Tim sent out Joseph all the way from SF to Oakley. He was early, and started the job an hour before I could get home. He was great. He was polite, made conversation, got the job done, got paid and left. Most likely the best yelp experiences to date. five stars.

Jade Electric completed an excellent quality job for us. They replaced the main panel after an upgrade, put a subpanel into the garage and wired a few independent outlets. I am very pleased with the outcome of their work; patching was good too. Tim was easy to communicate with by text. He sent out Nikko to lead the job who was super kind and efficient with his work. They all communicated the timeline well and were able to accommodate our schedule.
I chose Jade Electric after a few quotes because their number was good and Tim was a great communicator. He took the time to answer my questions and thoroughly explained the scope of his work.

I got a new fridge, but want to keep the old fridge in the garage. When I connected to the outlet it shuts off after 15-20 mins. I didn't know what to do so I submitted a quote on Yelp.

Jade Electric stood out the most so I chose them. Tim reached out to me right away. Even though he was on a vacation, he made the time to listen to my issue. He advised to add another circuit which we agreed.

On the day of appointment, he sent out Joseph to install the circuit. It only took about a couple of hours and now the fridge is working perfectly!

I highly recommend these guys for my future electric issues.

Back in October, I received the unhappy news that SafeCo, the underwriter of my home insurance, would not be renewing my policy. I had to scramble to find another insurer and thought myself extremely fortunate when Mercury wrote a new policy for about the same amount I'd been paying SafeCo.

But then, just five or so weeks later, my new insurer informed me that they, too, would be cancelling my policy just a few weeks hence. They didn't like that the electrical subpanel in my house was of the old fuse variety, which are more likely to be implicated in fires. Mercury would only rescind the cancellation if I replaced the subpanel with a modern switch-based unit--and it had to happen fast. So once again, I found myself anxiously scrambling, this time for an electrician.

I got quotes from three guys. I found Tim Rubio of Jade Electric to be friendly and personable, and his quote came in considerably lower than the other two--less than half of the second-highest quote and only 25 percent of the highest one. Just as important, he was able to squeeze in my project right after Christmas and only two days before my insurance was due to expire. I have him to thank for the fact that the threatened cancellation of my insurance was rescinded. He really saved my bacon and I am very grateful. In a separate project, he will also be upgrading the electrical capacity of my house from 100 amps to 200 amps.

So if you're looking for an electrician, you can stop now. Tim's great, his guys are pleasant and do fast, clean work, and his rates are very competitive. I'll be going to him for all future electrical service.

Tim is a really nice guy, seems like he knows what he's doing, and took time to come over for an estimate and to discuss proposed projects. I was fully ready to work with him. Unfortunately I think he's overextended (or maybe really bad with messages) as he never sent me the estimate I was promised. After a few days I wrote asking when he'd send it. No response. Wrote again two days later. No response. So I basically wasted about 10 days between making the initial appointment and realizing he was never going to write back. One of the projects was kind of time sensitive (I ran into an issue installing my new chandelier so I had the old and new one on my living room floor plus a hole in my ceiling that whole time) which made it all worse.

We had a simple circuit breaker issue we initially couldn't solve so we called Tim who instantly messaged us through some diagnostics. It was fixed, and now I've bookmarked Tim and Jade Electric for future electrical repairs

Quoted me 3hrs to install new recessed light over tub and swap out old noisy Broan fan for a quiet Panasonic exhaust fan with humidity sensor.

Tim and Nikko show up exactly the time of our appointment and 3hrs later it was finished. I asked them if they could install an extra outlet in our other bathroom and they did that same day. I'm definitely keeping their number for future electrical needs.

Jade electric came out to my home for different jobs like exterior outlets , 220 outlet and interior recessed lighting . The pricing was very reasonable and they came to my house promptly. I was extremely satisfied with the work and attention to detail. For example , plastic was laid in my home to mitigate mess and his crew always cleans to where you would never know work was done. The employees from this company are very friendly and receptive to any questions related to the work. They came over quickly which made scheduling simple and convenient. I recommend Jade Electric to my family and friends.

Tim and his team installed our dream chandelier and we are incredibly thankfully for them. There were a few hiccups as this was a very complex project (it's a high end chandelier and over 200 pounds) but him and his team made sure the job was done beautifully. We are really happy with the final outcome.
