Kal Tire

I'm another customer grand-fathered from Urban Garage. They kept my summer wheels through rebranding, COVID, and me being sick for another year. I thought the wheels are lost for sure, but they found them, got in touch with me, and all is good. I finally got around to replace the summers. There was a bit of mix-up in tire ordering (all-seasons got brought in instead of summers), but everything was resolved fast, without problems, and at no cost to me. Mix-ups happen, it's how you deal with them which is important. Thanks a lot for positive experience!

I dropped some loose tires/rims off and was pleasantly surprised when they phoned me with an early install time, but took an hour and half to just remove and install .
They forgot to install my lock nuts and left the sealant lube on my new tires/rims.
I should have waited for the cache creek location they rock up there!

Got a low-pressure warning in my vehicle, spouse suggested taking it to get it inspected. This was the closest location to us at the time (traveling from the US), we stopped on in, tech quickly found a nail in the rear right tire. Scheduled an appointment later that day, repair took reasonable amount of time, and was priced right.

Couldn't help but notice the courtesy extended to myself and other customers while waiting for a repair. Opened a door for an older lady, tried to fit in many customers into ad-hoc openings (that day had a number of tire repair inquiries).

Would recommend again.

I can't say enough positive things about Scott and his team. It's a long story and would probably bore you so I will just say that I have never experienced better customer service anywhere and I will trust this team with my car for as long as I am driving. I've had rough times with car repair shops in the past and none of that was present here. Do yourself a favour and make this your go to place for all your car's health needs!

Okay, these guys are rock stars! They have been taking care of our 2-Mercedes, our Pathfinder and my mom's Lexus for years. Honest, reasonable, genuinely considerate and they keep their promises. What more could you possibly want?

Kudos to Gord, Owen, Jake and the rest of the guys...keep up the great work!

I have been taking my car to them for tire change over for the past three years and it always takes 45 min with advanced online booking. Last time, when I dropped off my car, there was new guy, Mario, and he told me it takes 90 min! When I complained that I had plans afterwards and have to get my car in 60min, he was very unsympathetic! Later I found out that they were busy and overbooked. Why not just be honest and apologize for running behind instead of insisting that this is the norm?
I had to return the following week for the same service, booked online again. Interestingly, the calendar reminder that they send you is for 60 min only. I had an appointment but had to stand in line up for 20 min as other people without appointment walked in before me. What is the point of having an appointment? I overheard one of their staff saying to another customer that change over takes 45 to 60 min. When it was my turn, I got Mario again who of course recognized me and told me it will take 90 min. My car was ready in 45min as always. I will never take my car to them again!

This is my second visit at this Kal Tire for a tire repair. Two other Kal Tire dealers were not very good about confirming whether or not they could help me and left me on hold on the phone for over 10 minutes each!!! I finally hung up and visited this location the next day, driving in to see if they had time for me.
They came to the rescue again! They got my vehicle right away, fixed the leak and got me back on the road in about 40 mins!!! And the charge was very small too!
Thank you Kal Tire! This was very appreciated and I will visit this location when looking for my next set of tires!

I am rarely "Wowed" by customer service, but Kal Tire you just blew me away!

I picked the worst possible week to get a puncture in my tire, it's been snowing like mad and every one is scrambling around trying to get snow tires. Every tire place was fully booked. No one would help, Canadian Tire is now dead to me. But Kal Tire saved the day, and with a smile no less.

I went here to buy new tires. But . . . . not a good place for women. A young sales clerk (I'm mature) talked down to me. Didn't listen. Tried to sell me what I didn't need.
Didn't keep me on board. It's my money, you need to respect me. I guess they don't need my business. Not helpful.
Yes, this is just one young guy who is not a good salesman. Others may be better, but 'Ouch'. Doesn't feel good.

On vacation in Vancouver, drove from Southern California. Noticed an air leak in my right rear tire while in Oregon. Refilled it, drove on.

Arrived in Vancouver, tire pressure light went off. 6lbs low. Refilled and made it to hotel. Checked online for nearest Firestone and found Kal Tire right around the corner on Marine Drive from Best Western where I was staying.

Brought it in Thursday morning as they opened, Scott helped set me up for a check and repair. Said about half an hour.

Scott was spot on. Got the call, found a nail in my tire. Patched the hole, air pressure check good to go. Picked up the car, no charge. Asked to bring it back for a torque check later that day. I did, done in minutes.

For a traveler away from home finding a professional source for a car related repair is priceless.

Would recommend Kal Tire for all your tire service needs. Staff is efficient, professional, friendly. Well done Kal Tire!!!!!
