Jai's is my go-to for all my small engine yard and garden tools. Always satisfied with quality and cost.

The small engine shop I went to went out of business. I needed to repair a power washer so I saw Jai's mower and saw service. They took my business right away. They require a deposit for the work to be done.. They listened to my description of the problem. I was given an estimate based on the problem they found to make the repair. The deposit was also for the trouble in diagnosing the problem which would not be returned if I decided against the repair. The estimate was quite reasonable and the deposit would be used to pay for part of the repair fee. The work was done and the repair person gave me a demo confirming the repair was complete. I would strongly recommend this place for all your small engines repairs.

This family owned business is exactly what you ask for in a local service provider. I dropped off my very well-used roto tiller. 20 plus years of loyal service. It was due a full tune-up, so I figured it was going to be a bit of time. 2 days later, I got a call it was ready. WOW! Now I didn't have access to have it picked up right away, so I paid it up front and they let me keep it there until I had my friend with a truck help me get it. This is one of my favorite businesses in CV period.

Nearly 35 years in business! Nice, friendly prompt service that is willing to help explain things. I can't say much for the prices because I didn't do any prior research but it seems pretty reasonable. Small mom and pop type local business providing a variety of chainsaws, blowers, mowers, etc. located in a somewhat residential area. We'll be back for our future needs!

I bought my weed wacker in for fuel lines and tune up.
The price was very reasonable and weed wacker is like new again. Thanks for the excellent job.

Jai's is a great local mower and saw repair shop. They have worked on my tools and are always honest and understanding. Worth a call if you need something tweaked or fixed.

As the saying goes, no good deed goes unpunished. I decided to create a wildfire break between my property and an open field before fire season to protect my neighborhood. Just my luck, my John Deere riding mower hits part of a buried cyclone fence breaking these two plastic pieces that raise and lower the mower and trashed the blades too.
I did some research on a few places to bring it to be repaired and they had good reviews and close by.
After rewiring and upgrading the lights on my utility trailer, because my dog thought it was a milkbone chew toy, I brought it down to Jai's to fix it and do a complete maintenance service on it. Jai also suggested replacing the two plastic pieces that broke with metal, so it wouldn't break again.
Great suggestion and the mule now runs like new again. Happy I brought it to him and I plan on bringing several other small engine tools here in the future for needed maintenance.

They delivered on their promises. The price was exactly what was quoted, and the item was right on time. It's been purring for a couple years now, as is my stein trimmed that they also serviced. I'll never take my equipment anywhere else while I live in the Bay Area.

My 25 year old Craftsman lawn mower won't idle. Due to the fact that I'm mechanically deficient, I called around to find a repair shop. I called a few places and they wanted a lot of money for estimate and/or repair. I called Jay's mower and their price was lower. I gave them a try even though they were 15 miles away in Castro Valley. Repairman came out to greet me and unloaded the lawn mower for me. The boss lady was super nice and friendly. My mower was fixed in a few days. They cleaned my mower up, rebuilt the carb, changed the plug and oil. I was very impress with their service. I strongly recommend this place.
