All-American greatness abounds at Kirk's Steakburgers, a Silicon Valley tradition stretching all the way back to 1948. While much has changed over the years, Kirk's remains a constant -- a place to kick back and enjoy a meal with family and colleagues. If you can't grab a seat in the cozy dining room, head outdoors and soak in some of the beautiful Campbell weather on the patio. You can grab something to go too, because at Kirk's, it's all about the food. Each and every burger coming out of the kitchen is cooked over real charcoal, imparting fantastic flavor that is hard to top. Of course, it's prepared just the way you like, even if rare is your go-to meat setting. After you select a size and cooked-to preference, the fun really begins as you choose from a multitude of condiments and upgrades, allowing you to build your burger in thousands of different ways. These world-class burgers also come in signature creations like the avocado bacon, mushroom Swiss, and the sriracha pineapple. Throw in a bunch of equally tasty fries and sides, a few frankfurters, and sandwiches like the flat iron steak or Maui BBQ chicken, and there's no chance you're leaving Kirk's hungry. You can always enjoy a draft beer or glass of wine, but the shakes and malts are hard to pass up, especially with flavors like toffee, butter rum, banana and mocha.

I do not think so because they use a butcher, you may want to contact them directly. My husband and I always enjoy our meals there as the quality is always very good!

Apr 8, 2022Solid burger place with a thicker and beefier patty in a simpler burger. While the burgers as a whole could be better, the patties were quite flavorful and the fries were pretty darn good. All things considered, the price point is pretty good, but I feel like you're better off getting more burger than adding more toppings (it didn't seem like their described condiment bar was available in what I assume was a COVID casualty).
Be sure to check for the yelp check-in coupon for a free burger with purchase, as I missed it myself.
Kirk's has it's own private parking with plenty of parking, so getting in was pretty straightforward. Lots of first-come-first-serve seating for both indoor and outdoor seating. You head in to order up front first and get a ticket number that gets called out; the shake was handed to us at our table a bit later by waitstaff though. Service was quite friendly and prompt; though we didn't interact too much I did get a cozy feel from waitstaff.
I split a Pineapple Bacon burger and a Sourdough burger with my brother, as well as shared the (slightly out-of-season) pumpkin spice milkshake and a medium garlic parm fries. It was not as much food as I'd have thought, but I do note that the patties were particularly intensely "beefy" in their flavor. I can see letting the beef stand on its own, but I feel like it needed a bit more help or seasoning in this case. The sourdough wasn't toasted and was a bit dry, toppings were a bit light (albeit fresh), and the burger overall wasn't too juicy. The pineapple bacon burger was a bit better in this regard, but still a bit lacking. This might come down to burger prep preference and there's no denying the good value in the food, but I wasn't personally blown away by the burgers. If the opportunity arises, I'd be inclined to try something like the Big Kirk or Triple Double instead of their signature burgers though.
That said, the thick-cut fries were *delicious* and had a lovely crisp and aroma to them. The garlic parm was a nice decadent topping to have and they didn't go too heavy on the garlic and had a nice fragrant olive oil to boot. Definitely worth the add-on! The milkshake was also very creamy, though perhaps a bit too thick for the straw for most of the meal (I would never complain about pumpkin spice in spring though).

Aug 27, 20241 check-inI heard this spot has one of the best burgers in the bay. I had to check it out for myself to see if it was true. My first time here and it was delicious. The burger was super juicy and I was craving more. I had the mushroom and swiss and wow!!! I understand why it was one of the signature burgers. If you are a mushroom lover, this burger is for you.
The service was nice. They are very quick and will get your burgers to you. The ambiance is amazing. It feels like a sports bar. If you want to watch a game, you must come here!

