I blew a tire on the highway. While waiting for AAA I googled the closest garage/mechanic, and based on the reviews and proximity I gave John's a call. The woman who answered the phone was super nice, talked me through how to look for my tire size, and looked to see if they had one in stock- all on the first call since I was in a precarious situation on a median off a busy highway speed merge. I eventually made it to them and they squeezed me into their busy day, repaired the flat on the spot, and patched it instead of upselling me a new tire. The mechanic was fantastic and friendly, the office was also professional and friendly- and you can tell it's a busy place with a long-time solid reputation. Made it back to NYC on my "new" tire and after my first affordable visit to a mechanic lol, I can't rave about them enough! Thanks John's Auto Care for your help today :)

I needed my car evaluated to see if it needed more work. Mark looked it over and gave me a honest, clear explanation of the state of my car and what I would need in the future. It was my first time there and I will be back.

Wow! This business is fantastic start to finish with a lot of kindness, care and detail added. I needed my muffler clamp welded as Syracuse streets beat it up till it broke. My son suggested John's as he knows Matt Hallowell, who welds there. (I'll just say Matt makes welding an art form, and he put the factory to shame! When I called the nice gal scheduled me within 2 days of my call, accommodating my appointments and job schedule and helping me to make it happen. We all have those days when the juggle is a struggle, but she made it easy! I overheard a few conversations while dropping off and picking up and I can honestly say everyone goes out of their way to accommodate need, budget, and the people, while providing quality products and service. After all of that, with CDC guidelines they also do more than most. Sanitizing is done constantly in the office, in your car, the pen you sign with the door handles and areas people touch, etc. My car even had a steering wheel cover on it so I know they took care to keep me safe and healthy. I highly recommend them for whatever automotive needs you have. My son is an automotive technician, but if he is not able to take care of my car, I know where I'm going!!

I returned here, 2-3 years after posting the glowing 2017 review that appears below, and had them rustproof a brand new vehicle.

Krown dealers are supposed to provide a written warranty, but John's office staff wasn't even aware of it. That certificate is very helpful, because Krown covers new vehicles forever if you meet the criteria, spelled out in that warranty.

Upon checking with Krown rustproofing's home office, they contacted John and were willing to provide my warranty certificate. Unfortunately, John refused. Rather than do as Krown suggested, he refunded my money.

Now I have to go elsewhere to have the vehicle rustproofed all over again in order to get that certificate and maintain the warranty. Fortunately, I've learned that other Krown vendors are better. In addition to providing the certificate, they also charge significantly less to clean the car before rustproofing it.

So,
If you decide to get your vehicle rustproofed:
1-Get a copy of the warranty, and
2-Check around for prices. Apparently the same product/service is available locally for less money.

These folks are top notch. The staff are friendly, courteous, efficient and honest. It was easy to schedule an appointment and the estimated time to complete service was spot on. The shop is incredibly clean and neat, and the customer lounge is very clean and comfortable to wait in while your vehicle is serviced. Prices are very fair and there are no surprises. I highly recommend them for all your automotive maintenance, vehicle rustproofing, and repair needs.

I came here initially for the Krown Rust Proofing, however the service was so outstanding I decided to come back for routine automotive work as well. The staff are always friendly, prompt, and very knowledgeable. The waiting area is always clean and comfortable and rivals most dealers in the area.

I had wife's Traverse detailed inside and out. Keith did a great job. He exceeded our expectations. The vehicle was clean, highly polished, and delivered on time. He was even able to buff out a couple of light scratches in the paint. The overall experience was an exceptional one. Having dealt with other shops in the area that specialize in detailing, and not being overly impressed, it was refreshing to have a vehicle and sales experience that was positive and made my wife happy when she saw her car.
