Kokoro Clinic

This is a cute, cool spot. I came here when I was attending an event by another person. I like the filtered water that's available. I love the art on the walls, one goal is to actually go to an art opening.

But every time I go, the space is nice and clean. When it's cold, there is a heater. They have a nice spot for us to drop off our shoes while we go in for treatment. I look forward to coming here and look forward to future visits.

I am forever grateful that a flyer brought me to Wanda and Kokoro Clinic.

I was experiencing numbness in my foot due to an old car accident injury, was given a flyer for Kokoro Clinic, and called Wanda for community acupuncture. The thing I liked about my initial phone call was that Wanda directed me towards another community acupuncture clinic (as she had stopped offering the service) and did not press me to come see her. I ended up calling her back the next day and making an appointment.

Kokoro Clinic does not take insurance and I initially hesitated to book because of this. I am extremely glad that I did end up booking, and I will continue to receive treatment here. Wanda is top notch and certainly well worth the cost.

What sets Wanda apart from other acupuncturists I've seen is her thorough approach. She took the time to dive deep into my health history, asked follow up questions, and, most importantly, listened to me!

Her initial intake uncovered a lot of different issues in addition to the numbness in my foot. I have never had a health practitioner care so deeply about all aspects of my health (physical, mental, emotional) and her empathy really stood out to me. As my care is more complex, Wanda had a few referrals for me and they have been healing my mind, body, and soul in addition to Wanda's treatments.

The clinic itself is immediately calming when you walk in and Wanda has a soothing presence that adds to the ambiance. There are cubbies for your shoes and you receive treatment in 1 of 2 private rooms in the clinic.

Kokoro Clinic is more than just a healthcare facility; it is a sanctuary for those seeking genuine healing and compassionate care. Wanda's expertise, kindness, and dedication have had a profound impact on my health, and I highly recommend Kokoro Clinic to anyone in search of a holistic and transformative approach to well-being.

I went to see Wanda Dabkoska L.Ac., the proprietor of Kokoro clinic, on the advice of a friend (Thank you, Amber!). I had developed eczema, and my Kaiser dermatologist was disappointing in his blase attitude and prescription for steroidal ointment, which had minimal impact.

Wanda took a much larger view of the problem, including diet, personal and work habits, and my mental state. She suggested a food sensitivity test, and offered acupuncture and an herbal remedy intended to generally help my skin. She suggested some changes in diet and habits, and told me that the problem, which at that time had lasted more than a year, would likely take several months to improve.

She was right. But after just a few weekly treatments, i started to see physical improvement, and the itching started to relent. The rash stopped spreading. And I just generally felt better.

Now, after about 4 months of treatment, the rash is about 90% gone, there have been no new outbreaks in more than a month, and there is no itching. I feel like a new person!

In addition, a couple of spots of annoying arthritis were also greatly improved by a few well-placed needles!

Wanda is not a miracle worker. She is better - a true healer who pays attention, considers ALL of the possibilities and digs deep to understand the entire patient, not just an isolated area of distress.

I can't recommend Wanda's services highly enough. I have had acupuncture from several partitioners, and so recognize that she has excellent technique, with the lightest touch. She is happy to explain what she is doing and is knowledgeable in many modes of healing. I enjoyed working with her and look forward to my next visit.

BTW, the clinic itself it a pleasure to visit. Calming Asian-inspired style and many pieces of original art are relaxing and comforting.

Awesome place to get your first acupuncture session! I've never tried acupuncture before but I'm so glad I tried it out today. It was so relaxing and Wanda is so educated about Chinese medicine so overall I felt a lot better. She has a great selection of herbs and vitamins too.

Wanda was able to provide more relief from long standing muscle spasms than any other practitioner I've visited over the years. She is acutely trained in active release technique (instant release of muscle spasms) in addition to traditional acupuncture and herbal treatments (more holistic approach).

I started seeing Wanda at the height of a full blown health crisis. I had multiple endocrine related health issues and chronic pain. Wanda's acupuncture treatments, supportive health tracking, and joyful and loving presence was one of the pillars of my recovery. Her care supported me in regaining my health and having a much deeper understanding of my body and my chronic health issues.

I LOVE Wanda. She is kind, funny, very present, and is willing to think out of the box with you. Her deep passion for Chinese medicine creates an environment for healing steeped in curiosity and joy.

During the pandemic I did sessions with her online doing acupressure meditations and these were also deeply nourishing. Her care and support has been invaluable to my life and I couldn't recommend her enough.

Wanda is an angel on earth with the needles, literally. I am so grateful I found her and her life altering work. I always walk out of my appointments feeling light and renewed. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether it's from the treatment itself or her kind and enthusiastic energy, but I will take it all! Wanda is knowledgeable, gentle, has razor sharp intuition about your body & its needs, and is a delight to talk to.

Wanda has worked with me for years now on various health things as they come and go. Her ability to gently question, examine, and pinpoint (pun not intended but it stays) an issue is extraordinary. Her approach is very soft but direct, and supportive.