Honestly, it's a great restaurant for a steak burger in town! I've never had one and thought the steak wouldn't be as appetizing, but it's made perfectly.
I got a 1/2 pound smokehouse burger with large Texas fries....great combo and price. I like how the vegetables are fresh and plentiful to balance the huge steak.
The environment is a modern-day sports bar that is themed with Fanatic memorabilia...a little too much sports memorabilia on the walls, but it's not too tacky. Think more 90s TGIF restaurant-y vibes.
The staff there is great and really nice, although the guy running the cashier seemed a bit impatient, but I'll chalk it up to a long Saturday for him.
Parking is decent because it butts against a neighborhood, but parking could be rough if a major sporting event or party is held at the restaurant.
Overall, it is solid 5, not going to knock em a star for above mentioned statements.

This is my favorite casual restaurant for burgers. The service is friendly and efficient. The burgers were juicy and the cheese in the mozz sticks had a nice pull. I would give Kirk's 6 stars if I could.

Jul 22, 2024Had a chance to visit Kirk's SteakBurgers for a yummy night out and so glad that I did! I went with my hubby and this is a cute casual spot that is great for a nice bite and drinks. Once we got here there were a lot of people but we got to order the following:
* Bacon Bleu Burger - this was delicious and the flavors went so perfectly well together. The strips of bacon were also really juicy and crunchy
* Pineapple Bacon Burger - This was yummy and the sweetness of the pineapple went really well with the rest of the burger
* Cajun Fries - These were very well flavored and seasoned well. Loved the crunch and would order these again
Overall great experience - I would totally go back and service here was also really great also!

So, I am back down to 3 stars with Kirk's. It feels like now that they are past the first few opening months the food has slipped. The last few times we ordered burgers they just didn't taste good, and they were over cooked hockey pucks each time.
One time we dined in, (I do still love the servers/bartenders there), but the food was subpar. And the tables are still too crowded together. The next couple of times we ordered via DD and again, the food was subpar each time. They are also still listing lettuce, tomato, etc. for the burgers on DD and still not sending it. That gets annoying. They either need to send it or remove it from their descriptions.
Will I be back? I am not really sure. They are too expensive to have the quality and taste of the food be a crap shoot like it has been the last several times we have ordered.

