My best 3 minutes of the day today. This is a 5 star review for a service I never recieved. Hear me out. I spent all my morning trying to find an HVAC expert to fix the heating for my tenants. I also learnt through the day that I know literally nothing about heating systems and turns out we have a special snowflake situation scenario of having the heating system in the ceiling. Bill was super sweet. He is a great listener. He heard me trying my level best to describe the problem and ranting about the awful day I was having! He didn't have the bandwidth to come out any time soon to check out the issue so he did something that only one other person in the 15+ calls I had made today did. He gave me a referral!!! Thanks to my 3 minutes with Bill my tenants have their heat back on tonight! I hope I don't have too many more HVAC issues but now I have two experts that I absolutely trust to do the right thing for me. Thank you Bill!

Bill lives up to his reputation and takes pride in his work. He's well known in San Francisco because you can tell he enjoys his work.

I had a 30+ year heater that just needed to go. Our heater had broke so we called Bill in to assess the situation on Friday. He came back the next Monday and swapped out the unit.

His workmanship is clean and he was able to recommend me a cost effective heater option. Would definitely recommend!

I had the good fortunate of selecting Bill Kohler when the furnace went out in a rental property I have. Instead of extorting me by asking for a flat fee to simply come out to the property to diagnosis the issue and give me a quote, he patiently worked with me during the phone call to guide me attempt to fix the furnace!. After unsuccessfully exploring different ways to get the furnace operating, Bill made an appointment to come to the property the very next day. We arranged to meet at 2:00pm but Bill called earlier because his morning job had ended. We then made an appointment to meet at the property at 11:30am. He was already there when I arrived! He then examined the non-operating furnace and patiently showed me and explain the reason why the furnace could not be repaired but needed to be replaced. That having been done, we made an appointment for the following week for Bill to replace the furnace. He showed up on the appointed date with two other extremely competent and affable men. The job was finished in about one hour. Before Bill left he made sure that the furnace was working properly, including connected correctly to the thermostat. He even offered to replace the existing thermostat at no extra charge. I should also add that when Bill first came over he looked at the heat and cold air intake vents in the apartment and advised that they should all be cleaned before the new furnace was installed. He recommended a professional whom I contacted and, like Bill, he responded immediately, came over the next day to clean the vents before the new one was installed. In summary then, Bill is one of the most honest, unaffected, down to earth technicians that I have ever encountered. He is responsive, keeps his word, and does what he says he is going to do. For me personally, his taking time to explain the problem and the solution was very important. If a 10 star rating was possible, I'd give it!

Our 35 year old furnace died last week. I called several heating companies and selected Kohler to replace our furnace. Bill and his crew arrived on schedule, moved our stored stuff out of the way so I didn't have to, and proceeded to do a neat, flawless installation of the new furnace. He left our basement cleaner than when he arrived. The furnace and new thermostat work perfectly. He and his crew, especially Geno, minimized the disruption to our lives and made certain that the job was completed on time and to the highest standard. I highly recommend this company.

Had a question about my furnace in the house we just moved into. Kohler had a sticker on it, so I just called them. Bill was super helpful, and offered an estimate. I told him I would like to try DIYing it and he gave me a ton of tips and even asked me to send pictures so he could see the problem. Thanks Bill!

Bill is responsive, reliable, and on time. He solved my heater issue within a hour, checked the heater condition, inspected critical parts, taught me the mechanism and how the heater works and what the signal means. Not only I had heated air again I also learned about the heating system and how it works. Overall very happy.

I felt like the actual service was fine. Bill was friendly and his crew did a good job and was on time. The big problem is the heater itself. Bill guaranteed me that this heater would work even better then the old one that had broken down. That has turned out to be very far from the truth. I have to put it on 80 degrees before it really starts to heat up even the living room. If I had known how badly this heater would perform, I would have gone fora better heating unit. Now I am stuck with this one, as I can't afford to start all over again.

The heating in our house stopped working unexpectedly. From the first interaction, Bill was kind and helpful -- he even tried to solve the issue over the phone in case an in-person visit wasn't needed. He came over the next morning and had our furnace repaired within an hour! Highly recommend!

I found Kohler Heating via Yelp, and I had a great experience with them. Bill installed 2 new gas wall heaters for us, replacing broken ones. Bill was responsive, reliable, and extremely knowledgable. He communicated clearly -- I understood what work needed to be done & why, what the tradeoffs were, and what his team ended up doing. They completed the job faster than he quoted and were friendly and efficient throughout the process. Highly recommend Kohler Heating and will be hiring them again for future heating needs!

Needed a wall heater. Bill responded the same day and had the new heater installed in 24 hours. Fantastic service.
