JF Electrical

This was one of the easiest renovation projects we've done with outside help, and it's entirely thanks to Josh.

When I asked for a quote for adding 2 wall sconces to an inner wall in our suite, he was quick to respond with a ballpark based on the info I provided and offered to come take a look. He popped round the next day (and arrived 5 minutes before the agreed upon time) and later that same day had a quote out to me.

We agreed on the quote and the very next day he came to do the work. Again, he arrived about 5 minutes early, at 8:25AM and was done by 10:45AM. Packed up and gone in less than 3 hours!

When he arrived to do the work he was friendly, easy to talk to, and conscientious of my home (rolling up the rug to not get drywall dust on it). He even made the drywall cuts low down where we could hide them with the TV so as to not make the patching glaringly obvious. When he was done he screwed the drywall back in - something I wasn't expecting (he had told me I'd need to get someone to do the drywall repairs, but I plan to do them myself). As an electrician, I expected him to do the electrical and be done with it, so I was pleasantly surprised that he took the little extra time to put the drywall back (correctly using drywall screws and screwing into the studs). I watched his work and while I'm no expert, from the little knowledge I have of building electrical standards he was right up to code.

Honestly, this entire experience was an absolute pleasure. He was quick to respond, he quoted accurately and didn't exceed, he showed up on time (early even!) and he did exactly what I asked of him, then went a little step further on top. Any future electrical work I have on our place I will absolutely be giving to Josh.

Josh is a great guy. He's friendly, quick to respond, he gave an accurate estimate, and he arrived well on time. Him and his partner did an excellent job, working very efficiently to replace 5 fixtures within 1.5 hours. Josh was also very thoughtful when installing my corded pendant fixtures, making sure I was happy with the length and appearance of the cord, as I was having them swagged. I really appreciate that he was able to maintain the extra cord length for re-adjustment or reinstallation in the future.

Overall, really pleased with the quality of work and the service! I will definitely reach out to him next time.

I called my regular ELECTRICIAN but after no response I searched google directory and found J F Electrical inc. I called and Josh answered
made an suggested time of arrival and promised to call me to keep me apprised. He did. He called a couple of times to give later ETAs as he was on a job that was going longer. I was in trades too and am aware that jobs can get complicated. What I really liked was that he called and kept his word.
When he arrived he was friendly, open and a pleasure to work with. He fixed my problem which ran on longer than we thought, charged a fair price, cleaned up after himself and said thanks for the work.
Paying him was simple. The job was done very well. He was a good man all round. I will use him next time.

Josh came to my elderly mother's Victoria home, on short notice, to service her electrical panel. He was prompt and very professional. The quote for the service was accurate. The final cost was very reasonable. I recommend J F Electrical without reservation.

We hired JF Electrical as our electrical sub-contractor to provide a complete removal of the existing electrical system and a new one put in. Josh also upgraded the existing 100 amp service to a new 200 amp service. He was very understanding of the clients needs and performed on schedule and budget for this challenging project. I look forward with working with JF Electrical / Josh on our next major project.
