Delicious lunch spot! I came here for a late lunch craving beef chow fun, and Yelp led me to this spot.
I was promptly seated and ordered the curry fish balls, beef chow fun, and HK milk tea (hot). The curry fish balls were ok (wouldn't order those again). The beef chow fun was delicious and hit the spot! Exactly what I was craving. The milk tea was very rich and creamy. Service was fast and efficient.

It looked like a few others got the lava French toast, some baked rice dish. I would come back to try some of the other dishes!

Delicious and affordable Hong Kong-style diner in Chinatown! They have an assortment of dishes ranging from classics (beef chow fun, fried rice) to western-influenced (cheesy ramen and pastas!). I came in a group of 6 and we split 5 dishes + 1 toast and it was plenty of food.
      We got:
-Beef Chow Fun (delicious and chewy noodles)
-Shanghai Style Seafood w Egg White fried rice (plentiful mix of seafood- scallops are delicious!)
-XO sauce fried instant noodle w pork chop (so delicious- my favorite!)
-Baked Fried Rice w pork chop (unique and saucy and cheesy)
      -Beef and Broccoli (fine)
-Golden Lava French Toast (perfect dessert- creamy and sweet!)

Service is speedy and the food comes out quickly. It can get busy so you might have to wait a bit but it's well worth! The food is overall delicious and affordable- the total for each person was only around $15. I would 100% be back, especially to try their HK-style breakfast!

Note: only breakfast menu items available before 11am. An ok place for Hong Kong cuisine. Some hit and misses.

The biggest miss, surprisingly was the milk tea. Disappointedly, it wasn't smooth at all. They must be having a bad day. Hong Kong cafes are usually known for their milk teas.

All breakfast sandwiches come with a free milk tea.

Tried the truffles egg on toast. This tasted good; better than the avocado egg on toast that I also tried. Actually... didn't like the avocado toast at all. The avocado is mixed with some other ingredients, making it more easily spreadable, like mayo. You get a thin layer of it, then it's topped with scrambled eggs. I found it to be rather bland. I would pass on this.

I wanted to try the spaghetti with bacon and mushrooms in truffle sauce but this is an entree and only breakfast items can be ordered before 11am.

Decor: Some nice booth seating on the side. Some tables are pretty close together. It's in one of the newish buildings, so its kinda modern looking.

Parking: there is free parking at the indoor garage, right around the corner. Very convenient! Just remember the parking is only free for 1 hour. If you go over that time, it might end up costing you $9+. Remember to validate your parking ticket, with the cashier.

This place is usually very popular. Get there early, otherwise expect a wait.

I've heard great things about this place and took my dad here for breakfast. This place gets really busy! We got there about 30 minutes after they opened and by the time we finished ordering there was already people waiting to be seated.

We ordered the spam and egg sandwich, satay beef noodles, and golden lava french toast. The satay beef noodles came with a choice of beverage, so of course opted for the HK coffee and milk tea.

While the food is simple (and probably not the healthiest), it's one of my comfort foods. They are probably most known for their golden lava french toast, which is deep fried toast with custard. I scraped off the giant slab of butter on top since the dish is already a lot for me, but it was so good! I would recommend sharing with the table. The HK coffee and milk tea was solid and was very nostalgic.

Food came out super fast and we didn't feel rushed despite how busy it got. It's quite clean inside which is always a bonus. The menu can be a little overwhelming since there are so many choices, but I don't think you can go wrong.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. The staff was pretty friendly and that was as far as it got. I got the salted egg yolk, shrimp, Fried Rice and it was a hot grittiness. I'm so sad because it's one of my favorite dishes. It seems that they put some type of starch on the egg yolk when they fry the rice, causing it to be a crunchy starchy. Inevitable dish. Even the shrimp were coated in this awful gummy starch. For the shrimp Friday's note, you will only have 4 shrimp and no, they are not jumbo. They are regular large shrimp. The staff was nice enough to switch out my dish and I went with one of the popular dishes with beef chow fun noodles. Though the flavor was okay, it was devoid of any of the green veggies and had an odd texture. It tasted okay, but it seems like they have issues over cooking noodles as my dish and my friends were pretty gummy. I think I'll steer clear.

Kong Sihk Tong is located on Bayard Street and is one of the many Hong Kong cafe choices in Chinatown. The menu offers a range of traditional Chinese cuisine and modern Hong Kong-style dishes.

