Jackie Movers

I have used Jackie Movers twice and both times the experience was smooth, efficient and professional. In my first move I had four movers help me pack my apartment and move me into storage; the in second, I had three movers move me out of storage and into my apartment in San Francisco. My comments apply to both experiences:
- Movers arrived on-time, in uniform, ready to work
- Team leader was organized, friendly, had all the paperwork ready
- They came prepared with handcarts, blankets, tape, safety cones for parking, etc.
- Everything was packed up beautifully -- maybe a little too much packaging, but nothing was damaged and the packaging helped protect the items while in storage
- Workers moved efficiently
- Kept an eye on the security of my items, especially with truck open on my busy city street
- Did not take any breaks during the entire 5-hour process (and very politely asked to use my restroom)
- Had no trouble finding my storage unit or my apartment; didn't need me to provide directions
- Customer service from company owner Manuel was efficient and professional both on the phone and in writing

They would like to be paid in cash; however, they are not able to provide a tight estimate ahead of time and it can be hard to know how much cash to have available. Manuel told me in detail about how the pricing is determined (hourly rate, drive time rate, etc) but explained that the final price would just be based on how long it takes. In the end, the price was very fair and affordable, and within 15% of the original estimate.

Have used this company for moving purposes twice. Reasonably priced, responsive. They do a good job and I would call them again if I need their services.

Update: Just finished unpacking and a $2k bracelet given to me by a now deceased loved one (kept securely in the top drawer of a chest that had everything else still in it) is NOWHERE in my belongings. These movers are the only people who had access it it, they need to be in prison.

Hired them for a 3rd time to pack and move this weekend. This time they left behind an entire kitchen cabinet of belongings. They also cause damage to a wall in my never lived in, brand new apartment. While they were still in my apartment, they promised to make things right. Talk to them the next day and the story changes to "the damage was already there." Okay, that's why there's paint on my dog crate lock and the hole in the wall that they are disputing has a hole the same shape as the lock

Mistakes I can forgive and forget, dishonesty is inexcusable. You lost a customer who has been very good to you over the years. Hope it was worth it.

We were moving from SF to Oakland and I contacted Jackie movers for a quote via Yelp. Manuel was very responsive and gave me a quote for min 2 hours which included gas and 2 movers. The time started when they arrived for the move and ended when we were ready to pay at our new apartment. This was very reasonable as I know many other moving companies charge for the duration of the roundtrip which I think can be unreasonable. They also had all the packing items such as blankets and dolleys but we ended up packing everything ourselves to save time.

He ended up sending 3 guys and didn't charge us for the miscommunication which I really appreciated. The move for all of our stuff ended up being 3.5 hours but based on the quality of service and care that they took to move everything without damaging anything, I was really happy. They also did a better job at moving a couch and chair than the original delivery guys. It's hard to find good movers who won't break the bank! Super happy with these guys.

ALSO, they promisedAre you kidding? Two Jackie Movers showed up on day requested yet apparently had not been informed by the office of what I was expecting.

I'd been to their website, and the photos led me to believe I was hiring an EXPERIENCED moving crew. The guys were nice and quick; minimal time was lost getting furniture and large items down the stairs, yet when I saw how they'd "protected" some of my most prized, delicate, Big glass Italian cabinets when unloaded at the other end in my temporary storage unit, I almost cried. ONE sheet of plastic wrap just to keep the door from closing, and NO bubble-wrap or other protection???

ALSO, the Jackie Movers office person I spoke with -- and the services on the landing page of their website -- promised to professionally accomplish, use and provide certain clothes boxes and packing materials, as needed. NADA. The crew showed-up with nothing. I gave each of the boys a $50 tip on top of the +$770 for JACKIE MOVERS, THEN inspected the state of their work. Incredibly disappointing.

I called and told them. They said they'd come out again to the storage unit and pack/wrap the precarious and fragile furnishings that OBVIOUSLY were not protected, yet I had to pay them another TRUCK FEE -- ANOTHER $155 just co come fix what they were supposed to accomplish in the first "move". I tipped the workers, anyway. It wasn't really their fault.

Sorry. I will NEVER use Jackie Movers again, nor can I recommend them. They are inexperienced, albeit efficient yet not to the standards one would expect when looking at their website nor when speaking with management at thier office.

We just used Jackie Movers for a second time. They surpassed our previous excellent rating. They called and asked if they could come early as they were finished with the move prior to our scheduled move. It certainly fit our schedule and it was great to be done earlier in the day. They did an amazing job to efficiently and safely load and unload our things. Both times we paid for 3 guys, and it is hard to beat their price. We heartily endorse Jackie Movers.

If you are looking for fast, efficient and amazing moving service look no further. I moved with my family which includes a new born baby and it was very stressful but the moving experts were exceptional. Considering the amount of stuff we had they did an amazing job loading and unloading our furniture and household items with utmost care. They also went above and beyond to help out my wife to arrange some patio furniture.

Pricing was also extremely fair for the Bay Area.

We've used this company three separate times between our moves across the Peninsula. We've always found them to be reliable, helpful, and fast. Not one item has broken in our moves! They were a little late on this last move, but made up for it by sending more guys to help get the move done faster. I would use them again and would recommend to my friends.

The worst service ever. You file a claim and no one answer the phone .

I would highly recommend them. They were very efficient and careful without stuff. Everything was wrapped and delivered in great shape!

Loved loved loved these movers. It was our first time using movers to help us relocated out of SF and they were amazing. From them being punctual, storing everything with care, nothing breaking, and moving much faster than I thought possible for a move. Would recommend and use them for another move.
