Kissako Sushi

We drove by without seeing the place the first time and had to double back. It's in a row of stores and doesn't stand out. They have a few tables and only one was occupied when I arrived and only a couple people got takeout while I was there. It's not a place you come to for the ambiance. However, the sushi rolls were excellent. My wife had numerous questions which were answered promptly and knowledgably.

Our salads (Seaweed and Green) were both excellent. The green salad had a few different types of lettuce, baby spinach, cucumber, avacado, and a very tasty dressing. I was impressed because it wasn't the typical "sushi place" salad I'm used to.

The spicy tuna roll was certainly spicy and fresh. The Rock & Roll was amazing. The seared, chopped scallops on top were a great addition to the cucumber, avocado, crab meat, and sauce. The Washington Roll was a little similar with cucumber, avocado, and crabmeat inside, but the fresh salmon on top was delicious. The Awesome Roll again was similar with the cucumber, avocado, and crabmeat inside, but cooked salmon on top, with crispy yam strands on top of that. Excellent presentation and taste.

I was a little concerned about trying the place because it had five stars, but not many reviews, and none recent. I'm happy I tried it and recommend it to the locals and visitors as well. (I was visiting Victoria from the US.)

Cute little sushi spot with tasty food, reasonably priced. And very importantly, fresh and clean. I won't eat raw fish at any Japanese restaurant that had kitchen/fish smell it's a sure sign I will have tummy trouble later. This tiny little restaurant had no smell whatsoever and I could tell from the Chirashi don everything is very fresh.

This little sushi bar on 82nd is a nice place. Not high concept but competent. I enjoyed my lunch and it looks as if they make an effort to offer higher end cuts, beyond what one might expect on 82nd. Decent place. Nice folks.

We had a great, quick meal here tonight. It was fresh and delightful. We'll be back for more.

Amazing service and sushi! Always feel so welcomed in this space. Even after not visiting for awhile, the owner remembers me or my partner.

This is absolutely, my favourite sushi restaurant in Oak Bay. I eat here on a regular basis and have ordered platters for large functions. It has a warm and cozy atmosphere and the choices are fantastic. My favourites are the "Angry roll" and the chopped scallops and avocado roll.

This is my absolute favourite sushi place. Great fresh food, amazing service and a cozy atmosphere. They remember my usual orders and always have a smile on their faces. A great find! Highly recommend!!

A gem in Oak Bay. Someone from another restaurant recommended this place for lunch. We were so glad to enjoy our lunch here. We had the Dynamite and Spicy Salmon. Both had high quality fresh fish. Portions were sizable, and very reasonably priced. Miso soup was delicious and hit the spot on a windy day.

Excellent sushi. I had the rainbow roll and tuna maki. Best rainbow roll I've had. Restaurant is small and cozy and run by a nice Japanese couple. Quick service. Highly recommend this place.

Such an amazing hidden gem! New favorite sushi in Victoria. Everything is so fresh, quality, and thoughtfully prepared. The owner operators are warm and kind and are doing something special. Highly recommend. Try the Awesome Roll!
