Ok... so like almost everyone else, I wish I could give ZERO or MINUS star rating.

Answered the door (first mistake) to a personable young Indian/American gentleman wanting to do an in home demonstration on carpet cleaning using their dry foam technology..... No mention of company, but in hindsight the clues were there.

Would NOT take "no" for an answer. After 15 minutes he finally guilted me into a "yes" saying that he doesn't get paid unless he demonstrated the service. Gave evasive answers on how this worked etc.

When I finally relented, he stated he would just go and get his Kirby equipment. Before I had a chance to say anything, he was off.

Within 5 minutes a van with 2 men pulled up out the front. My husband had just got home from work in SF so the garage door was still open. The older of the two marched up with a huge box.

He introduced himself as "Sean" and told me the name of the other guy was Joe and he would be demonstrating.

They set up in the lounge room. What happened then was 2.5 hours of the most intense high-pressure sales tactics I have ever seen.

I am an ex retail manager, and an ex sales rep, so I know high pressure when I see it. I told them, over and over that I was NOT interested in a $3000 vacuum cleaner. NOTHING I said was listened to, or respected.

Once they were in I was a captive audience for the total kirby bs package put on by this sales assistant.

He feigned surprise that I could be resistant to the charm of the kirby. He tried every tactic under the sun to get me to buy a machine. He rang his head office twice, once to sign up for his entry to a competition for a trip to San Francisco, because he was that confident I would buy.

The second time was to get the office staff to cut me a deal, and want to discuss my credit, even though i had stated approx 50 times that I WAS NOT INTERESTED.

Then Supervisor Sean visitted 3 times during the demonstration, to check on the rep and apply some pressure of his own.

      None of this worked.

The machine is incredible. As I said to them, I may consider one in the future, just not now. Even with a full explaination of why, they still did not give up.

Pushing towards the 3rd hour, I just wanted these people gone. Any interest I had in getting a kirby in the future was long gone.

I refuse to support a company that uses such nasty, manipulate, and invasive sales tactics.

A pity, because the product is good.

The sales tactics and constant pressure are just too much, and totally unwarranted and unappreciated.

I was impressed by the demonstration, in the initial half an hour. I lost interest when the sales assistant repeatedly showed no respect for my family, our circumstances, and insisted on demonstrating everything, even after being told I did not want to see it.

Someone else said it best: "holy hell.... keep the doors closed people."

The service person was very nice. They listened to my concerns. They fixed the problem fast and did not try to upsell me on a bigger problem. There cost was very reasonable. I would definitely take my Kirby here for service again. I would give them 6 stars if possible.

I know absolutely nothing about Kirby vacuums. The new hubby grew up with them and so because i insisted on shampooing the carpets (FYI - I hate carpet!) before I moved any more furniture into new house, husband borrowed mother in law's Kirby. The nearest open store to buy the shampoo was this one. We drove about 48 miles to it ... the address on google is incorrect. Correct address is: 3769 Peralta Blvd. suite D Fremont, CA 94536.

We didn't know this at the time and after being unable to find the store in the shopping center google sent us to, called the store. Nice lady answered and gave us new address and said she would keep Store open and wait for us despite being closing time.

      We were late past closing.

We got the shampoo and she kindly gave helpful advise on how best to use it, also provided us with an attachment the husband wanted at no cost because it was used but in great shape.

I could not be happier with the kind helpfulness we received! Now the Kirby .... I'm still on the fence about.

This is my go to place. I have 3 kirby vacuums. These are very expensive to purchase normally so it is great to have store that repairs the vacuums and also sells refurbished. We have done both a few times over the past 15 years. But we are a business and use them industriously.

Good service so far. I have bought vacuum bags, belt and fragrance. Recently my 11 year old vacuum needed repair and cleaning they fixed it in less than 2 days. If you own a Kirby this is the place to go or are looking to buy one. I recommend this place.

Biggest scam yet from Kirby and wasted 2 hours of my life. Yeah my carpet is clean and vacuum for free, but they left a mess in my place with the circular disks they left behind and the sand I had to pick up. I felt they were very pushy and rude for the most part and tried to sell me a $3295 vacuum. They kept on wanting my credit card for the most part.

I almost bought one, but they kept on being very pushy and rude and giving me sad stories and giving me the guilt trip. Anyways great liars, but good thing I did not waste my money on a vacuum. They told me if I was smart I would buy one and it is a lifetime investment. But I was smart and looked up the price and I found the same model for $500 dollars. Anyways I was able to get the price down to $1000 dollars, but still a lot for a vacuum.

Unfortunately they got my address and wanted other things like the SSN so they can do a credit check report. Do not give it to them for sure. But yeah I would not buy one for sure from them. Anyways I asked for their business card, but they told me no and that means I will not buy one.

Had to fix some issue with my 18 year old Kirby. I called them and told them what the issue was. Had googled to see what part needs to be changed and how much, so had an approximate idea of what it would cost. Their price was in line with my expectation. They told they had spare parts of what I wanted in stock. So got it fixed the same day. No surprises!

They sound like they were a cleaning service doing presentations, but they are out to sell the Kirby vacuum. The vacuum itself is very nice, but $2000 to $3000 is a very ambitious price, to put it softly. The sales people stayed here a long time (little over 2hrs and then I kicked them out), and used almost every trick in the book, but they weren't the hardest people to deal with (the guy did sit on my couch without asking me and they laid things all over my daughter's play mat which I told them not to). When I mentioned to him that it might be beneficial for them to change their sale strategy, he said "Our technique works, would Kirby be going strong for 100 years otherwise?" LOL, Buddy, Kirby sells because it's a darn good machine, with this level of marketing skills I'm surprised it actually is still alive on the market.

Might I add that in the beginning of the presentation one of their rubber band in the vacuum head came off and left two black streak marks on our carpet that 's not going away. I didn't want them to stay any longer so I just let them go, I did mention it but he said nothing, for a change.

...Man I'd really like a Kirby, maybe I''ll even purchase one down the road, but I will not let any of these people come in to my house EVER again.

Black streak they left on my carpet :D

Worst company everrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! Amir Shagafi is a scam artist who sets it up where his main people dont help indian family's because they wont buy a vacuum but the person who scheduled appointment should get credit for that client and still do vaccuum presentation to hit their 60 presentation per month goal. The main people only get paid to sell thats why they deny indian family and don't waste time. So therefore whoever sets appointment by knocking on the door never gets credit for it and never gets paid at end of month..
