One of the few places open through the pandemic ! They are deemed as an essential service-Transportation. So if you need your car fixed it will be fine.

I was able to get work done on my vehicle and it was about a week but o had a rental car and it all worked out. The staff was professional and accommodating. I highly recommend Kirmac.

Fast, reliable, simple. I called to get an appointment. Brought in the car for the assessment. Angelo took care of the paperwork. Then I got a call back to schedule the repair. I told them my schedule, they worked around it. Then I picked it up when told me it'd be ready. Now it looks like new.

I can't say enough about this location!!
The receptionist (Kathy) is amazing and efficient. She got the job done and knew what she was talking about to get me from start to finish.
The car guys also know what they are doing to get the job done and get it done right
to top it off they washed the car inside and out, they went the mile to get some really yucky film of green mossy stuff out of the crevices of the exterior of the van especially the top where the roof racks are!!
      excellent service
      knowledgeable staff
and to top if off ... they make huge donations to Children's Hospital!!

This place is a joke. At first I was really pleased that they could accommodate me and take my car in so quickly, but that was the extent of my satisfaction.

I dropped my car off on December 21st and was told that it could take up to 2 weeks to repair due to the holidays and extent of damage. I was super understanding of that and told them I would happily wait. They assured me that someone would update me every few days regarding the status of the repairs. Great!

2 weeks in, not a single person had called me, and when I called to follow up they could not locate my car. (Excuse me - what????). They located it and told me it would probably be another few days.

It is now January 21st, 31 days after I dropped off my car. I attempted to pick it up this morning and was very understanding of the staff's explanation of the repairs and the time it took to complete everything. Being in customer service myself, I know that it doesn't help anyone to come into these situations with a bad attitude.

I thought it was all good until I actually went to check the car myself... in addition to floor mats and my auxiliary wire missing, the side mirror camera is still not working! Something that I had mentioned SPECIFICALLY on the work order! 31 days in and the repairs are STILL NOT COMPLETE. I'm currently waiting for it now after insisting it gets fixed today so I never have to come back to this place. Raging internally about this totally unacceptable situation.

On top of that, the rental car they gave me on day 1 smelled so intensely of smoke that I had to go to Enterprise myself to request a replacement. All around super disappointing service. The only good thing about this place WAS the old manager, Scott, who was so professional and nice, but who no longer works there. I would give this place 0 stars if I could.

      Updated review

      ** Update **
A day after posting my review, the Manager of the Kirmac Vancouver location at East 1st Avenue contacted me. We had a good chat about the incident. He undoubtedly had seen my online review, but despite this his concern seemed genuine. He admitted their errors, asked if there was anything they could do right now to help me out, promised better training for their staff, and offered to help me out in the future with any insurance or non-insured bodywork that I may need. He also gave me his direct cell number. While this doesn't totally erase my experience at Kirmac, it does make me feel much better that this company does care about customer service. I hope their 'glass expert' from my experience gets the training she needs.

Walking into the reception first thing in the morning I was struck by the collegial buzzing through the place. The vibe was bright. The service was stellar. When I picked up my car it was sparkling clean and the work was done very well.

The manager and receptionist Adrienne were especially considerate and accommodating. Santos (?) who inspected my car had easy old school manners an elder would be proud of too.

It was well past closing time when I arrived to pick up my car. I'd had a secret hope if I walked by someone would be working late and I might be able to pay and sign off on the repair. Amazingly they unlocked the door, booted the computer back up and processed my payment with grace and smiles.

Superb service and work. So much so that I wrote my first yelp review for a car service and perhaps the second one of my life. They were so authentically engaged in good service made me confident I'd return, if I ever have to (though I'm keen to avoid needing more car repairs they make it a positive experience!)

Way to be a great manager and inspire a team of committed, courteous and charming staff.

I do not recommend Kirmac Collision. They are efficient at what they do - but no more than that. They do not follow up or care whether their customers are satisfied with the work that they have done after they have been paid. They are busy and I presume all from ICBC claims. My whole ordeal took place over 7 months. No thanks to Kirmac. But thank you to Ben at H-Tech Motors in Richmond and West Coast Frame and Alignment.

If you have time to read further, this is the story...

