Johnson & Daly Moving and Storage

Johnson & Daly handled our move within San Francisco. The owner came out in person to look at our stuff and to provide an estimate. The proposal was realistic and it set accurate expectations based on logistics, etc.

The move itself went very smoothly and I actually enjoyed working with the crew. They were very upfront, professional, careful and fun! There has only been one ridiculously small incident: A drawer fell on new softwood flooring, leaving a barely noticeable mark. This is nothing considering the size and complexity of the move, and I am only mentioning it to provide a complete review.

I really appreciated the crew's flexibility. They happily held off on placing furniture at our new place until I was able to apply anti-scratch pads underneath every single item. They also allowed me to evaluate space constraints at our new place on the go and they took the items that did not fit into storage.

I did not request any other quotes, so I cannot compare pricing. I have the feeling that Johnson & Daly may be in the upper bucket, but at the very least this speaks to their honesty and professionalism. In the end it came out 20% cheaper, because they were such a well-oiled machine.

The only suggestion I would have is to offer parking permit handling as well. I had to do this myself and it represented an extra task on my plate during stressful times. It ended up being better this way though, because I had to pull an extended permit to accommodate a stager as well.

All in all we have been very, very happy and I would definitely consider Johnson & Daly again.

The day of the move Victor and Tito showed up on time, worked quickly, efficiently, and with great care.

I not only recommend this company, I am definitely using them again!

send to another country others boxes and broke part of our belongings
after 6 months they offer after filling forms files so many times 300 usd ...

Johnson & Daly came by to pick up pallets of retired equipment and was met with utmost professionalism and results. They were punctual and respectful during the whole process.

During our appointment, we ran into an issue where the boxes we originally packed needed to be returned, even after they were shrink wrapped and loaded into the truck. Rolando and the accompanying crew didn't show an ounce of irritation and proceeded to move the equipment into new boxes. Goes to show the quality and care they provide when working with their customers.

Great communication and wonderful quality moving and packing. Replaced one glass shelf they accidentally broke. Result-Cabinet was good as new.

Victor, Carlos, and Christian...great movers, especially on a hot July day in Marin, stairs to climb and 200 feet of all size boxes and so much stuff, they were good humored and quick. Came to our storage unit right on time and had us in our new home in about 5 hours....we all were happy and recommend them!! Great moving company in Marin. I must add, Carlos amazed me with the amount of boxes he carried at one time up a flight of steps...he was amazing.

Phew what a move! The two young men, Julian and Michael, that moved us from Sonoma County to Lake County took such care of our furniture and personal items. Having moved now 3 times in 18 months I have a true perspective. The other companies broke our things - not the case here! I cannot say enough. I highly recommend - you won't be disappointed!

I used Johnson and Daly last week and my experience was great. They showed up on time with the right size crew and all the materials needed to keep my furniture safe from damage. They had some extra boxes on the truck for us and even helped us pack..
At the end their price was right at what the bid was, no surprises just professional service.

I used Johnson & Daly when I sold my SF house during lockdown, and they stored my stuff until I moved into my Sausalito fixer-upper several months later. Last year when I got my building permit for what has turned into an over-one-year renovation, I didn't consider any other moving/storage company. Today's move into my house went really smoothly. Julien and Henry (who remembered my now-gone loft with the steep narrow stairs) were great communicators and everything you'd want in a moving team. I hope I never move again, but I'd use Johnson & Daly if I do.

I cannot rave enough about our experience moving from Sausalito to St. Helena with Johnson & Daly, and specifically about Luis, Victor, Henry, and Will. The ease of which they moved some of our more daunting items (like a 4-5 foot tall wine fridge!) was seriously impressive. Even more impressive was how friendly and careful they were during the entirety of the stressful (for me!) move. Plus, the celebratory bottle of bubbles to commemorate the start of our new adventure was a very appreciated touch.

Veronica and Michael helped us on the admin side of things and Michael even came out prior to our move day to scope our items to give us a proper estimate, and his estimate was pretty spot on. I loved how transparent they were with pricing so there were no unpleasant surprises on moving day.

I can't recommend Johnson & Daly enough!
