    About the Business

Serving authentic Korean food in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kiss My Seoul believes that the stereotypical Korean food diet is misleading in America, referring to the "all-you-can-eat-BBQ". Traditional Korean cuisine is very healthy by nature. The food is more about the variety of vegetables and freshness of your ingredients rather than unlimited amounts of barbequed meat. Bibimbap, one of the national dishes of Korea, is a perfect example. The bowl is layered with rice and topped with protein along with numerous vegetables. The dish is sauced with a spicy and sweet red pepper paste known as gochujang and mixed together so one eats a little bit of everything in each bite. We also started offering our Kimcheese Smashburgers at our new restaurant space in SoMa SF. The flavors of these burgers reflect the childhood memories of Chef Alex growing up in America.

      2 check-ins

It was a pleasant surprise to see a Korean-American fusion cafe sitting right across the Courthouse on Bryant Street.

I've checked-in once for breakfast and for my second, lunchtime! I was impressed by the Hashbrown sandwich since the taters acted as the omelette. The crisp potatoes were fried perfectly as a 10-12" hashbrown pancake. The pancake was folded over my choice of all the requested ingredients: bacon, egg, spinach, mushrooms and onions. It was a special request since I longed for veggies with my protein!

On my second day, I had time to explore the lunch menu and opted for the Kimcheese Smashburger. Personally, I'm not a fan of official Smashburgers, but Kiss My Seoul did its thing for what it's worth.

I've tried the Korean style dumpling, the Mandu and this item was fried perfectly well. It tasted refreshing with the noodles and veggies inside. The sweet and tangy Mandu dipping sauce complemented the dumplings really well.

Considering that Kiss my Seoul is located among a busy crowd of the justice league, the ambiance behind appears straight down to "eat and go". There is even a small area of beverages and dry goods to pick at in the corner by the cashier.

I valued the fact that Kiss My Seoul took its time to cook up delicious and great quality cuisine. It's a convenient place for the folks working around the Hall of Justice.

I love smash burgers and Korean food! I was underwhelmed with my burger and fries.

It seemed like someone had frozen fries and patties from Costco and tossed some Kim chi on it. It all looks delicious, but really can't see myself going back.

The smashburger caught my attention. Got there right at noon, and beat the lunch rush. Placed my order - smashburger (double, $12) with fries ($3). I would say it was ready in about 5 minutes.

The bun was pillowy soft, and the burger was juicy and tasty. Liked that the fries were thin, but it was a bit too cooked for my liking. Quite a bit of fries, though. Just wished they weren't so over fried.

Another hidden SoMA gem. Located in the same alley as Dinosaurs. It has a very unassuming entrance but as soon as the door opens, there is a surprisingly large indoor cafe space.

Got a mini chicken bowl which was a decent size for a lunch portion. I also noticed they have a breakfast menu they stop serving at 11AM which I wouldn't mind trying in the future.

The wife and I had the Bulgogi Cupbap and the Oh my Chicken. Both of these were super flavorful with a very healthy portion. The veggies were crisp and the sauce was finger licking good. Highly recommend this spot. Sorry no picture cause I was hungry and decided to enjoy the meal without a photoshoot.

An excellent find!! Quick, delicious, hot and well prepared. Though I wish I could eat a regular size bowl, the mini is perfect for me. The mini cupbap- I had the bulgogi- satisfied my Korean craving more than well with all the elements- meat, noodles, vegetables and rice. Who could ask for more? And you can get a cappuccino to go!

The mural kept my eyes entertained. I'm looking forward to more soon! The chef/owner was there which was great. It seems like a light, bright, efficient and happy vibe which is my kind of place. I'm looking to try more soon!

Double cheese smash burger with grilled onions was fire ! The bun was soft & sweet (like a Hawaiian roll) but not to "bready" if you know what I mean... and the special sauce was perfect spread. The fries hit too! Usually you don't get both at the same place. Im still drooling on how good this burger was.

Wanna eat like an Olympian, come here!

Chef Alex is the best! I got a mini galbi cupbap and an order of Kiss My Fries. The cupbap was bomb! It was so good, I finished the whole thing. The sauce for the galbi was on point! His meals are portioned out so you have vegetables to balance your meal.

The fries were also really good. I did request to remove the green tomatillo sauce but it wasn't a big deal that I got it, I was able to remove it. The fries were a huge portion so if you are ordering it as a side, you might want to get the smaller cupbap if you don't eat a lot. I was able to save the fries and eat it for dinner, which was a plus. The fries are stacked with a lot of kimchi and meal, feels like another meal on its own.

Overall 5 stars! Great service, delicious food, and above and beyond portion sizes. Recommend giving it a try!

Smash Burger with Kimchi ftw! The burger was cheesy, grilled oniony, and saucy.... Easily the best burger I've ever had. Pickled cucumbers were also really good.