I came here on a Saturday evening around 6:00 pm and ordered takeout. When you walk in, you'll see the cashier counter with a table with menus next to it and in front of the counter is a very small waiting area with 3 chairs. I took a look at the menu and ordered the Steamed Rice Roll with Mixed Peanut Butter Sauce and the Beef Chow Fun in Brown Sauce. I spoke Cantonese and English with the staff. I sat on one of the chairs and waited about 10 minutes for my order to be ready. I was surprised by how quickly the food was ready. The restaurant was a bit busy with people eating and doing takeout. Most of all the tables were taken. It is a really cozy and homey cafe.

The Steamed Rice Roll with Mixed Peanut Butter Sauce and the Beef Chow Fun in Brown Sauce were delicious and reminded me of home cooking. The mixed peanut butter sauce was very yummy and the steamed rice roll was fresh. Because I did takeout, the steamed rice roll came in a plastic container and a few rice rolls didn't have sauce on the bottom. The beef in the chow fun was tender and the chow fun sauce was very good. Some mushrooms, carrots, and vegetables were in the dish as well. Both were good portions.

I can't wait to come back to Kong Sihk Tong and dine in. Importantly, Kong Sihk Tong only accepts cash or Venmo.

Standouts are the Golden Lava French Toast and the Fried Shrimp with Mayo. While their entree items like the Crispy Fried Egg Noodles and Salty Duck Egg with Jumbo Shrimps Fried Rice have exceptional texture, they lack substantial seasoning and depth.

Visited an hour and a half before closing, but the popular Baked Fried Rice was already sold out by then.

Food isn't terrible while the service is questionable. We asked our server for hot chili oil, and they nodded in understanding but proceeded to sit down at a nearby table and eat their own meal. They remembered only after we caught their attention again.

Lastly, I am aware I came near closing time, but the workers were rushing my table out in a very discourteous manner. They checked our bill holder after a couple minutes, saw we hadn't placed a card yet, and motioned in my face to do it. Can't say I see myself going back.

Kong Sihk Tong is a modern Hong Kong café/restaurant that offers a vast array of culinary delights. Upon our arrival, the attentive server promptly informed us of their cash-only policy, which, fortunately, posed no inconvenience as we were prepared (thankfully, my wallet wasn't just full of receipts for once).

Our culinary journey began with the pasta, which, though rich with an enchanting truffle aroma, suffered from an overabundance of salt. The truffle's earthy elegance was regrettably overshadowed by the saltiness, making me feel like I was sampling the ocean :,)

Next, we indulged in the golden lava toast, a true masterpiece of balance and flavor. It wasn't cloyingly sweet; instead, it offered a perfect harmony that was simply delightful (finally, a dessert that doesn't send you straight to the dentist). But the pièce de résistance was undoubtedly the baked rice with pork. This dish, infused with a subtle seafood essence, featured a creamy concoction that melded seamlessly with the rice, bringing back fond memories of childhood meals.

Kong Sihk Tong effortlessly combines traditional flavors with modern culinary techniques, creating a dining experience that is both sophisticated and heartwarming (and occasionally salty). If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend giving this establishment a visit. The diverse menu, coupled with a few exceptional dishes, ensures a memorable dining experience that will leave you longing for more (and maybe with a slight craving for water).

      - Well priced

Authentic HK style food in Chinatown. Food was good and affordable. I went around 6pm on a Sunday and was seated right away. The area I sat at was cozy but still spacious. There appeared to be more seats in the back of the restaurant.

      Food:
      Golden lava toast: 5/5
Must try if you like salted egg yolk flavored stuff. Sweet and savory, this was definitely my favorite

      Beef chow fun: 4.5/5
Flavorful and the noodles and beef were the cooked perfectly. It was mostly noodles and little meat

Baked rice with pork chop in creamy sauce: 3/5
There was a lot of rice and I got tired of eating it. The porkchop was nice and tender which I did enjoy

Will be back for the golden lava toast and other items in their menu!

I couldn't believe how great the price of this place is in NYC!! Most of the dishes' prices range from $6-$11, it's just amazing! The beef Chow Mian was great, the beef was very tender! I wish there was little bit more flavor to it. The sweet sour chicken was pretty good too.
The restaurant is small and busy, not take credit card, only cash or Venmo.
