I accompanied my husband to this Kaiser South Francisco for a consultation with Dr. Millender on September 11, 2023.

Due to my husband's illness, he had an MRI done. Thereafter, he and I were given notice for appointments on September 18, 19 & 20 for three radiation treatments.

The first two appointments went as scheduled. EMT (Emergency Medical Transport) arrived at Crown Bay and provided transportation. Today (9/20/2023) my husband and I waited for EMT to arrive around 8:30 AM. Apparently, Crown Bay messed up and had him scheduled for pickup at 9:30 AM.

Since the staff at Crown Bay could not reach somebody at Kaiser, I called them myself and was able to talk to a staff member.

Thanks to the staff member for talking to the therapist. Kaiser will accommodate us with a late appointment and treat my husband. Besides taking care of this issue, I appreciate the kindness, compassion and understanding of the hospital staff in helping and serving the public. Again, allow me to mention they are the best and wonderful people to be so accommodating.

All of the staff here is beyond amazing from the moment you go in until you leave. Getting dealt the cancer card sucks and a journey no one should go on. The staff understands this, and it shows. Treatment sessions are fast and efficient so you can have some normalcy in your day and life. Thank you to Justin, Merlinda and Dr. Song for making treatment go as smoothly as possible.

What a great facility - clean, spacious and open. An abundance of natural lighting. It makes the experience of having to go, or accompany someone, for radiation treatment much more tolerable. I compare this to the radiation therapy facility my mother visited in the early 90's and am thankful my father's experience will be so much better.

And it's not all about aesthetics here. Everyone is so friendly. It's extremely heart-warming. We're very happy with his treatments here and I hope many others are fortunate enough to utilize this facility if they are in need of radiation therapy.

      Other notes:
      - cafe area with free coffee & other beverages.
      - free crossword puzzle & word find sheets!

Entrance off Oyster Point Blvd. this is the only entrance in to the facility parking lot.
Such a tease. The doors to this zen space are locked.

They treated me for cancer on my tonsil and lymph nodes. At this facility which collaborates with Stanford medical center I found it outstanding. I can not necessarily say this about all of Kaiser. They had everything completely designed around the best of care, the way all resources are integrated within the facility were absolutely outstanding. I would not have chosen any other facility for my radiology needs. I rated the oyster point facility a strong 10 out of 10.

I was diagnosed August of last year with Stage 2 prostate cancer and my PSA was 14. After a series of tests, my urologists informed me that my prostate cancer was the aggressive type
and I was given the option of robotic surgery or radiation therapy. I opted for the second since surgery means I have to go to Kaiser Permanente which is in Santa Clara and I will have to stay overnight which to me is not convenient. I chose radiation therapy even though it meant I have to go to their cancer treatment facility at Oyster Point Boulevard which is just 15 minutes from my place. I underwent radiation treatment for 5 weeks (whole month of May until the first week of June 2015). September, my urologist called me and told me I had to have my PSA checked again. After a few days, I got a call from my urologist and informed me that my PSA was down to 3 from the previous 14 which meant that I was practically cancer-free. Another blood test in March of next year will tell if my cancer is completely cured. I thank the medical staff at Kaiser Hospital for giving me a new lease on life.
