Kan Kiin Eatery has a thai fusion vibe nestled in the heart if Daly City. This is the kind of place you don't expect to find in a strip mall. This Daly City spot is shaking up the Thai food scene with its seriously good brunch and dinner menu. It's like your favorite Thai takeout got a fancy upgrade. Now it's gotten in the Michelin guide, definitely hit it up before lines get too long.
Their brunch game is on point. The Hat Yai Chicken and Waffles is pure genius - crispy chicken with a Thai twist, stacked on fluffy waffles and drizzled with a sweet and spicy sauce. It's the kind of dish that will make you rethink your brunch plans.

The menu is has plenty of selection but with every dish showing off the chef's skills. The Kan KIIN French toast is delicious as well as the luscious corn cake crab Benedict.

If you're craving classic Thai flavors, don't worry, they've got you covered. The drunken noodle (Pad Kee Mao) is packed with flavor. And the Khao Soi? This Northern Thai noodle soup is comfort food at its finest.

Kan Kiin has a chill vibe that's perfect for a casual hang with friends or a low-key date night. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help you pick the perfect dish.
If you're looking for a fresh take on Thai food, Kan Kiin Eatery is an absolute must-try. Trust us, your taste buds will thank you.

Amazing food, great service, and clean.

My childhood friend and I went here for a late lunch. We ordered the chicken and waffles, house special porridge, and Thai eggs Benedict.

I can't wait to come back with my family.

      Seated via Yelp Reservations

I've been here twice and enjoyed both times. The customer service is great--they're very attentive, and the interior decor is beautiful. The presentation is also gorgeous, and the portions are big with a decent-sized menu. However, parking is tough on weekends, which can be frustrating.

Overall, while the food is good, it's not particularly memorable. It's a nice spot to visit, but while the flavors are decent, nothing stands out as exceptional enough to crave, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. Still, it's worth a try!

This place was super busy and probably had to wait half an hour to get a table. We were seated very quickly and the staff were nice but the food took super long to come out. They probably wanted everything to come out at once, which did. The porridge had a Tom yum mix in it that I was not use to, but the crispy pork was good. The steak and fried rice were just okay because the steak was way too salty. My favorite part of this meal was the matcha pancake, it was fluffy, sweet but not too sweet

Definitely one of the more unique brunch places I've tried!

We dropped in around 11:20 am for a table of 2 on a Saturday. The wait was only about 10-15 minutes before we were seated at a larger table with notice we may have to share a table with another party. But within 5 minutes of discussing the menu, a table opened up and we were able to move to a table of our own.

      What we got:
      - Corn Fritters~ definitely a great appetizer for the table. I recommend dipping this into maple syrup from another dish to add extra sweetness to pair with the corn.
      - "hat yai" Fried chicken and vanilla waffle~ Similar to a regular chicken and waffle, this dish did not miss. The fried chicken was flavorful from the extra seasoning. Crispy and juicy.
      - Crispy Pork Belly Porridge Jok~ This dish was unique. The tom yum flavor shines through and the pork belly retains its crispiness despite being in porridge. Unfortunately, the fried dough wasn't as fluffy as I expected it. Note: The dish is definitely on the thicker side. For those who prefer a thinner jok, this may not be the dish for you.

All in all, this place was decently unique compared to all the typical modern Asian brunch places in the bay. Will return to try other dishes that also caught my eye!

I came here because my friend desperately has been wanting to try this place. I was hesitant because of the mixed reviews, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and can't wait to come back for brunch. The food came out quick and was full of flavor.

The space is airy and beautiful with hanging plants and mirrors along the walls. The two servers were extremely patient and friendly with me when I couldn't decide what to order.

Looks at the pics....thats what you should definitely get : P

I went on a Saturday at 10:15am and half of the place was already full! The staff were very attentive and the ambiance was modern, clean, and aesthetically pleasing.

      What we ordered:
*Chicken Wings - a must! The batter is light but it's crispy and seasoned very well. The sauce is very uniquely Thai - really reminds me of Thailand :) It tastes like a garlicky infused syrup that's slightly tangy
*Golden Pork - also a uniquely Thai flavor. It tastes like a stewed pork and boiled egg dish called "pa lo." It was a little too salty and sweet on its own but with a bowl of rice, this dish would have been 10/10
*Tom Yum Jok (congee) - this dish was a miss unfortunately :( the Chinese donut (called "pa tong go") in Thai was deliciously crispy on the outside, fluffy and soft on the inside. However, the jok was sour and bland. It tasted like plain congee with a bit of vinegar. Tom Yum is sour, but I feel like it's also umami and salty, and the jok was missing that umami/salty factor. I think those flavors are what make jok/congee so comforting.

I'd still come back because other dishes look yummy (and for the chicken wings hehe)

Parking here is a nightmare! It's right in the middle of a bunch of restaurants, shopping centers, and residential areas. I came here with some friends after spotting a post about it on Instagram, and honestly, it turned out to be one of those places that look better than they taste.

The menu is huge, with lots of options to choose from. But the service? So slow. It took about 20 minutes just to get my matcha drink. And the pork belly benedict? Totally not what I expected. It was just a huge slice of pork belly, not even crispy, and everything else was just kind of thrown on the side.

On the plus side, the portions are massive--we all had leftovers to take home. But nothing we ordered really stood out, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars, plus the slow service didn't help.

I came here for brunch with my nieces. It was a very nice and clean place to eat. The wait staff was helpful and patient.

The classic Benedict was okay but what's great is that the egg was not overcooked. I think I should've something a bit more special but it was not bad.

My nieces really liked the porridge and the scramble bacon egg. The sizes were very generous and the drinks were delicious.

Great option for brunch in Daly City. I'm a sucker for Asian inspired brunches. I ordered the Jok Crispy Pork Belly. This was a hot porridge - great for Daly City's usual fog and cold weather. I also shared the American Fried Rice and matcha buttermilk pancakes with my friend and everything was so scrumptious. Definitely a must try for brunch enthusiasts.

Parking is always a challenge in this area as it is so close to other establishments.