I'm happy to see that the previous waitresses that we loved are still working there. The redo of the restaurant was long overdo, and it does look nice. I'm wondering if the outside tent can be removed/opened up at all once summer kicks in though. The one thing I loved previously was being able to sit on the patio with my dog and enjoy the slight breeze that would blow across the patio from time to time. It seems like that tent might make it a little too hot once the weather heats up. We will see.
What I don't like is the overly cramped tables outside. Before, it changed hands there was room, and you weren't on top of each other. Now, you can really hear your neighbors conversation, and there isn't much room between the tables for personal space. If they lost a table (at least) on each side I would be more inclined to go there more often.
It is nice that you can still bring your dog. Previously, I could get a pretty generous piece of grilled chicken breast for my dog for $5.00. They now offer brown rice with either chicken, hamburger, or even salmon. The price was somewhere around $11.00 though. It is a big portion and it includes rice, but it still seems a bit high.
They definitely changed the vibe. They now have "signature" cocktails, and a little more extensive options on drinks. The burgers have been a lot better, which is good. We had one time, where we did DoorDash and the meat tasted weird. I think it was some seasoning they used, and it was not good. The next time it seemed to be back to normal thankfully.
We like to get the half and half with the garlic fries and the onion strings. Those are really good, and they seem to travel well (we aren't that far though). It's a huge portion too. We tried the Sourdough burger when we dined in once and that was not good at all. It was dry, and the items that were included (bacon and pepper jack) were sparse. So, we stick to the cheeseburger, and add other items we may want.
Also, be aware that if you order through a food delivery service they do not include any of the other items (lettuce, pickle, tomato, onion, and grill sauce) that they list in their description on the app. I have mentioned it in the app when reviewing, but it seems they don't read those I guess. They either need to remove those ingredients completely from the app description, or start sending them. We have ordered delivery a few times and not once did they include those items. And if you order condiments it is a hit or miss if you even receive them.
All in all, it seems like they have stepped up their game. Despite the few things I listed that I wasn't thrilled about, they still are putting out a pretty good quality burger. They definitely are on the pricier side, but so are most places lately.Jun 4, 2021Previous reviewThis place used to be my Aunt's absolute favorite. I have gone there off and on since I was a kid and it was always pretty good. For a while there was an angry older gentleman that worked there/owned it (maybe?) so we stopped going because he was unpleasant and it just wasn't worth dealing with him. So I haven't been in since and don't know what the customer service is like at the restaurant when you dine in nowadays. This time, and last, we did DoorDash.
What I love is that the hamburger has that grilled taste and the meat tastes fresh (on both delivery orders). The produce they use for their toppings seems fresh. Plus, the patty is a nice thick patty. But that is about where it ends for me.
Since I think the quality of the meat is huge and I like that grilled taste I think the meat warrants the 3 stars.
The problems I have with the burgers though is that the last two times there was absolutely no seasoning. Maybe some people just want the grilled taste and that's why they don't season the meat at all? If so, it is definitely not my preference. Even a touch of salt and pepper would be nice but both times, aside from that grilled flavor, they were pretty bland. I don't remember how the buns were last time but this time they were super chewy. I ended up pulling the patty out and eating it on its own. My dog even spit out the bun but he also prefers his pretzels with hummus on them so...
There seems to be either a lack of attention to quality control/detail or just a lack of caring about delivering quality service to the customer. On both deliveries we added extras and both times they didn't bother to put them on. This time we asked for extra mayo on one of the burgers and they barely put any. The last time we paid for extra cheese on the burger and they didn't add all of it. I know for sure because we asked for cheddar and Swiss and they didn't add the Swiss. The first time is a mistake. The second time there is something not being managed correctly.
This time we ordered their Signature Cajun Ranch fries and as you can see in the pic there are about five whole fries with a smattering of ranch on them. Ranch is in the name of your fries and you can barely get any on them?? It is a huge order though. When you order on the DD app you get an option of family size or medium. We figured medium would be like a normal medium and each ordered some. Nope, one medium is a huge order that will feed more than two people.
Price wise they are comparable to the surrounding restaurants. I still think $30+ for two burgers and two orders of fries is on the high side but that seems to be the going rate around here for non fast food burgers.
All in all I probably won't be back. I prefer a more flavorful burger and for me, they just don't seem as good as they used to be. 
Mar 26, 2024Wow, this new location for the Campbell restaurant is 100 times better than the old one. Modern everything, a very inviting atmosphere, sports memorabilia on the walls, plenty of large flat screen TVs with excellent picture quality for watching sports, super spacious indoor and outdoor dining areas as well as the bar section, and a small parking lot. I only ordered to go, but service was outstanding on a Monday evening. The employee helping me was friendly and efficient, and gave off a very warm and welcoming vibe. My order was ready in just 5 minutes.
Got the jalapeno cheddar burger with everything except no pickles and no extra onions (cuz it already comes with onion rings inside). It was super delicious, juicy burger patty, flavorful jalapenos (came whole in the burger), onion rings that were still crisp by the time I got home, a tasty house sauce, it even came with thick slices of bacon (which was not listed on the menu). No complaints here, it was a very satisfying steakburger. Now, I wanna come back to try more of what they have to offer, especially their milk shakes.Helpful 12Thanks 2Love this 13Oh no 1

Had lunch here two days in a row.
First day was with my office neighbor Rob and he had the Big Kirk Burger which is served on a soft French roll. He loved it. Juicy and very flavorful!
Second day, today I went with my childhood friend Jack. Jack had the Big Kirk Burger on the soft French roll and said it was juicy and very flavorful!
Two different people both say it was delicious.
I had the regular hamburger both days and it was delicious. Juicy flavorful meat on a soft bun with fresh vegetables. So wonderful!
Both days we split a large 1/2 ring and 1/2 fries. Super delicious!
The service was wonderful and friendly!
The ambiance is super nice! They remodeled the inside and it is very inviting to stay there all day and watch TV.
Great place, I hope to be back soon!
