!!! Rude person said that they would not reimburse parking. This will keep me from taking the ferry again

So we parked here because it was supposed to be free with a validated ticket from the Ferry. But wait there is a catch, the validation machine is broken. So I ended up having to pay. I called two days later to resolve the issue and the man said you have to call us on the day of. He said it was printed somewhere, I didn't see it. All he had to do was let me send in my ferry pass and reverse the charges. He really didn't care.

Parked my expensive vehicle into this parking facility hoping to have an enjoyable evening at Yoshi's (dinner and show) with over twenty guests and performers (performing at this venue (Yoshi's). We felt that this posting facility would be safe, it was not. Perpetrators smashed the driver's side keyhole, vandalized the ignition and steering column, stole many items in the glovebox and rear of the SUV cab area. The alarm system would have blasted an alarm and the vehicle was in plain site (first stall after you enter through the entry gate. We were devastated and stranded because the perpetrators destroyed this luxury SUV ability to drive/start. All electronics were impacted, alarm took out the battery. Where was the SECURITY? Never again will any of my family, friends use this particular parking facility that has cameras too (unavailable to patrons). Following up with the people in charge was very unsuccessful!
