      I've been in here a few times at different times of the day and the staff are very responsive and proficient. This last time I needed windshield wipers. They had a great selection and after purchasing, they installed them for me... they have other services like charging your battery, loaning tools, and plugging into your cars computer to get an analysis.... Parking is limited hence the four stars, but there's always a spot available...

      I had a return to make, it was handled quickly and professionally as long as you have your receipt or tel number on file it'll be taken care of without a problem. Fair prices ...

      Poor customer service but my questions were answered.

      Sunny Tuesday morning, pimp parking at the very front, walk in and no customers, 2 service people to help me... "i need to purchase windshield whipers and the best brand spark plugs"

      First impression: DULL customer service

      Service guy behind the counter gives me my options betweenn brands and i choose the best brand for both. leaves me at the counter and i ask "i will need help putting my windshield wipers do you think you can help me"

      Second impression: yes he will help you (looks at second guy behind counter)

      We go to my car and he takes off the warped windshield whipers and replaces them with the new one. he takes the old ones off and asks me "do you want to keep these"

      Third Impression: why in the world would i want to keep some beat-up old windshield whipers? does he think i have an antique collection at home or something?

      I respond with No and give him the new blades. He throws the old blades towards the garbage (literally) three feet away, misses, and leaves them there on the sidewalk.

      Forth impression: Are you kidding me?

      As i throw away the packaging of the new windshield wipers i pick up the old blades laying on the side walk HE THREW and tossed them in the garbage.

      Fifth Impression: lazy F&#$, you don't even know how to aim!!!!

      Price: kind of expensive but better then Honda dealerships
      Service: have my wipers and spark plugs!
      Customer service: eh

      I don't know what all these other reviewers are talking about, this place has outstanding customer service, knowledge, and are basically all around great people. Sam really went out of his way to help us find the parts we needed that they didn't have at their store, and some of the guys behind the counter had some really good advice and tips.

      This Kragen is actually a bit out of my way, but the trip is worth it--from now on I will only go here.

      Seriously, this place is terrible. I stopped expecting auto parts store employees to actually know anything about auto parts decades ago, so my standards are not particularly high in any regard, but this place is run by absolute morons who don't even know how to operate their own registers.

      I went in at 8:45-ish to get a spark plug gapper and a socket extension. Girl behind the counter doesn't know what either one of these things are and she's too busy talking to her friend on the phone to care, so I find them myself. It was nearly closing time and I was in a hurry, so I ended up grabbing the wrong size socket extension in my haste.

      Went back in today to exchange it and there's a line of about six people waiting to get to the one operational register. I go and grab the right item and wait my turn. Once I reach the counter, Apu (I'm not being racist, his name really was Apu) tells me he can't do an exchange; I have to go to the parts counter for that. Of course, there's nobody at the parts counter, so I go stand in yet another line.

      And why is there a line at the parts counter? Because 12 year old Nivek can't find the part another customer is asking for despite the fact that he was sent there by another Kragen store several miles away who told him they had it in stock. After listening to this argument for another five minutes, I decided I'd had enough and told Apu--who was now just standing there doing absolutely nothing--that I was taking the 3/8" extension whether he wanted to process the exchange or not.

      "Oh! Is same price?!"

      "You tell me, it's your store."

      "Oh! Okay! Any-teeng else?"

      "Fuck you."

      Why would this place employ such a**holes???

      You don't really expect great service at an auto parts place (sad huh) but this place is THE WORST I'VE EVER HAD.

      I go to an auto parts store because I need an auto part - not to be judged or laughed at for what I am buying - what brand or what the price for the product is.

      KRAGEN YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF FOR YOUR EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

      Great Customer Service from Arun. I went there today and Arun (The employee) went out of his way ( went outside) to see if my car really needs a new gas cap. He went out there taked to me, showed me and explained what I needed and don't need. I am a Customer FOR LIFE! in there store. Thanks to Arun! Great Employee!! and Customer Service is superb!
      I am usually intimated going to auto parts store cause of lack of knowledge on mechanical things regarding cars. But no more. Kragen Auto Parts in Skyline is The Best! Cuz of There Employee (Arun), makes it easier for us to shop.

      I used to really like this place before it was taken over by Kragen's. But now the workers seem disinterested in actually being helpful. I watched a lady ask about a part (she obviously had no clue about cars) and the parts guy was very condescending. Give me a break! Not everyone knows about cars!

      What's worse is that no one knows where to go to purchase your stuff!!! Do we go to the parts counter or the register where no one is manning the front? And is there one line or two or more at the parts counter? We're all standing there looking at the parts guys and each other left wondering where to stand and wait?

      Kragen, the parts counter should be for "PARTS". When you are done, we, the customer, should take our parts to the cashier so we can pay for them. Instead, if we know what parts we want we have to wait in a long slow line at the parts counter to check out!! WTF?!?! Get your heads out of your "tail pipes" and get organized! I'm heading to Auto Zone...

      On the contrary, I thought the service here was quite okay. Apparently they give you 10% off items if you place your order by phone when calling them beforehand. This happens with some items and you want to make sure you mention this.

      I've never really had a problem with finding items for my car, and the guys here are pretty cool at giving you help when they're free. And that's the problem, unlike other Kragen's it takes awhile to get help here as they seem like all other businesses during this economic downturn: being understaffed.
