Q:
Are they gluten free friendly?
A:
I know that rice, rice noodles and tofu are gluten free naturally but as for what they put into making the dishes I'm not entirely sure. They may know if you ask them. Good Luck!

We were lucky to discover this little gem. We ordered the beef chow fun and it was truly delicious. The hand-made noodles really elevated the dish and the beef was flavorful and tender. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely make it a priority to stop there again.

I'm so happy we have this place in our hood! We've been getting their beef chow fun and house fried rice for years. Then my husband and I eat off of it for a couple days since the portions are huge. The owners are awesome and the food is the best! This place is just for take out, fyi.

I was intrigued by the reviews of this establishment and the high food ratings. We walked in and there was only standing room due to boxes. The space wasn't as inviting as it could be. The was a bell to ring to get the employees attention from the kitchen. We rang the bell and were assisted quickly. The woman who helped us was very kind and greeted us, talked with my daughters and shared about her children.
We ordered the orange chicken and beef chow fun. She let us know she would bring it out to us at my car. She brought the food out to be about 15 minutes later and handed me a very heavy bag.
We got home and yes, BIG portions. The orange chicken was good. The chicken was tender and the sauce had good taste. The beef chow fun was excellent! Lots of veggies and tender beef.
I would definitely return when in the area.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Alma S.Kailua-Kona, HI52328Aug 3, 2024
So good! Tasty, delicious, best noodles we have had! Don't let the small location with lots of boxes inside scare you off.

Everything is made from scratch! As a Cantonese home cook, love their ho fun by the pound and soy milk if needed. I got a lb and went home to cook it with my homemade dumplings. Their fried rice and beef choy fun is also the best in the area (big portions too!). Love this little hole in the wall!

Stopped by for lunch takeout recently. One really kind employee took my order and made my food. She even brought it out to my car when it was ready since there is no seating whatsoever. Instead, the interior is packed with supplies from floor to ceiling. You can catch a glimpse of the machinery and steam in the back kitchen.
A couple of parking spots in front and a couple more in back. Street parking in the neighborhood behind the store also works.
I got the veggie tofu chow fun for $19. It was totally delicious and big enough to share!
I would love to come back here to buy rice noodles or tofu in bulk. Their prices look reasonable and I feel like they've got good quality. Now I just gotta work on my cooking skills (or lack thereof).Helpful 14Thanks 2Love this 8Oh no 0 - Jan 6, 2024
Solid joint for some home made noodles. Each time I'm visiting, this is a must pit stop. Grab some noodles and tofu to go. No inside seating and a small parking lot, but you can tell from the quality of food to see a lot of orders and their noodles making into the local grocery shop. You can order in advance, otherwise it will take anywhere from 15-30 mins depending on how busy they are. If you like the noodles by themselves, they also have those to go.

Finding this place has made me so happy! I've begun to despair recently that I'll never love restaurants here like I did in LA. We've found our noodle outlet! Try not to let the stacks of boxes and grain bags lain all over the entrance, the empty display case or the lack of a vigilant counter guardian discourage you. Ring the bell and someone friendly will come. One of the several people waiting let us know.
One of my coworkers backed out of our plan to eat here based on the prices ($18 - 19) but the more adventurous one and me carried on. I, a house chow mein, which took a little repetition to emphasize that I did mean the yellow wheat noodles which are not the type they make in house. My adventurer colleague opted for the house made ones in his chow mein that are made of rice and wide. My order took longer probably because I didn't stick to the mainstream ordering scheme, but both of us felt rewarded by our visit. Noodles are amazingly fresh, house made or no, with plenty of bok choy, onion, broccoli, cauliflower, shrimp, pork and chicken. Flavorful soy-based sauce, lacking the pool of oil I typically meet at the bottom of a bowl of local noodles.
The parking is limited, as they say. There were three spots in front and didn't get a chance to check the back which a sign indicates there are allegedly more. The menu is also limited to a few items including chow fun, chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, mongolian beef and one or two more, but this is meant to be a stop for your fresh noodle needs. A delivery man came in all the way from Salem to pick up noodles for their restaurant. We were impressed by the loyalty of their customers and both of my coworkers, including the one that ordered nothing, swore they'd both return for fresh noodles for cooking. :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 5, 2023
We were in the area and randomly stumbled upon JC Rice noodle shop. The vibe of the restaurant was more of a takeout spot and service was fast! We ordered over the phone for a combination chow fun and a soy milk. Honestly very pleasantly surprised! The food was fresh and hot! It came with a decent amount of veggies and combination of meat/shrimp. The soy milk also tasted homemade and refreshing! Overall, we enjoyed the meal and one dish was enough to feed two people! What a good value meal!