I unluckily got into an accident last Halloween. A car swerved into my lane, hit my car and forced me right over a curb and into a street sign. The car straddled this curve so it could not reverse or move forward. When a tow truck came to get it, it had to pull it over the raised curve scraping the whole undercarriage. I had decided to have it towed to Kirmac in East Vancouver as it was located close to my home. There it was also inspected for my ICBC claim.

#1) When I met the individual inspecting the damage on my car at Kirmac, he led me to my front license plate. He flat out stated, "This is a bullet hole." Not in a joking way, might I add. I should have left then and there. I said, "There is no way that it is. Why and how?" "There is a clean hole that goes straight through the plate". I responded, "That must have been something on the street sign that I hit. Like a bolt or something protruding from the post." The individual did not apologize for making such an accusation, and in my head I was thinking, "Am I being too sensitive?". I let it go but after the other experiences that followed at Kirmac, I should have followed my gut.

#2) Kirmac repaired my car quickly and the desk staff was very friendly and helptful. BUT, A MONTH LATER, I started hearing creaking under the car when braking and accelerating my car. I took it to my trusted mechanic (whom I will YELP about later), and asked about it. He looked under my car but recommended that I take it back to Kirmac. He said my car was too new (around 30,000 km) to have such issues so it may be related to my last accident.

#3) The manager of Kirmac (Khong?) is very confident, but you have to carefully listen to his words. When I went to see him regarding the issues that I was having, he introduced me to the mechanic at Gord's Autobody (Kirmac outsources to the shop across the street). I went for a drive with the mechanic and I explained the issues that I was having. He agreed that there was an audible creaking. He went to the manager and they secretly had a conversation. The manager then came to me and stated that because the right side of my car was damaged and repaired, maybe the other side needed to be fixed for "balance" BUT ICBC won't cover that because it was not the initial point of contact in the accident. I would need to pay for a new part and they would repair it, so I paid for the part and guess what - the sound reappeared in days. In fact, the creaking was getting louder and more frequent.

#4) Two weeks later (when I had time), I returned to state that the problem was not repaired. The Kirmac manager, Khong, met me again and introduced me to yet another mechanic but this time stressed the phrase "customer pay" when talking about potential repairs. I rode with this other mechanic and he stated the sound he heard was definitely related to my accident. He was going to look under the car, talk to Khong, and find the source of the creaking. Three hours later, I returned to get my car. The mechanic stated that he found a nail in my tire, it was getting flat and the pressure was causing the car to make the creaking sound. He insisted my car was fixed.

#5) I drove my car around and the sound was still there. I returned to Kirmac and the manager stated that he could not do anything about it and that it was unrelated to my accident. I get the sense was that ICBC was not going to pay Kirmac anymore to fix my car...so it was not a priority to find out what the problem was. He did not give a shit anymore.

#6) I talked to my own trusted mechanic (Ben at H-tech) and he recommended that I go to a Frame and Alignment Specialist as the creaking in the undercarriage still persisted. I later brought it to Westcoast Frame and Alignment, they easily found a loose bolt and found the issue immediately. In fact, the job was so "easy" that they did not even charge me! THANK YOU WEST COAST FRAME AND ALIGNMENT!!

Kirmac - no thank you for 7 months of stress. You even stated to my ICBC adjuster that there was nothing more that you could have done. WRONG. You could have taken the time to look for that loose part in the undercarriage. If you did or even cared to, you could have fixed it as easily as West Coast Frame and Alignment did. Customer service means a lot to many. Kirmac has none...H-Tech Motors and West Coast Frame and Alignment do.

I had an extremely positive experience with Kirmac Collision in Vancouver.

When deciding which shop to go to with my vehicle, I had an estimate done. While at Kirmac I was able to see the different areas that the car would be going through, including the paint shop, the body shop, etc. Every area was spacious and very clean and bright. Each employee in these areas greeted me. It was a very calm and positive environment.

Adrienne, at the front end, took amazing care of me. In spite of the business of the shop, each employees at the front end knew my name when I returned to pick up the car. Really great customer service and atmosphere in this shop.

And the car repair? It could not have been better. Obvious attention to detail and excellent work. I have no hesitation recommending this shop.
